I know they're adorable and beautiful, but if you're a shark or a seal or any other animal underwater, this has to be one of the most terrifying sounds you could hear.
Exactly my thoughts. It's kinda creepy to enjoy something so cute and know it's one deadly predator. I watch this and I constantly find myself being horrified that I lowered my guard around those because they are so cute. Knowing this is just a video doesn't help. On _top_ of that, it _is_ still fucking relaxing!1!
well, us humans don’t have to worry because these babies are incredibly smart and will never hurt us :) which is why i find a lot of comfort in these animals. it’s just nature being nature to me.
@@CoolNinja925 we do but nobody cares because they don't see them as cute like orcas. Sharks do very poorly in captivity. And whale sharks don't last more than a few months.
orcas are my favourite animals next time learn more about them before you write a shit about them they are like us. till 80ys old, have feelings, so much other things fr the best animals on the planet
This has been a huge help... My twin sister was killed in a car crash 3 days ago and sleeping became difficult. The sound of these awesome creatures has been very soothing and she loved it too.
Such intelligent and beautiful animals. They should not be kept in asylums like Seaworld. They should not be cramped in such small tanks. They should not be imprisoned by our own entertainment. They should be out there, swimming hundreds of miles and enjoying the great blue. Orcas are dolphins. And like dolphins they have a highly keen source of intellect. They are creatures that thrive on family cooperation. They are highly emotional beings. They sings and chant melodies with one another. To their family, they are inseparable. Seaworld's orcas don't sing like the ones here. Orcas are forced to perform. Orcas are ripped away from their mothers at a young age. You don't hear their songs at Seaworld. Instead, those are cries for mercy. They are pleading to be set free from this torment. But by nature, we are deaf. Seaworld doesn't care about the well-being of these creatures. Despite the proclaimed and so-called "world-class quality heath care" they have, it's not enough for them. If Seaworld is deaf, only you can make them listen. Orcas are not meant for cages. They are meant for the ocean. Think about it. How would you react if your child was suddenly ripped apart from you? In your heart, you know that you have done no harm. You have done absolutely nothing wrong. But why? How could such an unreasonable and unmerciful punishment be acted upon you? We say that human dignity is a true act of kindness, whereas regardless of religion, race or gender, everyone has the right and freedom to live normally. But what about orcas? What about animals? How can we maintain equality for these innocent, magnificent creatures? What must we do to destroy their cages and free them from this insanity? What can we do to free them of this malicious, cruel and disgraceful world? Set them free.
wengramos truer words have never been said by anyone else until now. Thank you. I love orcas. Not only are they experiencing pressure in captivity, but also in the wild. The orcas conservation status is listed as data deficient because there isn’t an exact inkling of what the wild population truly is. But there is one population that needs to be saved from extinction and fast. The southern resident orcas. The southern resident orcas are found only in the Salish sea in Canada. Only 74 remain in the wild. They prey almost exclusively on chinook salmon. The chinook salmon is also in a steep decline in population terms. In the 1960's and 1970's, southern resident orcas were being captured from the wild to be taken to marine parks like Seaworld. Lolita was a southern resident orca. Then laws were passed to stop capturing orcas in North America. “Orca rustlers” shifted the captures to Northern Europe waters like Iceland. Then, the Exxon Valdez oil spill happened, which declined the southern resident orca population even more! Sound pollution made by boats is one threat. To give you a demonstration, orcas, specifically ones that hunt fish, use echolocation to find prey in the briny sea. But boats disturb the echolocation and the southern resident orcas are disoriented and can’t find food. Pollution and pcb's are a long term threat. There are only 3 pods of southern resident orcas left. J pod (with notable members including j35 tahlequah, j50 scarlet, and j2 granny), K pod, and L pod (L-103 Lapis, l98 Luna, and l92). Luna was the southern resident orca that played with boats. Luna was a young male. At the age of 6 in Nootka sound, he got hit by a boat's propellers and was killed. J35, an adult Female, is known for showing the emotional complexity no other being has, not even humans. On July 24th, 2018, j35 gave birth to a calf but it died half an hour of being born. She carried her dead baby for 20 days, for 1,000 miles nonstop, not eating nor letting the calf's dead body go. After 20 days, she dropped her dead calves corpse. J50, a young female, was an emaciated orca that was about to die. Then scientists gave her antibiotics and fed her chinook salmon and studied her fecal samples. She seemed to make a full recovery, but then died 3 days later. Unless we get rid of the pcb's, breed chinook salmon and destroy the lower snake river dams, this amazing population will go extinct. Edit: I forgot to mention that pcb's are such a serious threat to orcas, they have the potential to wipe out HALF of the world’s orcas!
A lot of people are talking about how this sound must send fear through sea creatures and that's true to some extent. Each pod has their own songs that they sing, as well as open ocean orcas. Some pods only feast on one type of food, like the residents around Vancouver Island will eat Salmon. The dolphins on the north half of the island will even slap Orcas with their tail and run away as a fun game. It's when the non-resident orcas come in, and their higher pitched songs sound that dolphins and seals will vacate the strait.
