The directors of this film are really great.. They really tried to push through the limit and it became a really great drama.. I only wished the untamed was like this too... Maybe we should've seen so many sweets if they weren't too.... Oh, i don't know... Now i have two stans ZZH and GJ, and from the Untamed Yizhan / Wangxiao
There is also the time when WKX gives Ah Xiang to brother Cao, Ah Xu was drinking vinegar but couldn't tell so when WKX ask him what he's drinking he says that there's no good liquor in the abandon courtward
I remember this but I still have doubt... I know that he lost his senses but I didn't know that he also lost his hearing... Is it possible? How did he manage to eavesdrop when scorpion trying to kill WKX and there are so many times when A'xu can't see their lips to guess what they are speaking
@@emeslovatic7955 Since he put the nails in slowly, rather than fast, his senses would deteriorate at a slower pace as well. When people begin losing things like sight and hearing, it comes and goes, which is displayed through out the series. There are some really great moments where Ah Xu will tilt his head so that his ear is toward Wen, and his eyes will go distant as if he cannot see and is relying on his sense of hearing, instead. His eyes get this look that is very true to blind people who have no visible damage. It's eerie and haunting, and just beautifully played by the actor.
Just started on this....Wen Kexing has my heart Just on episode3 and omg he's persistent in the most handsomest way!!! I can't help but smile during their interactions 🤣
I dont think he lost his hearing tho,, i believe in ep 12 it was just him being confused why he was randomly being called. Because if he had actually started loose his hearing it would have been very difficult for him during fights. But there were clear implications of him loosing his semse of touch, somewhat vision( sometimes he saw blurry things and quickly it got better) and taste which has been mentioned ofc
Love to know that this drama connected people from all over the world! 😊😊 The second video is already out! Feel free to check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c03LfkcUde4.html
Thank you for mentioning the 爱你 part. I haven't seen anyone talking about it so I thought I was just way too into this drama that I saw something that wasn't actually there 😅. Or maybe it's because international fans just haven't finished the drama yet... Anyways, thanks for the video!
LHSG is Liu He Shen Gong 六合神功. The first two words, "Liu He", means the six directions or the universe. "Shen Gong" can be interpreted as divine power. A possible translation of Liu He Shen Gong could be "The Divine Power of the Universe"? 😊
I think there was also a scene when ,zzx was drinking and the amethyst fiend joined him and she asks him how he could drink something like that considering how bad it tasted but because of the seven nails , i thought he'd already lost his sense of taste , idk though , maybe he liked drinking butter wine 🗿, never tasted wine myself so idk 🤷♀️
That's a bonus episode that Youku filmed. It's only about 7 minutes, and the first four minutes are just flashbacks 😂 with only 3 minutes of actual stuff
The Chinese letter 囍 means the celebration of a normal marriage or two living people get married with each other. However, a single 喜 could mean a ghost marriage for two dead people or at least one of them was dead before they get married.
What I love from this series is that the character show a joyful love from the beginning. the viewers know that they are set to be boyfriends and they express this in the many creatively ways is possible under the Chinese censorship. They laughed their head off at each other, they embrace, holds hands, caress each other hair, and take their top off without much protocol. What a rewarding viewing experience for the public in the context of Chinese dramas. I understand why the series has became more popular than the Untamed. WWX and LWJ would be forever my iconic couple, played magically by the exquisite beauties that are ZX and WY but leave us with an unhealthy Yizhan longing, and the fact that they separated in the end, different from the novel is a anticlimax. In WOH they held each other until the end and became one loving energy, I loved it so beautiful to see. All the other characters are also so interesting particularly the female ones. Bring more women to BL dramas please! I was bored with all those boys running around in the Untamed. Honestly, if it is not that WWX and LWJ was such a power couple it would have been so uninteresting. We need strong multilayer females roles even in BL dramas!!
@@T.K.T Yes, actually WWX is going to travel the world for a while but he returns, personally I thought it was a good ending because it was understandable that a person as free as WWX would not want to stay in Cloud recesses, at least not immediately.

