Same but it's WWE's fault for agreeing to a partnership deal. Sure it's nice to have a drink sponsor but I do blame MTN Dew for wanting it to be a sponsorship match
Now that saudi Arabia has got in bed with boxing surely they learned from wwe mistakes. Nope they had a eminem concert before the main event of a boxing ppv
I just don't think an MMA style match works in WWE. The match the video mentions, and Seth/Riddle both start out like a fight but it quickly turns into obvious spots.
Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin W35 Triple H vs Vladimir Koslov Survivor Series 08 Charlotte Flair vs Nia Jax Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens WM33 Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt TLC 2014
@@elgringolocoMaldonado It was supposed tpo be for the World title before Y2J said no to a contract renewal and he left after WM33. This is the reason we got Jinder as WWE champion.
The eye for an eye match still makes my head hurt so we can’t have blood but we can have a match where the only way to win was to extract your opponents eye and the sad part is that the in ring action is pretty good it’s just overshadowed by the dumb stipulation if it was a first blood match or an I quit match maybe it wouldn’t be so bad
It is so ironic rey mysterio has the rare distinction of being in two of the greatest matches either the worst stories ever. The eye for an eye match itself was 90 mph of pure action. Then the ending. Rey also had the Eddie feud over Dominick. Phenomenal matches, dumb angle.
There were so many tbh, you could do a top 20 list. Matches like Savio Vega Vs Mabel, The Royal Family Vs Clowns R Us, Jerry Lawler Vs Micheal Cole at Mania 27 could have made that list, and so many others. And of course, most of them were under Vince McMahon, cuz it’s Vince ffs
Blame should go to WWE for thinking they could turn Ronda Rousey into a great wrestler. And for the wrestling marks who actually thought that she was good. But hopefully now they see that she never cared or had respect for the business or for the fans.
Something they didn't mention about the Donald Trump vs. Rosie O'Donnell match: It was so bad that the WWE live crowd started the TNA chat. I'm guessing they censored that, and the one guy that had the video must've gotten it taken down. But believe me, it happened, and it was hilarious.
If you’re going to do an MMA bout of any kind, you need to go full MMA rules. That means in a cage, no shoes, mouth guards and wins by knockout, submission or TKO. Just look at Kurt Angle Vs. Samoa Joe in Impact back in the day, or Ken Shamrock’s Lions Den match with Owen Hart, for proof of how MMA and Pro-Wrestling can work together. …and that’s why Rhonda V Shayna didn’t get over: because it didn’t go all in. Just saying.
You forgot to mention the fans chanted TNA during that Trump-O'Donnell match. Also, if you were going to feature that, where's the Hillary Clinton vs Barack Obama match they did in 08?
Before I finish this video, RIP to Bray on the one year of his passing. It's hard to look at some of his matches knowing what could have been so for favorite matches, I'm going with both SummerSlam bouts with Balor & the Firefly Funhouse match with Cena at Mania 36
The sad thing about DX vs BoD is… Shawn apologised for his performance… but was the best damn worker in the match even after not competing for years And it coulda been good… had everything not actually happened that happened… The torn pec… the mask falling off… It coulda worked… but sadly…
My favorite Bray Wyatt match is from the Victoria, bc, canada, House show against Roman Reigns where the fan threw his money in the Bank briefcase in the ring and it hit Roman. It's obviously my favorite match because I got to see Bray Wyatt live.
Bray vs Finn Balor at SummerSlam 2019. Nothing could ever have topped the very first appearance of the Fiend. No one knew what to expect, and our minds were still blown. Don't discount Finn's part in it, either -- his reactions to the Fiend's (never before witnessed) entrance were what *all of us* were doing, so it fit in the moment for the character of the opposing wrestler perfectly (as did Finn's "angelic" white tights on the night). In the days and weeks that followed, we may have gotten a little carried away prognosticating what heights a brilliantly creative character like this could achieve, especially in a company still at the time led by Vince McMahon. But that moment, oh, that moment, when the Fiend first entered our lives. It's an indelible moment in WWE history and always will be.
And the fact the "head" lantern (representing the "old Bray Wyatt", which he had denounced), genuinely creeped out the crowd, as it was just the exact same kind of thing Bray's prop/mask maker built for horror movies and TV shows, slipping past the worst of Vince's PG guideline tampering...
Has anyone ever pointed out the Roman numerals in fluorescent paint on the Fiend's head in that match? Wyatt 'VI' precursor, maybe? How deep does his storytelling go??
