Indeed. I always hypothesized that Alfred had a son who died and Bruce was Alfred's second chance at being a good father. Not quite as sensationalist as "Is he the father?", so less catchy for clicks.
Waz Zup it's a better theory then "he is the father" in my opinion and in some of the batman comics and movies we know that Alfred can easily handle himself and is as capable as Bruce, if not better so he most likely fought in a war and suffered from PTSD and mistreated his own child and he sees Bruce as his form of redemption in my opinion.
blackburnz59 That makes mulch more sense, it was never even alluded to that Al was Bruce's biological father in the comics. You're also spot on with Alfred being capable, IIRC he's ex SAS.
There's this one Dark Knight Trilogy theory I heard that was really interesting. In Batman Begins, a lot of the scenes with Batman's origin have a weird coincidence with the scenes where Bruce Wayne is training and traveling the world. So hear me our...TDK ends with Batman disappearing and at the beginning of TDKR, Wayne has been a recluse, but once he comes out to visit people, we see more of Batman. When Batman dies, Wayne disappears. So my theory is...what if Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same person?
That's not true... Bruce Wayne cannot be Batman because of 3 distinctive reasons - first, Bruce Wayne has openly criticized the Batman in the first and second movies of the trilogy. Second, there are many witnesses that would testify Bruce Wayne partying and living a billionaire lifestyle while Batman is fighting crime. For instance, the Dark Knight shows Bruce partying on a cruise while Batman is in China capturing the Asian crime boss who holds Gotham's crime money. How could the same person be on a cruise in Gotham and hunting down a crime lord I'm China at the same time??? And do you honestly think Mr. Wayne is running his empire and living a luxurious life as a billionaire playboy, while dressing up as a bat to fight crime at night? My third reason is quite simple... Harvey Dent claimed to be the Batman in the Dark Knight. Thus, Bruce Wayne and Batman are not of the same person!
How is Alfred being Bruce Wayne's biological father clearly true? It is a stretch at best. Of course they have a close relationship and Alfred loves him as a son... he raised Bruce alone because the Waynes died.
Kyle Shumate I mean hasn't Alfred been serving the Wayne family long before Bruce was even born? Wouldn't that mean he was serving the Wayne family before Bruce's parents were born or while his father was a child?
It could be true, though. Not in the conventional sense, but I think the theory is somehow logical, if Alfred was the sperm-donator and not the one having an affair with Martha!
In the first avengers movie Loki intended to get captured so he could get in the ship and get the stone etc. I /think/ the fan theory they’re talking about (but didn’t explain well) is that at the END of the first avengers movie Loki intended to get captured so he could go back up to Asgard etc.
He doesnt mean when Loki gets captured in the middle of the movie, he means Loki getting captured after his army is defeated at the end of the movie. He gets captured and then Thor takes him back to Asgard.
I enjoyed some of the theories but the Alfred one was just ridiculous, all my time of reading and watching Batman, I've never thought Alfred is his Father, I just always see him as someone who grew attached to the child in his ward.
kieranproskills Except for that one point after Batman "dies" in Final Crisis and leaves behind a recording calling Alfred "Dad"... Could just be that he thought of him as a father or Bats was showing he really is the world's greatest detective.
and other than the terrible hours, it must come with some perks to butle for bruce. i don't wanna know how many guys and gals alfred served in that manor
of course he thought of him as a father, thats not really news. also, you don't have to be the greatest detective in the world to get a dna test. theres a test lab somewhere on that belt
The theory about The Joker being a soldier makes sense considering the knife he made famous is a boot knife that was commonly used by Airborne soldiers in the past. Since the release of the movie, it's almost impossible to find information on this knife's actual history now and most sources only reference it as the knife The Joker used, but a recorded military history did exist at one point for this knife.
I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain that Honor Guards included in a gun salute are instructed to fire the weapon non traditionally from the armpit like that. Couldn't tell you why, probably something as simple as a comfortable angle to fire a shot into the air without having to torque the body uncomfortably. I DIGRESS. Long story short, he's firing from the pit so as to not look like the sore thumb in the gun salute until it's time to take the pot shot at the podium. But hey, who knows.