I've also noticed the theme of the sun. WKX came out from the depths of hell (the ghost valley was even dark in most scenes, or lit by fire if I recall, not a very sunny place) and the first time he sees ZZS (as an adult that is) he takes interest in the man sun-bathing below. A xiang thought he was just a bagger laying there pathetically, but WKX could immediately tell he was "enjoying the sun". In the infamous scene in ep 12 they are out enjoying the sun and drinking together (after ZZS suggested it), and you see WKX looking happier than ever and appreciating life. He had ZZS (someone he can call, as he said) and Cheng ling that he cared about (they just shared a touching moment), and you can see him begin to change and evolve at this point. "I just feel it's good, to be alive, to have the sun shining, and to have someone for me to call", he was beginning to experience the joys of life, being out of the ghost valley, alive, drinking and eating with others he cares about, being in love, feeling more free. And having a reason other than hatred and vengeance to live. It also ties again to the theme of becoming good. He is happy ZZS sees him as a "good person" and that he is able, on some level, to be that. Then later again when he saves ZZS and bows, as he touches his head you can see the sun. At this point WKX is already completely changed, even though he is dressed in red clothes and eyeshadow, using the role of ghost valley chief one last time. But him dressed like this while ZZS is dressed like a humble saint and "blessing him" by touching his head is very symbolic here as well And of course, in ep 35 he has that line about the light on ZZS's body (again looking at him from below where the sun is visible) and that he wants to "catch and see" it (GJ said it was his favorite WKX line and I'm not surprised, since he really seems to understand the character). They cut out the part where he caught his hand there as it was falling. (dressed in ghost valley red and bleeding, in the depths of hell again after just having climbed out. Having just lost A xiang and people dear to him and wounded, once again having to turn to vengeance for her. And he fails to reach out and "touch the light" that is ZZS and what he symbolizes, but he catches his hand as it falls). And finally when they are up on the mountain he comes out with a new expression, white hair and an outfit like the one first worn by ZZS (similar in color that is), the sun shining very brightly behind him, and later again they join hands where the sun is shining brightly. I think that the sun is symbolic of life and love and everything ZZS symbolized to him. But also of becoming good and human and being free from hatred and misery. He used to be a "ghost" and both him and A xiang yearned to be human, to be alive, feel the sun. He kept saying "No matter how fierce a ghost is, as long as he finds the way to man's world, it will choose to become human again", he was afraid of the side of him that was the ghost valley chief and that he wouldn't be able to climb out and become human. He then went and "killed" that chief and came out as a virtuous hero in white, declaring they just share the same name. And he said this was his happiest day. He finally became human and also had everything he ever wanted (because of course he didn't know ZZS was dying again). There are times when they used white to also symbolize becoming good and becoming human. Him returning from the death of the ghost valley chief as a new person, free from vengeance and hate, no longer caring about Zhao Jing's fate after finally confronting him (not for the sake of revenge anyway). Ye bai yi gradually becoming mortal meant becoming human in more than one way. and as he gained more white stripes on his hair he also turned more compassionate towards WKX and chose to become his ally. And them WKX came out with a hair full of white hair after making the ultimate sacrifice for ZZX, risking his life for him, for the person he loved while confessing that live to him. The ultimate form of good and human. (in the uncensured version of adult Cheng ling's tale to his students, he talks about mastering the technique through absolute and mutual love). Also, the first scenes where WKX and ZZS meet, he introduces himself as "philanthropist Wen". The white he wears then I think also symbolizes him pretending to be good and human. Which is what he actually wished to become all along (he didn't choose that identity for nothing) Most interestingly, the scene where he is seen being at his most terrifying (after skinning the former ghost chief) he is wearing white stained in blood, which to me seems to symbolize the duality of WKX. To the onlooking ghosts he is crazy and terrifying, but he is a tortured child inside, trying to survive. (I forgot if the person he skinned was the chief who abused him from childhood at the valley or someone else). There's also a scene with him hanging the white ghost and other parts where white was used, but you get the point. Sorry about the long essay and if I made any mistakes 🙏 This is all just my interpretation of course. There's so much more I could literally go on forever though, so I'd better stop.
