These JRPGs are loved by many, but we'd really like to see how remakes could improve them for modern platforms. For this list, we'll be looking at IPs that deserve to return from the other side of the Pacific. Our countdown includes the “Golden Sun” series (2001-10), “Skies of Arcadia” (2000), the “Xenosaga” series (2002-06), and more! Which of these JRPGs would you like to see make a comeback? I would say that both "Legend of Dragoon" and the Breath of Fire series" need remakes if not sequels or prequels if not both.

I'm quite happy to announce that shadow hearts already have a spritual successor in the making called penny blood. Also i want to add BOF: dragon quarter as a honorable mention. That game really deserve a remake considering the success of soul series in this days it could be a good opportunity to revive BOF IP.

Parasite Eve. Doesn’t help that Square Enix constantly teases us with Aya Brea. Just do it already!!! Hell, I’ll take a remaster at this point

Does anybody remember Golden sun on the gba in 2001? That game was sick, had an awesome sequel, and even a ds sequel which was also alot of fun

As much as I would love to see a Mario RPG remake, since Squaresoft now Square/Enix does own part of it, it might not happen especially w/ secret hidden boss.

There's a spiritual successor to Wild Arms on Kickstarter. Its from the same devs, called Armed Fantasia. And also Penny Blood, a "new" Shadow Hearts

This list gets it! I've been dying for a Xenosaga and Super Mario RPG remakes / remasters for decades, would be instant buys for me. Might just add to the list Lunar SSS, Legend of Dragoon, Breath of Fire series, MegaMan Legends series, Baten Kaitos series, Valkyrie Profile Lenneth and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions

I am happy to see Shadow Hearts make the remake list this time around. I am also happy with it getting a successor in penny blood. It all works. Now if only we can manage a legend of dragoon, Legaia and Grandai game we will be set.