I don't think a Garand would be strange for an honor guard. With it's wooden stock, it's a more formal looking weapon than an M16 variant. It's still used by the US Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon.
Yeah, you missed something.... MacCready wouldn't just sit back and expect them both to freeze to death after realizing Childs is the thing. Off the edge of the screen, MacCready smiles as he slowly reaches for the flame thrower he still has. That smile is one of victory as he knows he's about to roast the Thing. Thus saving humanity from the creature, even though he knows he'll freeze to death afterwards. Perhaps even knowing that if anyone arrives at the site, they'll find everyone brutally murdered but he himself simply frozen to death with a flame thrower in his hands and a burned up body in front of him. Thus, not only sacrificing his life, but his good name and reputation to save humanity. Being remembered as a man who completely lost his mind, and went on a murderous rampage; killing friends and associates.
NGMonocrom The flamethrower was outside he didn't have it on him the actor even said so but he did say he beat the thing the same way he beat the computer at chess in the beginning of the movie with a drink.
The aliens in Signs being Demons theory always makes the most sense to me. No alien ships get shown and they react to "holy" water in the priests house. Its a crazy theory but it kind of saves the movie.
Casting out demons and or exorcising them is pretty primitive eh? Also if holy water works there are lots of other religious ways you could dispatch them. Since the holy land is in the mid east it would make sense that they would find some "primitive" way of dealing with demons. It also explains why "aliens" would be defeated by a wooden door on someones pantry.
Joker's clearly a war vet because he can shoot with rifles and mentions soldiers in an off-hand comment? K... Alfred's clearly the father because he likes Bruce and is a strong father figure? K... I'm having doubts about the veracity of this video title. Doubts, I say!!
The joker one does actually have a decent amount of evidence both mentioned i n the video and left out, and the theory actually has very few holes. The alfred one however has no actual evidence at all, is full of plot holes and is completely stupid and says some thing not very good about us if we honestly can't believe someone caring for someone who isn't a blood relative.
But Joker mentions that the first time his father came after him with a knife and the second time he did it to himself for his wife, that's why he has those scars.
He's clearly a war vet NOT JUST because he shoots a rifle & mentions soldiers but because he's clearly an expert in explosives/demolitions,hand to hand combat, military tactics, espionage and infiltration...I think you need to re-watch the movies if you didn't notice these details. As for the the Alfred being Bruce's father theory all I can say is that while its not canon in the comics or movies it is a very realistic depiction of human nature. Like the narrator said, Bruce's father was away while Martha was at home with the butler who happened to be a charming ,smart,British,ex-special forces member Soooo yeah. Not to mention that lonely rich house wives aren't known for being faithful ; )
except that The Thing gets at least some of the memories of whoever it becomes it would know to react to the gas in the booze because the person its killed and copied knew.
Sandy is alive off screen in Grease 2 and is directly mentioned by her cousin as telling him that Frenchie would take care of him. As for Alfred, any compassionate person who raises a child to adulthood will develop paternal love for that child, Alfred is Bruce's guardian and loves him like a son, but that doesn't make him his father.
The increased upload schedule worries me. I still like this channel but we've seen through Watchmojo how an increased upload schedule can severely impact video quality.
Video quality on Watchmojo is still top-notch, just the creativity has gone down. But their videos are still very well ade, even if they are about the 10 best crisp flavours.
yeah, but the thing would know if the bottle contained gasoline, it takes memories of the people it infects, so it would know and react in the correct way, either that or it just didn't care, knowing that it would most likely die due to the elements
Except it can't "die" due to elements. It's bio material survived frozen in the ice for ages until it was brought up by the first group. So, having it's means of escape destroyed, and knowing that another search party would inevitably come, hibernating (freezing) again until it could acquire a new host would be the logical thing to do.
Richard Pester I never understand this idea. Have you watched the scene? it literally is clearly visible whenever he talks. Plus, the thing has visible breath prior to that multiple times in the film. it's the weakest theory I've heard about it.