Haha I love reading your reply. Great explaination! I bet you can make your own video describing the symbolism of the sun and other stuff in WOH. ☺️☺️☺️
Bring them on, I admire scriptwriter, directors in this drama as much as my two leads. They did amazing job and every corners hiding details that mean something to the drama. I can’t get enough of this detail and appreciate you to shed the light to foreigner like me. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Yes, yes ... the whole team of this show is really awesome. It still really gets me, everytime i remember that this show was low budget that they couldn't even do promotion before airing, but the show they made was just ... WOW !!

There was a old lady that did almost every episode explaining things most foreigners wouldn't get. Like red threads. Some kind of fruit, or candy that symbolized love. Also giving a hair pin, then in later times, a comb also ment the same. Wish I had saved her videos

Hey, i got one theory about Chengling's daughter that it is just me or everyone else🙂according to a theory Nian Xiang is actually Wen Kexing's and Zhou Zishu's daughter(in other word ekhmm..mpreg). Let's see clues:- 1. In ep 36 when they first timer practicing 6 harmony there's a characters floating around them, some of them means "long life" and "giving birth" 2. Chengling doesn't have wife(Gao Xiao Lian is Deng Kuan's wife) 3. If Nian Xiang is adopted Chengling could take her as disciple like Cao Weining in his sect, why it has to be his daughter?(at that time Chengling is young too, he can't even take care of himself well😁) 4. They couldn't raise a baby on a harsh cold mountain so they hand over Nian Xiang to Chengling who lived in a more humane place(they also don't want Nian Xiang end up like Rongxuan, repeating Changqing and Baiyi's mistake). I know this from somewhere, not only just my opinion.
I don't think Zishu ever really lose his hearing. Or at least, if they started deteriorating, it is still very light and practically doesn't affect him yet. My reasons for thinking this are because Zishu isn't always looking at people's mouth during conversations after the supposed "hearing loss" in ep 12. Also, they attended the Heroes Conference in ep 15-16, where Zishu and Kexing watched the chaos unfold from quite a distance away and still hear everything clearly--something impossible to do if previously Zishu needed to rely on lip-reading to figure out what Kexing is saying from that close. Hearing is also very important in battle, especially when fighting against multiple opponents--which, again, Zishu seems to experience a lot. If his hearing is already impaired, he wouldn't be able to dodge most hits that come from behind. As far as I recall, the only time Zishu ever received injury from the opponent in a fight is against Ye Baiyi (I don't count the drug men because he was severely outnumbered then and would've gotten bitten eventually regardless), and the rest of his "losses" are thanks to his nails acting up, not because the opponent managed to land a hit.
I mean, the "losing senses" thing was supposed to have been slowed down and happen over the last 3 years if his life due to the way he did the 7 nails torture. As far as I can tell, smell and taste seems to have gone, but he still had hearing, touch, and sight left. Although his hearing could have gone been gone when he and WKX were undergoing that last scene and that's why we don't "hear" WKX "ai ni".
I'm legally blind now in 1 eye. But sometimes it's not as cloudy. And others if I hold something close to my face. I can actually read out of it. Yet over time that eye will turn white and all it will see is darkness. It kind of comes and goes during this stage. I'm sure that's why it's like that in the movie.
After seeing that #5, i watched ep 36 in that part and guess what, Ah Xu also said "ai ni" after seeing the unconscious WKX.. so much love.. and the censorship was not able to catch and cut it out. 2 souls saying ai ni to each other while the other person unable to hear it. Beautiful.
