Mzansi means South. All Nguni languages like Zulu, Xhosa, Swati and Ndebele use the term and it means South. It's short for Mzansi Africa, meaning South Africa. The Sotho languages like Setswana, Sesotho and Sepedi also have their own term for south called "Borwa", as in "Africa Borwa"... meaning South Africa.
