There is just something about driving at night that is so relaxing and calm and really just makes you feel nice inside

Over here in the Netherlands there is still a curfew in effect because of Covid. Basically we are not allowed to be outside between 10pm till 4.30am. Luckily people can aquire documents that basically allow you to go outside after curfew (for work mostly). I work a lot of evening shifts and night shifts, so I aquired these documents through my employer. Every time I get off work I like to take a bit of a longer drive to get home, because you basically have to go straight to home after you finish work because of the curfew. I like these drives. I don't really like crowded roads, so I guess I was lucky because the curfew kind of gave me what I wanted-- empty roads. So every time I come back from a shift, I like to bend the rules and take long drives over country areas and avoid the cities. Really puts your mind at ease. Love these kinds of videos where you get to see different parts of the world and their roads!

This reminds me of the magic of driving at night during long summer day on my way to vacation.

I live on an island, so whenever we travel outside of it, we take a boat with our car and then drive for hours and hours, days sometimes. I find it very relaxing at night I don’t have a clue why.. it’s just so relaxing 😌

I like to imagine I'm in the passenger seat falling asleep while the person who I trust the most/look up to the most is driving us safely home. It's such a small pleasure but I feel so indescribably protected and loved when I imagine this.

I wish death could be an eternal night driving on a neverending highway.

i’m trying to figure out a way to communicate this sort of feeling/atmosphere in music that reads as a car/road-trip but doesn’t just explicitly sound like a car and it’s killing me-

Hands down the best white noise to help my 3 week old fall asleep. She is my second so I can’t always just put her in the car to fall asleep as my eldest is already in bed. Plus it’s safer as I’ve got little or no sleep and I worry I would also fall asleep at the wheel!

I find riding in a car very comforting it gives me nostalgia. it reminds me of I was little my dad would drive and I would look out the window and look at the streetlights and just be calm riding in the car with him

ARE WE THERE YET

When I was a baby my mom used to have to put me in the car and drive around in order for me to fall asleep. I’m 21 now and driving long distances can be challenging for me because the vibration of the car and the low hum of the engine will cause me to doze off.