I’m getting an orca tattooed on my leg with bubbles and flowers and script that says “in all the worlds depths, and all the worlds beauties, you reign supreme.” And I’m so excited
100% - I have a theory that our only hope to discover the mysteries of our oceans is to create a translation system or something idk - we need to speak with these majestic beings
@@jakecathey7061 AI is missing the human element that I believe Orcas are attracted, intrigued, or fascinated. I doubt they would respond to a robot the same way they can with a human - maybe learning their language through AI if that is what you meant....
This is soothing🧘🏻♀️. I don't understand why people say it's scary to here this ( I mean for underwater creature's I'm sure 😂) but... They sound adorable to me!!
They are!! Did you know orcas don't hunt humans? There have been no recorded attacks in the wild!! Only a few instances in captivity :( They're water puppies in my opinion :D
This is so cozy to listen to when I play video games without sound (😊😇🎮 💭🌅), it gives me the energy I need in order to get finished with my chores at home quickly (😊😇⭐️✨), and it even gives me the energy I need when I work out at home (😊😇💪🏼🏋🏼♂️). The one who uploaded this, is a hero. 😊😇
I honestly wish humans hadn’t progressed with technology and we still lived in tribes, connected to nature and not killing animals in the masses, just living on this earth with them in the wild how it was meant to be. Sure humans might still kill animals for food and fur but thats the circle of life, other animals do it. And humans are animals we don’t get to be special, we’re animals too.
Easy for you to say, we attained this state because humans back then are prey animals we need to outsmart the more stronger beasts back then, and in order to do that we developed a very powerful brain power and claimed the title of Apex predator
I agreed with you until you said, “Humans are animals.” We’re not animals but conscious creations of infinite value guided by a moral code with complex reasoning abilities but with a responsibility to take care of the amazing resources we got at hand - animals, nature, natural resources. I absolutely love orcas but you can’t compare a human to an animal, no matter how smart or interactive the latter may be. If we think of ourselves as meat, then meat we shall become.
“ when we return wild animals to nature, we merely return them to what is already theirs, for man cannot give wild animals freedom, they can only take it away” - Jacques Cousteau - Humans have trapped these majestic animals into tiny little bathtubs and use them for our entertainment while that costs their life.
@@eviljesus6111 I wouldn't call them tubs as some of them are huge. Not as big as the ocean but calling them tubs is like saying the world's largest building is just a house.
I live on the coast in NSW Australia and my friend and I saw some beautiful Orcas today!! ❤️❤️❤️ The last time I saw them was about 5 years ago - absolutely magical 🥰
@@mayarasiqueira8186 May all the spirits of those killer whales that have died in captivity be at peace. You will all be missed and your lives should have been filled with so much more than being treated as props, clowns and breeding machines. May Mother Earth forgive us!
@@spacebug30 It's called Evolution "Theory". And how do you know if God is fictional? Have you ever read the bible? Completely? I guess not. So don't consider it to be wrong if you have no idea of God at all.
@@BreyerandSchleichDreams lol, how can you deny a thing as clear and obvious as evolution. You must be suuuuuper close minded to deny it. Your precious favourite book you're fanboying about was written by people(!) who had no idea how the world worked. It was back in a time when they were convinced black people were black because they burned from the sun, geesh...
@@spacebug30 That wasn't the answer to my question. Have you ever read the bible COMPLETELY? Since the bible is written by people (which is true) why do you believe in the Evolution theory? It's also made up by people, isn't it? How ironic...
I love orcas. They are magnificent sea animals and they're so intelligent. I remember seeing one for the first time in the movie Free Willy. But then I watched another movie about a killer whale out for blood. Orca The Killer Whale a 1977 movie about a killer whale avenging the death of his mate and unborn calf. That whale spared no life, took no prisoners, no mercy. Everyone on that boat was on his hit list.
don't get why they are called killer whales though, killer yes, but they are more related to Dolphins, also love their design, the big eye design is so cool
Can't look at these majestic creatures and tell me that they've evolved to become like this! There must be a being more and far more intelligent than these beautiful creatures that created them with such intricate patterns and voices. Love the sounds that they make, and with how adorable they are it's so hard to believe they are the top of the food chain!
Absolutely NOBODY can deny that God is real, this video itself is enough proof of God’s existence, His creation is absolutely breathtaking and I am in AWE of Him and His work 😍🙇🏽♀️
God I just love this animal. It’s my favorite animal in the animal kingdom. Just because there like us and do what they need to and they are just man idk well if I had to I would describe them as. Breathtaking. Gorgeous. Intelligent. Amazing to listen to. I could go on but I should be heading to bed but I can’t when I have these guys on meh screen for 10 HOURS

Whenever I'm depressed, I need this background orca noise that helps my brain to recover. 10 minutes of orca dialog help me effectively instead of endless human rubbish chatter about money and possessions thank you my orca family
My cat is literally acting jealous of how cute this is, (but probably also because they sound like kittens a bit and he only likes other people.) 😾🐳 Haha!
They also have their own cultures. They're most likely the second or third smartest animal species on the planet. 1st being Humanity. The only other species I can think of that could potentially rival the Orca's intelligence would be chimpanzees or corvids. But even then, Orcas have the added edge of understanding the physical differences of being on land (beaching) and in the water; a unique level of understanding that the other two species are not capable of understanding as Chimpanzees drown due to their lack of lipids and their dense musculature, and Corvids generally steer clear of water unless attempting to draw something put from puddles, etc.