John Carpenter has stated that in the end scene, neither one of them is the thing, but they do indeed both die. Also, the thing cannot replicate non organic matter, and childs has his earring in at the end of the movie. If he was the thing it would likely not be there.
It's smart enough to rebuild it's space ship out of scrap around the facility. It's smart enough to pick an ear ring up and put it on. The gasoline is one idea, but I believe what John Carpenter states on things. He's said Ghosts of Mars is the third part in the Escape From trilogy, and The Thing, Prince of Darkness and Into the Mouth of Madness are his 'Apocalypse Trilogy'.
here is one...the events in all the transformers movies are just the wild imagination of a little kid playing with his robot toys in the yard...that would explain the shitty story, moving mouths of the transformers and the over the top action and explosions in all the movies...the human characters are played by his parents a crush at school and plastic army men
Isn't that like the tick theory that it's a bed ridden kid dying from lime disease given to him by a tick and he's putting on a play in his head with things around the hospital and American maid is his mom Arthur is his astranged father a chair faced villian while the idea men are his action figures etc?
Dear WhatCulture, Slow down. We're not WatchMojo's audience. We're not going to climb all over you if you take a few days to upload a list if it means the list isn't a list we've already seen others do. And if you pick a theme like this, you've only got so many examples that are applicable that it's difficult for you to do a list like this that doesn't rely heavily on entries that folks who've done this one before have already picked. I came into this expecting the one from The Thing, because I've seen this video before by other channels and they picked the "it's gasoline" one as well. That's what happens when there are four Top 10 videos dedicated to a subject that only has about 15 to choose from. So again, for the health and freshness of your content, please slow down a bit. Most of us love you because you're *not* doing what everyone else is doing.
Patton Oswalt took the Joker theory one step further: He's not just military, he was a military interrogator. Lines like "Never start with the head", and basically directing Batman in his own interrogation.
The main charecters in Spongebob are based on the 7 deadly sins Sloth-Patrick. This is self explanitary Wrath-Squidward. Always angry, hates his life, hates spongbob Greed-Mr. Krabs. He sould Spongbob's soul for 62 cents. Plus everything else Envy-Plankton. Jealous of the Krusty Crabs success Glutony-Gary. "Don't forget to feed Gary" Is a recurring thing Pride-Sandy. Bitch never stops talking about being from Texas and that she was born on land Lust-SpongeBob. Dude overly loves everybody and everything
I ALWAYS wondered why the hell Joker brought up soldiers in that scene. This explanation makes perfect sense. That Alfred one is bullshit though. At least in the TDK trilogy.
MatiZ815 he was making a point that if soldiers are killed it's no big deal, expected really, but if a mayor gets killed people panic because it never happens. It's obvious. Doesn't mean he was a soldier. That line was just an example.
Hansolocup Yeah but there's other small details like that his scars could've potentially been given to him in a POW camp and as a result he was slowly driven insane and his knife is Army/Police officer issue.
Saying "his scars could've potentially been given to him in a POW camp" is like saying "his scars could've been given to him by aliens". Anything COULD HAVE happened. Maybe one of the stories he told were true. maybe he was born like that. It's about proof. And there is none. His knife is not military/police issue. it's a normal knife. I have one just like it.
vKILLZ0NEv Sorry should have worded that a bit better. I believe that the knife was commonly used by policemen and soldiers. Atleast thats what I read about it. The POW camp thing you're right about. I personally dont think thats what it is but I'm just putting together what I see on the screen.
In the videogame of The Thing, you arrive shortly after the camp has burned down and you find Kurt and Keith both frozen. The script was approved by Carpenter so it is canon.
They also had a comic that had a different outcome. Unless a new movie that comes out that's a sequel (the other movie out was a prequel) then we'll never have an official canon conclusion to what happened.
