For the last one, instead of deleting your character, click “remove from prospect”. It’ll just abandon the quest and you don’t have to delete your character

to be fair many prospects give you around a week to complete it. Yes we all have real lives in the real world and can sometimes realistically play about 10 dedicated, uninterrupted hours a week but thats still more than enough time to finish a prospect, just gotta keep dodging those bears :p

The new update is now Game based time, time spent in game, not in real life! A great update but they are decreasing the mission timers to reflect not having to sleep and work.

If a mission timer goes down while u are offline when it says to delete the character you can just remove from prospect and you get your character back just none of the rewards u earned in the prospect

A better tip for the 5 stealth kill is just go to settings and turn off killcam 😅

the mission timer indicates that when it hits 00.00.00, there will be dangerous climate that will wipe everything off the planet, making the reason why your character needed to be extracted before the timer runs out. if you watch their prequel short movies, it's explains it. same reasoning apply to all building we made in the planet before extracting.

Yeah but how many people watch or give a turkey about that? my guess maybe 5% the rest like myself just want to play a game for a few hours and have some fun.

@@matt2244 actually to answer your question... everybody. Its the 1 mechanic that sets this game apart from ever other survival game... PVE AND PVT. You can launch without penalty or if you just want to play hit up an outpost. No time restrictions there

getting wiped when timer runs out is somehow different from just dying and respawning on the space station and dropping back down?

Note for mid 2023, the mission timer only counts down when you're in the prospect. So if you go on a 2 week vacation before finishing a prospect... You're ok.

I have noticed when i play solo or with a friend and I am hosting. That the cave worms respawn after I leave the area and come back. sometimes even after 5 minutes of leaving the cave.

For the radar Issuing you can build a 1 square wood foundation with walls around it. Gives you a little extra time to kill things. Then just press y on them and move to the next one

I like the harsh mechanic of the time and character lose. It makes your actions have much more value and the rewards worth it. If the mechanic was just to lose a little xp them this would be like a visually beautiful minecraft.

Agreed with the last one think that's a little much for someone like myself who has a life and can get called away at any point. It's a game it should be fun and a challenge.

also I personally think the penalty for not leaving before the timer runs out is “fair” I mean I like it a lot because there’s no other game like that you know? but idk that’s just my opinion. Awesome video btw!

the #8 tip is kinda missing a part. If you walk to far away from the cave, the worms respawn.

I got a potato gfx card so by default i turn shadows down or off in most games and for icarus caves are still pretty hecking dark =|

thanks mate for this tips. i don't know why the game don't provide any mobility , it's really waste time to running all the map for a mission , to be honest, only the beginning was fun after that boring.

your last tip is kinda out dated now, they updated the game so the timer doesn't run down unless you're playing that expedition so not playing the game doesn't run down your timers :D

fun game, tho sometimes it does not make sense like, if you finish a quest and the next one requires you to go back to that area everything you build is gone... like how ? game is fun tho

It's because it's a hardcore survival game that's why I lose it char if u don't log back in and ur in a mission

I'm having a pretty hard time just to get fur for my bed, when i want it i just never find any wolf to skin xD Sofar most of the other animals have been hard to kill for me xD except maybe a rabbit here and there but they dont have a lot of fur xD Finally built a bed and thunder came when i was a bit away from my camp, the bed was inside but i guess it got destroyed since the floor was damaged? :S

Haha, the joke is on you! I already lost my first main char. (lvl.20) because I didn`t play for a week, so there! jk Well, I say jk, but my main really vaporized itself! The beacon I needed was destroyed by wolves, and I had no way of getting it back. That p*ssed me off so hard I quit for a week. When I locked back in, there were only his dogtags! (How did they get back up I wonder...) Oh, and everybody BE CAREFUL on ICESTORM EXPEDITION. Close to the 3rd thingy you will see a cave, it has an iron node or two, one copper and I think one Alu., you almost can`t miss it. What you also can`t is get back out of that icky lil` sh*thole, unless you have a ramp or ladder! (I had none, but thank F**k I had something to destroy for fibres and a bit of wood for my campfire, if that cave had ruined my mission, I would have been DONE with this game for good!)