I actually feel blessed that all of you are finding sugar coated details for our bl hearts. Such a great interpretation, I wish my study notes would have half of the details like your notes on WOH. Great job!! Keep it up!! 😊❤️
the amount of attention to the details the show's staff has put in this drama is like amazing. the whole thing makes so much sense and wkx's and zzs's chemistry is undeniably perfect
#7 AhXu switched his mask with Wen Kexing, because the darker mask could cover and hide his face from his fellow x team, which he wanted to stay away and hide from.
This show is proof that you don't need sexscenes to be oozing sex, because this show, it manages it very well, much thanks to the chemistry between the actors but also because of all these hidden things that are easy to miss if you don't know things about chinese culture. I have learned a lot of things thanks to your videos. I like their "wedding" scene very much and the whole saying eachothers name three times...Oh I could go on and on about this show. Love it🥰 Friendly greetings from a WoH fan from Sweden😁
xie xie ni hao pengyou..yes dear, all the hidden details really spiced up the drama..the script writer, both directors really done a great job while trying to avoid censorship but always leaving behind some clues for the viewers to get the interpretation left behind..will wait for your next upload..keep up the good spirits..I got the "Ai Ni" spoken by WKX, coz it was quite clear..while there were floating news in the internet saying that Ah-Xu after WKX fell unconcious while looking with teary eyes he said the same " Ai Ni' coz its so vague seems like he was only taking a breath..just wonder.. Now i knew the meaning why WKX lights 2 lamps in the Wuku, i was wondering why while not knowing there was this sentences refers to " a person dies when the lights goes out"..amazing ..coz every scenes in this drama was meant for something..oh that miror things was a surprised for me,..so many details left out ..great...thanks dear
The Sheng Zi part has me laughing because Cheng Ling’s daughter isn’t actually his child and so we had suspected that the daughter who’s name was also in memory of A Xiang was actually the creation of ZZS and WKX. Guess we all was right😅😅
It's not his daughter? Is she adopted in the novel? Did she just accidentally wonder in there like A xiang and he adopted her like WKX? Like it's a reference to her, the newer generation getting a better opportunity at happiness thanks to them? Or something like that..
I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a joke or not, but if you are serious: I highly doubt that. Both characters could simply be referring to new life (for the ones doing the technique), since the technique grants you immortality.
3:50 and also the scene where WKX grabbed ZZS's "Wine" then spat it out and said something like it tastes like vinegar or something like that, but ZZS didn't mind drinking it, of course, he could no longer taste 3:58 i also like to think that he hasn't lost his hearing sense here yet, just like WKX said that it's nice having someone to call, so. WKX kept calling his name
Thank you for this video. I love finding the hidden details or details that are often overlooked. it just makes the story/show more interesting and gives it more depth. Keep you the great work. The hidden details number 7 with the heart I want to say it was on puprose becuase the little details give the show more charisma, plus it also give those BL fans something extra to fawn over.
Are you sure about that early hear loss thing? I mean later episodes he has no problems hearing things from even further away. The subtle hear loss detail i have seen is suggesting a dulled hearing, to very quiet sounds, like when WKX can sneak up on him and spook him on tge pier by the water, while much earlier when spying on the roof, he notices WKX sneaking, much further away, tho he is surprised how he didnt notice him even earlier. And he has to have some sense of smell remaining even later than the fish. When his smell stops working the drunk like a dream or other incense smell stops working on him, and thats why he grinds the herb to take, saying he cant sleep lately, when WKX puts it in his hair. This is even said later by him, at the prince, that scents dont work on him anymore.
i was actually looking for clues as to when his five senses begin to deteriorate.. i only noticed.. smell with the fish.. and taste when WKX drank the wine ZZS is drinking when they were at a stopover on their way four seasons manor...
@@bluemoonrising88 Yes I think so. I just notice blur screen when they fight as a sight of him starting to lose eyesight.(I didn't mean that he lost it completely). It would be hard for him to hide it if he was completely blind and didn't hear anything. He was losing his 5 senses and he completely lost his sense of smell he said it himself as for rest they were getting worse.😖 poor AhXu😢 Freedom is never free. That good WKX was there for him. I'm happy there are still people who watch WOH☺
