Here are 10 places you may not have heard of AKA “Hidden Gems” in the fascinating country of Iceland! We were fortunate enough to spend 3 months in Iceland after being selected to represent siggi’s Icelandic Yogurt as their “Chief Simplicity Offi-skyr” and it was an adventure of a lifetime.
I did my best to select places that are both not nearly as traveled as Skogafoss for example, and also unique and interesting enough to add them to your Bucket List.
Although this island country fits comfortably inside the state of Colorado, there’s a lot to see and planning is challenging. If you do the ring road counterclockwise and have at least 10 days, definitely consider these places! Consider extending the trip for as long as possible to allow for bad weather and things not to go as planned.