The best movie theory ever is the theory that THE ROOM is the psychotic delusion of a mentally ill man named Tommy who lives in a halfway house; Mark and Lisa are two people who work there taking care of him and other patients (who he includes as different characters in his delusion). Tommy, being isolated and lonely due to his illness, falls in love with Lisa but she cannot reciprocate (assuming she even wants to) because it would be professionally and morally wrong. So Tommy, like many people with severe mental illness, kills himself. A goofy B-movie suddenly becomes a powerful statement about how American society discards the mentally ill, leaving them to suffer from their conditions out of sight out of mind until they snap and kill themselves and/or others.
It’s such a dumb theory. They fly at the end because after grease lightning song the lady says “if it was any better it would fly” and at the end it’s better because everyone has a happy ending
I mean, you could go into a lot more detail about possible military connections for the Joker. Like the fact that he knows how to operate (and train other people in the operation of) heavy artillery, with accuracy, even in moving vehicles, his extremely detailed understanding of urban guerrilla warfare as demonstrated in the whole truck transport scene -- including anti-aircraft tactics etc. It would also make sense he might have a lot of acquaintances who are former Arkham patients if he was getting in- or outpatient treatment for PTSD. Especially if the sudden collapse of Arkham's infrastructure caused by the events of the first movie might have meant some patients were released when they shouldn't have been, or went off their meds, or stopped getting much-needed therapy (or started getting therapy from lower-rung employees who weren't qualified to handle the new workload due to shuffling staff around, etc).
DyrianLightbringer mi5 used to use one name for booking their agents into hotels. So the idea of bond being just a working name isnt all that hard to believe. That it would be used continuously is impossible to believe. May aas well call it ' anonymous british agent'
They're not talking about the first time he got captured in order to get on the ship. They're talking about the ending, where he gets captured and taken back to Asgard.
The Rock/007 one is pretty awesome, I bet they couldn't come out and say anything without being sued by the 007 camp. It's like unofficially officially doing it, makes that movie a lot better
UncleAir Except the idea that James Bond is just a code name is totally BS. If you watched all the movies you would know it's not true. They are all the same character
vKILLZ0NEv it is definitely fully confirmed as the story 😂 it's very late and I can't keep my eyes open to explain right now but, it is indeed a fact in the matrix universe. It does tend to get lost in translation though
The weird part is when you ask why people don't like the trilogy and they just stare into the distance mumbling "because...reasons..." I believe most people just say they dislike it because of mainstream opinion. Or worst when they say it's because of the architect part...and i start thinking "so you're saying you don't like the movie because the english is to advance for you?"
Your Joker theory sucks. If he had been a soldier they would have tons of info on him when they captured him. Finger prints medical files, etc. Theory makes no sense and was given no thought.
Stephen Hirt well there is a guy in the comments who kinda helps that theory by saying something along the lines of it was an illegal operation and the joker was the only one who survived and was taken prisoner and beaten and they carved a smile in his face and the government wanted to erase all traces of him because he took part in an illegal operation and in the months or even years it took for the joker to somehow escape he took a lot of psychological and physical torture and built up an immense hatred for America and when he did escape he went back to Gotham to wreak havoc. Plus it's just a movie anyways so for all I care he could have cut himself shaving as long as the performance is good then I have no problems
I like films that make me think after like Prometheus, origins of humans stuff. I'm interested to see what Ridley Scott's vision/imagination is for the creators' world in Prometheus 2. I think people who were disappointed with Prometheus probably went into the cinema thinking it was going to be all about the aliens from the Alien film franchise, I was glad they only played a small cameo in Prometheus.
_ Blair4DFC Prometheus is one of my favourite films. It went wrong with alot of folk because during production Ridley Scott promised stuff that never ended up being in the film. I take it for what it is, a beautiful thing.
For the Thing theory. I have done much research on this theory, but to make it short: Neither of them is the thing. I can write a whole report on it, but let me just give you this: In the script Macready nips from the bottle before Childs even appears, the Thing HAS breath as clearly seen earlier in the movie (the light in the last scene make you think Childs hasn't and the makers addmited that this was done by mistake) and Carpenter had plans for a sequel in which both would have been human. There is a alot more but I will leave it like this now. If you want to know more let me know.
