@poulaygue ` Listen, not all Muslim countries are the same. Some are very stringent and some are very lax to be honest. I'm currently living in a Muslim country and have seen a lot of food items with haram ingredients. I'm not saying its deliberate, I just feel enough due diligence is not done. I also acknowledge that some countries are very good in how they manage this process.

There are few items that shows 'no pork no lard' or 'muslim owned' but did not have any halal certificate due to few circumstances such as serving alcohol or use of cooking wine etc. Do be careful my brothers and sisters, semoga kita semua senantiasa berada bawah lindungan Allah.. amin ya robbal alamin

Vinegar is halal, even if made from wine, since it has been transformed and no longer contains alcohol. But I know from the Galloping Gourmet that food made with wine may still contain a considerable amount of alcohol after cooking, despite what they tell you in restaurants
@michaelreid8857
@michaelreid8857 Год назад
Actually, alcohol burns off at a much lower temperature than water. That is proven science. Therefore if you were to make anything with alcohol added and heat it up. Within a few minutes of raising it to a hot temperature, it would be free of alcohol. However, do you realize that all bodies start to ferment after death? Do you realize the all fruit starts fermenting after picking, cutting, or juicing? People don’t realize that the ban on consumption of alcohol was not placed for avoiding a dangerous or harmful product. The ban was placed to keep people sober at prayer time. So it is in a very similar context as most Latin countries ban alcohol, at election time, or the day of Presidential speeches!
@hoopoe9629
@hoopoe9629 Год назад
@@michaelreid8857 see Dr. Weil’s discussion of this on his website: “Wine, spirits, and beer are used in cooking to enhance the flavor and aroma of dishes. Contrary to what most people believe, the entire alcohol content doesn’t always evaporate or boil away before the food is served. A study from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Nutrient Data Laboratory showed that it can take longer than two and a half hours for all the alcohol to be cooked out of food to which wine or some other alcoholic beverage has been added. The study showed that the amount of alcohol remaining depends in part on the cooking method. For example, after brandy has been “flamed” - poured on foods and then set alight - approximately 75 percent of the alcohol remains after the flames have died down. … “People need to avoid alcohol for various reasons, such as to guard against alcoholic relapse, to protect a fetus, or to avoid adverse reactions that might be brought on by certain medications. The best bet for such people would be to ask if a particular dish is cooked with wine or spirits before ordering in a restaurant. If you’re a dinner guest, you could let the host or hostess know in advance that you’re avoiding alcohol in food as well as drink.”

Pigs are not healthy scientifically, I don't know why people choose something unhealthy and still get sick and never learn from, Islam is modesty, simplicity, healthy, modernity, and scientific... It's weird that's this book "Qur'an " was revealed 1,400 years ago and talks about creations from human being to trees, to animals, to science , to politics to modesty, to respect, to parenthood, to caring parents and elderly , to knowledge, to marriage, to fairness, to equality, to freedom, to everything in between.. and people still doesn't know about.. we Muslims are actually selfish, Qur'an and sunnah should reach every door steps and to everyone

Thank you for sharing this! Thank God I’m a professional chef I went to culinary school for 2 years. I cook and bake anything I want haha but you’re right still have to look at the ingredient list! Sometimes I don’t feel like cooking of baking from scratch it’s a ton of work but at least I know what goes in it! And way better than anything store bought. This opened my eyes to more though. Thanks again for sharing 🙏🏼

Medina, in NYC there are also many kosher certified products Muslims can eat too. Most are kosher and a few vegetarian/vegan too.

I am a Muslim, and my family have always been ones that read the ingredients before buying anything. We also live in the UK, so we go to the closest Asian/Muslim stores to buy meat/products containing gelatine. We look up ingredients that are usually put into foods and then know and understand what's halal or not. You are able to get halal jelly (jell-o) and marshmellos is some stores. We just use gelatine from halal animals, such as beef. With the other foods in the video, we usually make sure that we know and look at the ingredients. If we are unaware if it's halal, we usually don't eat it. Me and my family make most foods at home, so we know exactly what it contains. Also, most Muslim countries only have halal food. Thank you for making this video as not everyone knows about these foods. Love from Wales (UK). 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 xxx

That's amazing but hey beef gelatin also is halal only if the cow is slaughtered according to the zabiha method

@@mapache69. I'd definitely say so. But I think anyone with specific dietary preferences should be able to eat wherever. Unfortunately, it's quite difficult in Western countries. But you can always be precautious. 😊 xxx

I was shocked about the red dye on one, but some product can be halal like jello it depends on ingredients along with where you live

About the soya sauce you can ask if theres alcohol in it because some are made without alcohol and in the store you can just look at the ingredients of your soya sauce.