Saudi shows suck. Hey Saudi Arabia. Wwe knows most fans won't watch the shows from your country and wwe won't put forth a great effort. They are just doing a show to fulfill the contract.
I heard that the original plan after Summerslam 94 was for both Undertakers to stick around and form a tag team however WWF decided against it given how badly the Undertaker v Undertaker storyline was received.
My favorite Bray match is a tie between his debut as the fiend when he squashed Finn. And the Firefly Funhouse match in the no fans Era. Mainly because it was well produced and watching Bray in different roles made me laugh. We truly lost a hero.
My favorite Wyatt match is when he would sit outside and laugh while Harper and Rowan fought. That was when he was his best cause he wasn't much in the ring. I can't remember any move other than repeated shoulder blocks and hanging upside down in the corner. Love him, but he was best as the leader, not the event.
HBK and Bulldog's performances in the 1995 Rumble would have been much more impressive if the match went the proper length. It would have been dull to sit through the who's who of bodies filling the ring, but we would have had more time to take in HBK and Bulldog's sublime work.
I hate it whenever I play one of the videos on this channel and realize it's not narrated by Simon... I'm sorry but everyone else on your channel have annoying voices and I just can't endure watching.🙁
If Ronda match at summer Slam was a real shoot it could have work. Both knew MMA and I as a mma would love to see them do it. However NOOOOO stick to a strip 😒
Fun Fact: that was Ace Steel who played Trump on Raw. Yes, THAT Ace Steel. I'm surprised he didn't snap from being in such an embarrassing segment and started biting people.
#06 sticks in my craw somethin' fierce. Who thought that slog deserved to go over Bret Vs. Owen? And poor Taker...He was so loyal, and yet he had to put up with so much drek...
It's not bad having a sponsorship match but damn do they gotta stop agreeing to sponsorship matches which no one cares about or wants to see. Also my favourite Bray Wyatt match is Daniel Bryan vs The Fiend Royal Rumble 2020 in a strap match
I had a friend who saw a house show in 94 that ran Undertaker vs Undertaker in the ME and they were very excited. Yes, it sucked, but folks were interested before the bell rang
i dont blame dx vs bros of destruction on the saudis. i put it all on vince. for over a decade at that moment he was overly relying on attitude era stars. it was eventually going to catch up with him and it did here.
The fact you guys post this 6 hours after a “Best UK Wrestling Matches” and a tagline of “All In Hype” just shows how biased you all are. If you want to be AEW fan boys fine but don’t claim to be a news source. 😂
I actually liked the pitch black match, it was at the very least aesthetically pleasing with all the black light stuff, plus it was Bray's last match. It's not a bad "hardcore" match either. Plus it's probably one of the better sponsored gimmick matches in WWE, I just don't really get why people hate on it so much, apart from the lighting and the sponsorship, i think if anything peopel are just salty Bray's only match back was a weird gimmick match...
That DX vs. Brothers of Destruction match is still one of the most painful wrestling matches to watch period. I lost a lot of respect for Shawn in particular for coming out of retirement and nearly killing himself in such a god awful match all for the money.
Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez at Crown Jewel 2019 should have been on this list in my opinion. I remember when this match was announced I expected going in at the very least a decent 10-15 minute match not a underwhelming 2 minute squash match (before anyone says anything, I am fully aware that the reason this match was so short was because Cain had hurt his knee in the weeks leading up to the ppv). I also would have put Kofi Kingston vs Brock Lesnar on here to.
At least as far as #3, both men got their grooves back. Taker and Roman tagged in an absolute belter against Shane-O-Mac and Drew McIntyre (? I guess it must have made *some* sense in context, but yeah, looking up the opponents for the match made me tilt my head like a pug) a month later, while at SummerSlam a month following on from that, Goldberg massacred Dolph Ziggler (who bumped like the treasure he is) to play to his strengths as well.
Three words: Brawl for All. Putting Sports Entertainers in a real sporting event where they can't control the outcome and caused serious injuries is such a terrible idea.
My favorite Bray Wyatt match was when he won the Elimination Chamber match in 2017 to win the WWE championship. He eliminated John Cena and AJ Styles back to back to win the title
6:35 So this is just IMO but I think it wasnt that Rousey fell out of love with wrestling but more that she didnt like the WWE fans who IMO harshly turned on her.