My fav is the one that Palpatine stole Padmés life force to keep Anakin alive after he was burned on Mustafa, and that’s what killed her, not just her having the big sad
Oh, not another "Joker is a vet" list! Look, we have very clear rules about top ten lists that keep us from sinking into complete depravity. I know you're young and you think you can do anything, WhatCulture, but if you're not careful, one day you'll wake up and look in the mirror and you'll realize you've become WatchMojo. Do you want to be WatchMojo?! Do you?! I didn't think so. So listen; we don't recycle one single list item for multiple different lists; I'm going to be charitable and pretend that this was only the second time I've caught you doing this for now. But items can get stretched if you use them over and over again, they can get old, so make sure to use new ones every time you start a new list. Only cheap channels that don't care about quality or the safety of their audience reuse list items. Be safe, stay smart.
Annie Trinity They've reused certain things for lists multiple times especially over on the Whatculture Wrestling channel one being, JBL beat up the Blue Meanie. They used that in at least 2 or 3 different lists
An awesome theory for the joker is that he is self-aware, as in aware of being a character. Imaginary axis explains it very very well and has very compelling evidence for this, not to mention I love the idea and always seem to find subtle clues for it throughout all the different versions of the character, even the show Gotham. It's an awesome theory.
Especially because it explains why he never worries about dying or getting caught, he knows without joker there is no Batman, he is just playing his role of being the bad guy, he doesn't take anything seriously because it's all part of the show.
I think that in the Matrix, the Zion world is just another layer of the Matrix, but it *was* created by the machines. When the Architect is talking about the problem with 1% of humans rejecting the Matrix, he speaks in a very calm manner about it, as if it's not a problem - As if he's already found a solution. Also, if it was really a struggle between machine and human, why would they rebuild Zion once it was destroyed? He says that the destruction of Zion would lead to the extinction of the human race, but that's just not true. The humans in the Matrix wouldn't be woken up by it. Humans would still be grown in pods by the machines. It would just eliminate the outside threat to the Matrix. I think that the Architect created the Zion world as a second layer of the Matrix so that the 1% of people that rejected the initial layer would wake up into a second layer - Still inside the Matrix - and be naturally satisfied The existence of the war would make them think they had escaped. This would also explain how Neo is able to use his powers outside of the Matrix. How does he do that when his power comes from bending the Matrix? He's not jacked into it, is he? If my theory is right - Yes he is. He's still in the Matrix, and that explains his power in the Zion world. This also clears up the plot hole of "How did Cypher get into the Matrix and back into the Zion world to carry out his plan". Because it's just another layer of the Matrix, the machines would just be able to choose which one he's in. It also clears up the battery plot hole. If it's just an invented struggle, then maybe the machines invented one that didn't quite make sense. The Wachowskis originally intended for the humans just to be the computing power of the Matrix, but the studio thought that audiences wouldn't understand that, what with computers on a large scale being relatively new at the point the film came out, so it was changed. Maybe the battery thing is just invented, and the Wachowskis managed to still have humans as the computing power - Just for a double layered Matrix. There's also the moment in the first film, when Neo wakes up in the pod, and a machine appears and looks at him, then just goes away without alerting any other machines, or putting him back in, or killing him or anything. Why would it do that? Because it doesn't matter because it's a virtual struggle. Finally, at the end of the last film, when humanity and the machines reach a peace, Morpheus says "Is this real?". Why would the Wachowskis specifically make Morpheus, the one who has been most loyal to the prophecy of the one, in that moment of victory, question the reality of it? They wouldn't, unless there wasn't some significance to it. Morpheus is also the name of an Ancient Greek God of dreams and Nebuchadnezzar was the name of a Babylonian king in the Bible who was plagued by dreams, perhaps these imply that Morpheus is constantly in a dream - Or a virtual reality. Anyway, that's my theory, and I think it's neat and holds a lot of water.
Thanks! Personally I like the idea of the Wachowskis possibly using this as a way to satisfy the studio but not actually change anything. If it's true, I applaud them.
