I was always impressed by the fact that a non-human creature that is only active for 23 days, every 23 years managed to register the vehicle and order a customized license plate
I loved this film and for me it was all about that character, his truck and thought's that there are probably people like that out there. The '41 COE look for the movie was truly menacing and an outstanding creation.
i swear to everything that is holy i was gonna request this truck on your next upload. and hot dog here it is. thank you sir. you are definitely killing it with these videos.
Thanks, yeah the Impalas were automatics, but they oddly installed a prop floor shifter in them for the actors to fiddle with, not sure why they bothered though as they weren't fooling anyone with it, lol!
Holy 💩! Can you imagine driving down a long road, and all of a sudden, this truck rolls up on you out of nowhere, considering that they are still out there. 😭 😱 Thanks for the insight.
Number six. They should have looked into and upgraded the cooling systems of both as well. An Inline six can't be cooled fast enough if it is constantly running from a V-8 truck even if it just one of the smallest big blocks. Same with the trucks. Props to Tom, for giving one of these trucks the drivetrain it deserves, and to Troy for what you are doing with truck number two. And Scott for his LS dropped replica along with Kevin's screen accurate replica. Thank you gentlemen.
That movie, and that awesome truck is what turned me onto COE's. Been trying to find one in decent shape. They are super hard to come by. I'd 'kill' to drive that to work everyday.
Love the Video! Thanks for the shout out.. I own Truck #2 it now has been fully restored since this video was made.. So when I got it.. it had a 235 engine in it.. this was the motor that was in it during filming.. well it started leaking Antifreeze out of the side of the engine block.. so we pulled the motor.. we installed another 235 engine.. the head blew several times before i said the heck with this.. JC ( The Creeper Truck ) now has been upgraded.. 350 four bolt main, 400 Turbo Automatic transmission, power steering, disk front brakes.. and brand new complete wiring harness.. It truly runs like it should.. its a hot rod.. and ALOT FASTER than the Chase Truck.. But again thanks for the shout out!
Awesome, I'd figured you'd come by and drop a comment eventually and that's great man, very glad to hear that she's got some solid running gear now! Hope you have a blast with her, especially this particular month of the year 😉👍
This one gives out vibes to the tow truck in the first “ Wrong Turn” movie, I believe it may have been a Dodge. There is actually one a few miles away from us that was in use by a local towing company up until the early 2000’s. Not built for Highway use obviously but it would pull a freight train with the old flathead six banger & gearing that is in it.
Great video as always mate. I never watched the movie, I am definitely old enough to have, but I never got around to it. These Vans look way cool though, thanks for sharing.
I loved this video! Oh Please, please do a video about the Van used for the 2003 movie of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre! I love that style van and I want to know more about it! 😁
Ohhh great 😵😵 we're done carstarz as we got supe up junk out big truck chasing us down all because one of us had to look closely what this evil beast was doing my friend anyway as usual nice work on creeper truck video so see you later bye now.
Yeah, that sound effect sounded more like an air sucking sound than a supercharger whine to me, but yeah they definitely added some kind of sound over to it anyways. 😉
CAR STARZ,,, MY SON MAX 8 YR.S OLD AND I LOVED THIS INFO.. VIDEO AND WHAT AND HOW AND WHO HAS THESE TRUCKS TODAY ... WHERE ARE THE IMPALAS ?? MY SON ASKS THERE GONE I BELIEVE... WE LOVED THE MOVIE ,,BUT MY SON WAS MUCH YOUNGER AND HE GOT FREAKED OUT !!! HA!! WE GO TO LOWRIDER SHOWS ALL THE TIMES AND THERE IS A 1960 IMPALA THAT SAYS IN WORDS ON THE RIGHT BACK SIDE JEEPERS CREEPERS ,, GREAT JUMPER CAR ,,.. THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a kid I thought it was weird that this “creature” drove a vehicle. Like, who did he buy it from? How’d that transaction go? Does he do his own maintenance/repairs? Where does he get parts? Where does he get gas? That’s how my brain works 😂 I dug the movie though; thought the ending was very satisfying.
I was always impressed by the fact that a non-human creature that is only active for 23 days, every 23 years managed to register the vehicle and order a customized license plate
Surprised that they didn't have dual rears. I've always liked this franchise and in my opinion, part 2 with the high school kids on the school bus is the best of the 4 installments. I thought part 4 was stupid. If there's a part 5, Gina Phillips should be in it to go after the creeper like she vowed at the end of part 3.
Yeah, I think they should have kept the duals on too as that would be even more menacing 😉👍 I haven't seen the 4th one, probably won't bother as I haven't heard anything positive about it anyways.
I really enjoy your videos, I have a couple suggestions, . . Melanie Griffith's mustang in "Cherry 2000" . The mustang the prisoners restored in Sylvester Stallone's movie "Lock up" . Vin Diesel's original charger from the first "The fast and the furious" . .the Chevelle The Rock drove in "Faster". . Ice Cubes 64' Impala from "Boyz in the Hood". . . Also maybe consider some Bikes. . Like the ones from "Easy rider" or "Harley-Davidson and the Marlboro Man" . . Oh, and I remember a special Knight Rider episode were kit was installed into a 57 Bel Air. . Would love to know the story behind that.
