Hey matt, oh absolutely I'll get rid of those... They are pride of place in my collection and represent a wonderful period in my life, they are very very special to me... I hope you're still enjoying your semi-hollow axis too. All the best 👍🎸🙏
This is fun, love your playing. I don't normally like fusiony sounding runs but when you do it, it's great and you insert just right amount of hairiness to make it sound exciting.
The tele has a beautiful sound but due to Teles and the way they are built are limited in tonal variations. The FG model seems to have it all! Hands down 80’s quality and tones , and the Ol’ black strat kicks their butts in so many ways! Bravo Alex cheers mate
Another proof for any guitar player that the most important thing is your playing skills and not what kind of guitar, wood, finish, pickups, strings etc. you have, by listening to this video with eyes closed most people won't even notice when he switches guitars, he could have played a cheap no-name guitar and have sounded great anyway
Always great Mr Hutchings, but here very impressive, your playing is perfection, and your sense of music and improv'!!!!!WhaOow!!! you are a great between the greats! best regards from Reunion Island.
The first time I saw you was with Yamaha Pacifica. Still love that sound. Hope you make more video with that one. Love this video. Many thing I can learn from this. Your lick your sound. Thank you for always inspiring me.
I thought all of the Tele & strat type guitars sounded the best... The Frank Gambale probably sounded the best out of the double humbucker guitars, the pickups sounded more transparent
Thank you bro.... No no splices here....😂 not my style... Glad you enjoyed it... Maybe it should be a challenge we set for others? All the very best 👍🎸🙏
That was insane, Alex. It always boggles my mind how your improvised playing is better than 99% of the composed solos from other guitarists. A true master of the instrument and a musician's musician. To add to the excitement, the way you swapped from one guitar to the next was anxiety-inducing. I keep thinking you're gonna accidentally knock one into another or drop one accidentally. Some people wouldn't worry about that because they feel instruments are meant to be played and a ding or scratch here and there is expected and adds to the history of the gear. But folks in the other camp would FREAK OUT when that happens, because they tend to buy/sell gear constantly, and any blemish that might devalue the gear and lose them money when selling, would be bad.
Thank you mate... You're too kind.. Well I did another take but on a different track and I'm pretty sure I used all 10..plus some of them actually did fall over.....🙈 Will have to upload at some point, if you think you could stomach it....😂👍🎸🙏
I was watching this on TV and had to grab my phone so I could say... That was Awesome! Funny in the best way... And great playing as always! Thanks for brightening our morning!
Hahah Hey Jakub, you remembered....Yes I have it back!! Thank you... I'm so pleased it sits proudly on my wall where it belongs... Maybe I should do a jem Edition? All the very best 👍🎸🙏
@@AlexHutchingsMusic That's great to hear, I ended up buying two of these as well, gorgeous axes. And yes, that's a great idea! It'd be great to watch. Have a great year Alex!
@@AlexHutchingsMusic Absolutely! Is it a G & B bender? I've heard Jimmy Olander or Brad Paisley using these contraptions, but i'd totally love to hear someone with your stylistic background make sense of it. Thumbs up.
Wooow 😳 !!! Much suffering, man. Made by you everything makes sense. Everybody loves seeing you playing the guitar... Can you imagine 10 at the same time? A big hug Master Alex Hutchings ! ! !
Love this idea. Could do 8 of'em all plugged in and switched between with an ES-8 (or 9 guitars if the volume loop is also used) might be quicker change over. I dont think I have that many cables even.
Yes mate, I'm sure I could find a more efficient way of doing it, which I'll have to try with more time... I kind of enjoyed the randomness of trying this way.... But yes I'll have to get on Amazon and by some more cables myself😂 👍🎸🙏
Thank you mate, Yes I know I just realised I missed that one too... Well I have another take on another vid where I'm sure I play all 10. Will upload soon All the best 👍🎸🙏
Alexhutchingsmusic please do the same but with different amps! You are a monater of a guitarist. Please make a tour here in US. You are on my Top 3 favorite list together with Greg Howe and Gambale
Lady’s and gents…. the undeniable Alex Hutchings!!!…I for one have NEVER seen anyone else do that…I suspect because it’s REALLY hard to do!!! Thanks and much love as always Alex 👍🎸💥😘
Hello mate, thanks man, well it started out as a silly idea a I just went for it, I'm sure plenty of people could do it but, I would also like to see it... It's certainly a challenge... I'm glad you enjoyed it mate. ;-) 👍🎸🙏
I loved this idea hahah! Although it was a little anxiety-inducing to watch you frantically grab one guitar while stepping over others! D: Still though, well done!
Alex, I appreciate how much you challenge yourself! Better bloke than me! Completely different subject: are you doing much studio work these days? It seems to me that many artists would benefit from your talents. If so, I would love to hear about it, i.e., support those who are supporting you. And one can never hear enough AH of course! ;-) Cheers mate and have a great weekend!