I am sold. I think you figured it out. I am going to use this but I will never say I made it up. I'll cite someone in the comments section from youtube.
Your hypothesis (not theory) about the Joker is incorrect. In order to enlist in the U.S. military you have to submit your finger prints to the federal database so when he intentionally gets captured they would have pulled up his record.
Dustin Owens Not if his fingerprints were burnt off in the war. Maybe an IED killed his fellow soldiers and he was left with numerous injuries.Like maybe he pulled himself from the wreckage and singed his hands.PTSD could make a man do crazy things.
Silly me, I figured that being in the Marine Corps for 8.5 years I would know something about what you do during each MEPS visit. Also having a B.S. in physics going for an M.S. I should know what a theory really is.
Why would the Thing not react to the gasoline? What leads you to believe that? It has the memories of people it has taken over... including memories of what booze tastes like.
Piratevixen Vixy .. This is why people think its bad. Everyone thought it was a prequel. They bitched and complained how it had nothing to do with Aliens. The director has explained multiple times that the movie was taking place at the same time as alien. It only feels like a prequel because they explain that humans and aliens were created by the same people.
I liked it too. I thought it looked gorgeous. It looked so good, nothing else really mattered to me. I was really surprised when people started saying it was bad. I dunno, maybe I'll change my mind if I watch it now.
Beerus Sama no he was on an illegal armaments mission with his squad and the truck was sabotaged by the terrorists which killed most of his squadmates.he survived and when the Terrorists( imma say t for short) came to check out if there were any survivors they found a soldier(joker) and they took him captive.he suffered mental and physical pain.they beat him and carved a smile on his face.he was prob hungry and thinking abt killing himself.they put him in a dark room which caused him severe mental trauman and by beating him physical trauma.and he hated the country he wanted to protect cuz they left him out there and nobody came to rescue him or at least find him.He somehow escaped or the Ts released him to go and cause havoc. And thats how he snapped and escaped or actually got released.
Peter Pan Had A Deal with the Devil He has A Moving Shadow,Is there is another Disney Character that has A Moving Shadow,Yes, and His Name is Doctor Facillier,See Facillier Made a Deal with The Devil to give him his Magic,And Peter Pan made a Deal with the Devil in exchange for Immortality, and He Gave them Bouth Moving Shadows as a Gift shit Peter Pan has Just Got Fucked Up
+TheCrakp0t - Why Do You Contradict yourself by Saying "All Of Your words Capitalised" and then Saying "Some Aren't"? If they're All capitalised then they're All Capitalised, so then "Some Aren't" makes No Sense.
Some were good, some were kinda bleh. I liked the James Bond one. But I think the Joker and Alfred ones were terrible, since Joker's specific scars really don't fit with it, and Alfred is just plain not Bruce's real biological father. Alfred is absolutely Bruce's father because he raised him as his own, and that has its own warm fuzzy meaning.
Jaeus A I looked the Joker theory up a while ago. There is an explanation for the scars--That after going mad from his combined grief, PTSD and nihilism, he used shrapnel from his truck to brand himself.
Jamie Very possible.Maybe he attempted to kill himself in a PTSD induced rage and failed. He is anti-government due to the VA not supporting him and so his becomes disillusioned with the united States. His PTSD causes him to be violent and irrational. Thus the iraq war created the joker,a man at war with himself and the country that failed him
Thomas Shaughnessy A question I was asked was that, if he's a soldier, why aren't his fingerprints on record? Well, it would be VERY easy to say that the explosion burned his fingerprints off. If it wasn't the explosion itself, then holding a scalding piece of shrapnel to have a go at suicide certainly would. All that pain--Losing his comrades, serious mental "scars", burning off his own fingerprints and scarring his own face..He truly is at war with himself...
I'm a vet. Went to Iraq and Afghanistan. Please stop. All of these things you're all coming up with are sooooo far out of left field it's ridiculous. Not to mention insulting.