Glad you are enjoying the channel. Yep, all of those you listed are already on my list to look into, but I'm a four-wheels only kind of guy, so there won't be any bikes, sorry about that. Also, the first F&F Charger was one of the early ones I did, here you go... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p0_qK5skVOs.html
I’ve seen one of these trucks on a flat bed in Ruskin, Fl years ago. I was working at Kash n Karry when I approached it it has screen shots of the movie attached to the back of it. Unfortunately camera phones weren’t popular yet and all I had was my flip phone. The trucker must have seen me because he started his engine and drove off.
people keep calling my 1968 Ford F500 Jeepers Creepers. i guess the patina is kind of close. i have never seen Jeepers Creepers movies. my truck is not a COE and it has a utility service bed.
They couldn’t have picked a more awesome truck for this movie. is it true that the famous wrestler the undertaker played the part of the creeper in one of these shows?
Yep, I'm still saving gorgeous Christine for closer to Halloween, probably the week of. Gotta keep you in suspense you know 😉👍 That '55 is on my list too, just haven't found enough info on that one for a video quite yet.
I drove a ‘41 Chevy pickup for years. The stock 216 engine has bottomless torque but 55mph is just about flat out. It will take a terrible beating too.
I have a couple for you, Big Fat Death from Zombie Land 2 and the truck from Monster Man. I know the owners of both trucks, and can get you in touch with them if needed, also the Rolling Vengeance truck, I know the builder of that truck also. Side note I plan on building a 1/2 scale replica of the Rolling Vengeance truck
Man I would love to have one of those Chevy COE trucks with a 6.2 LS and a 6 speed manual to mess with people. 🤣🤣 I would dress up like the Creeper too and maybe some fake skulls in the back.
@@CarStarz42@ 4:30 you can see her Is fighting with the manual transmission. The car was a manual in the movie ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k98ThZ0CX0c.htmlsi=Ldh2BAXh312FpqwX
That movie was big-time gory, even by the standards of the day. The truck sort of resembles a Korean war era Dodge ambulance, as in M*A*S*H, and I always wondered if they might have been influenced by that style.
I don't know how much they paid for them but I've seen oddball movie vehicles like that go for surprisingly cheap I wouldn't be surprised if they were under $8k
I think Troy paid like $24,000ish for his screen used one though and that was even before he dropped a lot more money into it for the restoration and props and such.
My father's favorite movie. To curious to know how to private contact you since I do live near the Los Angeles area. I'd seen so many original vehicles especially the lost forgotten George Barris display at Universal Studios Hollywood in 1998. Featuring the #1 Batmobile along with other cars. I do have behind the restoration photos Cobra Mercury and Ghostbusters Ecto-1
Cool, I'll let you know if I need any help, but I'm good for now, Thanks; I already covered the Cobra Merc and Ecto1, so those videos are on the channel too 😉
@@CarStarz42 I'd visit a several Hollywood Car Rental businesses and seen lots of Hollywood vehicles being worked on. Let me know if you are interested I can provide photos from my collection. Cobra Merc will be on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Hollywood
I dunno why but that whole car chase thing in the daylight was the creepiest part of the movie, even moreso than seeing that dead body drop the chute. It just catches up like nothing!
You are wrong about the truck being able to catch up with the Impala, even with it having extra gears. Those trucks were geared so low that they would top out at 50-55 mph. The Impala could have easily ran pulled away from that truck in real life, with a top speed of at least 85-90 mph. It isn’t the number of gears that make a vehicle fast, per say, it is the gearing that determines the acceleration and the top speed.
The donor vehicles most likely started life as hard working orchard trucks loaded with wooden crates which were filled daily and traveled the country distributing products
And when it comes to movies, what you see is often not what really is. The floor shifter, believe it or not was a fake prop; it was a powerglide transmission hero car for sure. Smoke and mirrors friend; that's Hollywood for you 😉
@@jeffreyrigged Not sure, but probably not too terribly much more than the Impala as the truck isn't loaded down with much. should be more looking at power and gearing than weight for top speed estimates though 😉
After the CRIME that was the Green Hornet movie and butchering of Chrysler Imperials I have a really hard time supporting or watching actual classic automobiles being destroyed for the sake of a scene in a movie. Their not making any more of the cars. I mean the trucks were likely saved from being crushed, but they had "several" of these Impalas? What a shame. Glad I never watched the movie. Interesting video though. Addendum Truck #3 was dropped off at a scrap yard.
The CREEPER is a DEMON, from HELL. Part Bat, part Vampire, part Human Monster it eats people who fear it and has a body part it needs to regenerate itself. This movie and it's sequeals disgusts me. The truck it drives is a Demonically possessed machine.
Chevrolet offered a smattering of transmission options to accompany its three engines. The three-speed manual was available behind any powerplant except the 305hp Special Turbo-Thrust 348, while a four-speed manual could be ordered with all of the 348s, except the 305hp version. Chevrolet also offered an overdrive for the three-speed manual transmission that was available with six-cylinder engines and 283 V-8s.
A truly stupid movie wih zero horror, zero terror, zero suspense, made zero plot sense. I guess the director never took lessosn from directors like Toby Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Wes Craven (Hills have eyes and Last House on the Left), or John Carpenter (Halloween). Ranks right down there with Hellraiser and the stupid hell beings like that fat guy wearing sunglasses or that S & M gal demon. Yawn.
