Welcome to MojoPlays and today we’re casting Revelio to uncover 10 hidden secrets in Hogwarts Legacy. For this video, we’ll be looking at off the beaten path secrets and lore the developers hid within Hogwarts Castle that many casual players may have overlooked and some that even tie more directly into Harry Potter’s time at the school. 1:59 Adding onto this, in Richard Jackdaw’s quest you’ll find the lake where Harry saves himself and Sirius from the Dementors & your character will remark on the stags around it, a reference to the form that Harry’s Patronus took in that scene: a stag.

In the dungeons you can find a hidden room full of tapestries, you can cast Lumos on them and they tell a story

One other secret is of a specific scene from both the book & film of Prisoner of Azkaban. At the bottom of the staircase leading to the Gryffindor common room, you’ll find the Map of Argyllshire. In the books, this is where the Fat Lady hides after being attacked by Sirius Black. In the secret room behind it you’ll find a painting of a grassy plain with hippos, which is where she hides from him in the film.

You could mention that "Deathday Party" is a reference to the second book chamber of secrets. They cut that part from the movie but in the book, nearly headless nick helps harry to escape from filch's room and in return this favor, harry attends Nick's deathday party. And also the headless hunt part that we help nick in the game, is a reference which connects the same deathday party story in the book. In the book, Nick invites Harry to his deathday party because he wants to join headless hunt and he asks harry to praise him to Sir Patrick Delaney-Podmore. In the game, Nick asks a similar request to us and we give a present to Sir Patrick Delaney-Podmore.

My favorite little 'secret' is the face hugger chomping cabbage scene that can be seen in a few of the little hamlets. I've been wandering around the little settlements waiting to hear a resident say, "I was going to be and auror, then I took an accio to the knee."

I'm yet to find a tribute to Alan Rickman (aka Snape), Although I did find a portrait of a gentleman dressed and groomed in a similar manner to his character in Die Hard... thats the closest I've found, I'm clutching at straws, but that genuinely lovely human being needs a tribute!

I saw the painting in the grand staircase as being Gandalf, not Richard Chamberlain's Dumbledore, because it is an almost exact replica of the postcard Tolkien kept with the note: origin of Gandalf. The postcard was a painting by Josef Madlinger (sp?) of Die Bergeist (mountain spirit).

The thing about the Chamber of Secrets entrance in Hogwarts Legacy is that it very clearly _isn't_ on the second floor... It's in a dungeon . Given the attention to detail in other places, I'm surprised that one slipped through. Unless it moved later on because magic 🤷‍♂️😂

Some people think the red head boys looking in the Zonkos window are a reference to the Weasley Twins. This does make sense. I've never seen it though. I did see a redhead boy with a brown haired girl looking in though.

What's confusing is some players are saying that it's one of the legs of the sea monster in the water clipping through the wall, even though that sea monster is red and the Basilisk is grey. I do truly think that it's totally the Basilisk because, that would be an awesome Easter egg for Slytherin.

Just remember you have to be a Wizard, well select that as your Slytherin Dorm. Doesn't seem to appear if you can actually go to the Girl's Dorm.

@@emitheninja1995 that's what I'm talking about. The kitchen is a part of the quest for Gryffindors, that's why they can access it only after they are shown how to do that. For the others, it's not as much important, that's why they have no prerequisites to come inside freely.

I knew that portrait was the kitchen door from the moment Prof. Weasley walked me past it on my first day. (I'm a Hufflepuff.) But it wouldn't let me tickle it, until much later, like several main quests later.

The "Follow the Butterflies" isn't a reference to Ron. There is an actual real reference to him in the Forbidden Forest at a spider den though. There is a note in the den that says "Follow the Spiders, Follow the Spiders, Follow the Spiders written over and over again.

I was watching this and when Quiditch was mentioned I rolled my eyes. I've done that every time I hear someone say they want it in game. Thinking I wouldn't even play it. Zero interest for me. I then just remembered Blitz Ball in Final Fantasy X. I hated it and didn't even play it on game except when forced by the story. One day after deciding to play through the game and 100 percent it I actually learned how to play the game in the game. I ended up loving it and fondly now remember it as one of the most fun parts of the game. So bring on quiditch lol

That's a good question. I know Harry's mother was a muggle, but idk about James Potter. Not really sure if his past before Hogwarts is mentioned on the books

@@ClanDosCanalhas It's mentioned. Before the birth of Harry, the Potters were a pure-blood family. Harry's lineage from his father, James Potter, can even be traced all the way to Ignotus Peverell. Ignotus is one of the 3 brothers from the original legend of the deathly hallows. It's really weird that there's no Potter or Peverell (whichever fits the timeline) on the game.

@@ClanDosCanalhas James is a Wizard from a Wizard Family. The most likely possibility for a Potter is Henry Potter, Harry's Great Grandfather. Looking up information he was part of Wizard Law Enforcement in 1913 and is said to have been born before 1892. With Fleamont being born around 1909, very possible Henry is at Hogwarts. Mostly saying this if Henry had his son during his late 20s early 30s.

Fun fact: there were only ever 3 gorgons (Medusa’s species) in mythology. They were a trio of sisters that managed to anger Poseidon I think it was by having sex in one of his temples

That's an awfully simplified way of telling that story. Lmao. 😆 Medusa was raped by Poseidon. On Athena's alter. She was her high priestess. And Athena punished her and turned her into a monster and didn't care that her uncle violated her most trusted priestess In her temple. It's a very tragic story and Medusa was always innocent.

Another secret of Hogwarts Legacy was revealed on another channel. If you kill another student in Hogwarts castle with the forbidden "Avada Kedavra" curse, Aurors to take you prisoner and you end up locked in a cell at Azkaban.

That's just hogwallop. You can't use curses on students, and the only way to access Azkaban in-game is via the Hufflepuff questline.

HOGWARTS GAME NOT WORTH $70! Don't get me wrong, I am totally hooked on this game and it looks mind blowing. But the frame rate stuttering is ABSOLUTELY pissing me off. I play on a SX by the way. When game devs release a broken game, it should be illegal to charge anything above $20. There is no excuse to demand $70 for a broken product. It would be like asking full retail price for a used car. Or selling a broken table at a furniture store without a discount. I am totally fed up with lazy game devs releasing unfinished games with bugs, frame rate stuttering etc...and having the balls to still demand a whopping $70 for them! Then after paying big money, we game players have to suffer for months on end enduring one patch after another hoping that someday, one of them might finally make it playable. Someone needs to take these game devs to court and stop this fraud. Selling broken products!