Its cool but unfortunately it rests on the premise that James Bond is a code name which cannot be true, as Rodger Moore is shown in one film mourning his wife who was killed by Blofeld in a film where George Lazenby played Bond.
Could be that every time a Bond dies or retires they get a new person to totally take over their life and history, and pretend to be the same person. As for why - to build up his reputation as an unkillable super-spy (could also be why he gives all the bad guys his full name), or to confuse counterintelligence efforts.
actually, the 1982 version is more like a Reboot than a Remake, it takes the premise and changes it slightly, like the Thing in the 1982 version replicates stuff, the 1951 version the thing can't do that, it's just an alien
Literally the only "proof" about that theory, is that someone on the internet said it. There's nothing in at all to suggest this theory is even viable let alone likely. It's interesting none the less, but "maybe it's this" is hardly any sort of proof.
According to the Joker, his wife (who often mentioned that he needed to "smile more") found herself in trouble with gambling sharks who "carved her face." As the pair couldn't afford surgery, and in an effort to reassure his wife that he didn't care about her scars, the Joker disfigured himself in solidarity. He literally said that in the film
Jordan Weed well DC movies are credited by DC comics so you would have to think tho they dont share the same universe exactly the sorta mirror it. which is why i said he wouldnt be wrong however im not sayin its true. kinda like sayin its 2 o'clock somewhere.
How about this - Admiral Ozzel in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back was actually a Rebel spy. Instead of being an incompetent Imperial officer, he was really working for the Rebellion. One, he tried to convince Vader that the energy generator seen & reported by the drone was not a sign that the Rebels were on Hoth, but smugglers. Two, he came out of light speed too close to Hoth, alerting the Rebels. I think he was knowingly helping the Rebels.
Along the same lines as the "Sean Connery is James Bond in 'The Rock'" theory, I read somewhere once the theory that in "Unforgiven" Clint Eastwood is playing the same character he played in the "Man With No Name" trilogy (Fistful of Dollars, etc.). He gave up his shootin' and robbin' ways and started a family, but gets drawn back in for one last score, so to speak. Much of his dialogue in "Unforgiven" matches up pretty well with the theory. Not saying it's true, but it's an interesting way to look at that movie.
You missed one: Agent Smith was the "hero" : The Matrix. He is the actual "Anti-virus" for the matrix, not Neo, Neo was the one who need it to activated because "he started to believe", but Smith was the actual "one"
I never realized that the guy within the crowd that shot Gordon was the Joker. I figured he was some insane guy that the Joker both hired and scarred his face, like as a message or something. I suppose it doesn't much sense that someone would let their boss fuck up their face, let it heal, then do the whole assassination thing, now that I think about it. I mean, that person would have to be even crazier than the Joker to not try to find some way to defy or something. Though it also doesn't make sense that the Joker was able to get away in that scene, not impossible, but I suppose just very impressive on his part. Maybe that's why I assumed it was another person, because that seemed more likely to me than it being the Joker himself.
yes it definitely makes sense as to why he does the things he does if this theory is true. I also think hes pretty smart and portrayed that way, so he probably would have planned it all out!
What about THE SHAPE OF WATER. Old girl was actually a fish person all along. Remember, she was found by a Spanish named river as a baby with the "scars" on her neck. She was raised by humans and didn't know. But this explains her affinity for water. And also why she was mute.
That'd be a fine theory, were it not for the fact you can clearly see Childs' breath in that scene, even in the clip used here. It's not back lit like Macready's so it isn't as bright, but it's there.
Also, Joker somehow manages to hold his own against Batman in like every physical confrontation they have across all media, so it would make sense if he had professional training.
Adam Andrews in some of DC’s best written fights, they more or less undermine the number of martial arts learned by the characters in favor for their knack for combat (which explains that one sided fight between Batman and Deathstroke people use for references)
nope nope. pharisees asked the romans to kill jesus and pontius said its a local religious issue so let the pharisees deal with it. you know, he washed his hands of it!
E.T. Is a Sith Lord. He comes from outer space. He can move things with his mind. He recognises Yoda (Halloween costume scene). He comes back from the dead.
