Just got my Legion yesterday and I couldnt be happier with it ordered all the accessories ahead of time like the dock, monitor, case, keyboard mouse thing is dope
@@GameTechPlanet Bought it used with still 1.5 year warranty and also accedently damage warranty. The Legion go is like new. Gonna upgrade the SSD next. Great video tho.
Optimise Batter Charging is essential for people like me who always use in performance mode whilst plugged in. For any device like laptops if they are permanently plugged in to charge this kill your battery real quick. Optimise keeps the charge at around 80% which is optimal for the life of your battery
@@GameTechPlanet oh sweet thanks man do the switch games run good on it ? id love to play tears of the kingdom again i meen i have switch oled but never use it lol
Auto Vram works great on some. For instance Hogwarts legacy is a stuttery mess if it doesn't pre load shaders, and it only seems to preload shaders if I have the Vram set to Auto.
It definitely has its uses. Its good to be able to change up for different games. In general tho Auto tends to perform worse than a steady set 4 or 6. But yes theres definitely times auto does well or even better. Its so game related
Anyone else having trouble NOT being able to update to the new drivers? .get the 183 error from amd when i try installing new drivers...doesnt effect ghost of tsushima but i keep getting a notification that i need to update to new drivers everytime i play it
Yeah legion space really helps a ton; thanks for the driver info. Glad I learned to use key combination macros for the controller, for things like recording on game bar (mute the microphone if it isn't full screen as it will record everything around you).
Depends on what you're doing it's definitely something that can happen especially if your playing a demanding game and have your legion go maxed out on performance even gaming laptops can drain battery that fast but if your doing light work like internet browsing and have power settings low then there could be a problem
Hello my friend à have the same message for amd driver upgrade in legion space to uppgrade it but it s already installed it is a bug ? Greetings from switzerland
I was between buying this and a gaming laptop, but because of the hot sale (here in Mexico) I prefered to buy the 1 TB Legion Go and a MacBook Air (since I have been an OSX user for more than 14 years) I hope I have made a good choice. I bought it practically as an “extension” to my Xbox Series X. Do you think I made a good choice? Should I request a refund for both devices (4050 or 4060 ram) and only purchase the gaming laptop? I have to say that my main games are: Diablo IV, Diablo II Resurrected, Warzone, Fortnite, Age of Empires, Injustice, most of them are available on Xbox Game Pass. I appreciate your response please. Thanks!
Not him, but in my opinion you did. I use mine mainly for Xbox game pass and everything works great. I also use it to play my epic store games since they always give out stuff for free and have had no problems. Fortnite and COD look so clean on this screen, but I also use external monitor and no lag
I just bought le legion yesterday i know NOTHING with pc!! I was wondering if semeone could help me and thell why it does have a BIG latency on ghost wire but not on hellblade? I heard something about driver?
The first thing which is in some of my tips and update videos is make sure all updates are done. Windows, Microsoft Store, Legion Space all have updates especially when you first buy a Go it will help way behind. Typically takes 1-3 hours to do all the updates in a new Go depending on how it came.
@@GameTechPlanet okay i will look more into it at home!! Great video too!! I realised i wasnt in performance mode too my console was green and blue a bit later!!! I think it might help too!!
Did you leave it default vram or did you up it to 4 or 6 GB. Thats one thing to try if you havent. Make sure drivers and windows are up to date everywhere. Lower resolution and settings some as well to see if helps
In simple terms a driver is software that allows the pc operating system to communicate with ith the hardware. Hence “ driver “ lol. There are a lot of drivers on a pc to communicate with all the hardware. In this video i was mostly talking GPU drivers and Bios.
That happened to me yesterday when I got my Legion GO and updated it as well. Maybe by now you've fixed that issue, but if not - here's what happened and how I fixed it. So it happened to me right after updating the BIOS drivers also (which is the main firmware of the Legion GO) and as soon as it reached 100% progress - the screen went black, and then just the power button was red (instead of blue) and no further sound or activity. I waited for about 3 to 5 mins but I figured that it was probably off... so I pushed the ON button 1 single time (in hindsight I probably should have waited like 30 mins before pushing anything, just in case). Then it seemed like the Legion GO was on and working (fans were on etc and the thumbsticks glowing)... but screen was black. I waited 30 mins because I read in a forum that maybe it was taking a long time because it switched by itself to a very low power CPU profile (so it was super slow) but that you just had to let it finish without interrupting (generally you NEVER want to interrupt a BIOS update to not corrupt and brick your PC). But after waiting 30 mins I decided nah there's nothing happening... so I pushed and held the power button for about 10 seconds to force the device to shut off. I waited about 1 minute while it was off. Then, when I turned it back on, at first it wasn't looking promising, but then suddenly the screen came back and I saw the Legion logo and I knew it was ok. 👍 Certainly a stressful 1st day... so my approach for next time will be to MAKE SURE that the PERFORMANCE / high power profile of the CPU is the one that's turned on (not any lower power ones) before doing updates (especially for the BIOS) to make sure that it goes fast and smoothly. Then, once the updates are in progress I'll leave it for like 1 hour if necessary without pressing anything - just in case. And if all else fails, we can push and hold the power button and force a reboot to hopefully fix things.
Thanks for this! Just bought mine as well today! Quick questions - 1) is it better just to stick with the amd integer scaling setting? 2) do you use playnite? I have it set up and stuff but wondering if I should do without it. Though, I do love having all my games in one “library launcher”
how has it been? im waiting for mine to arrive next thursday. I saw in a vid that apparently the frame generation features has just been added in the newest update.
I upped and outed my oled steam deck and then a rog ally came up yesterday brand new in the box $450! Including next working day delivery z1 extreme version 🙏🙏🙏🏆💚👊
I'm probably going to return mine and get my money back. I haven't been able to play one game so far without it freezing or crashing. Pretty sad because, all I have ever download so far are free demo's, I haven't purchased one game yet because I can't bring myself to buy a game if they aren't going to work. I have all the current updates for the legion too, nothing fixes this issue. I have tried all the different setting and nothing makes a difference. Everything else on the legion go work perfectly as long as I'm not gaming. This thing absolutely does not like it when i try to play a game lol. But i don't want to keep something that just runs like a smart phone I already have one of those. I purchased it to play games because i dont have the money to purchase a nice pc, im a dad my money goes towards my family. That being said I am glad most people are enjoying it and not having the issues I am with mine. 🙂
You did not change it from power saving to performance mode or custom and set to 30watts max. And set vram in bios to 6gb. If you don't like to tinker just buy a steam deck. Less performance and less screen size
