@@designedtothenines I also use the dissolving aspirin to gargle with if you have mouth ulcers, it sticks to the ulcer, reducing inflammation and helps with pain, they heal very quickly. X
If you get marker or ink on shoes (granddaughter did this😏) you can use rubbing alcohol to remove it... Also.. are you thinking of making a pillow?...instead of throwing the lint away...collect it from your dryer..it's clean, soft and smells so good!
Here's a tip: When you paint, you have a wonderful opportunity to give yourself a spa-level hair & skin conditioning while making it easy to remove paint from your hair & skin. Olive Oil. Rub olive oil generously into your hair before tying it up to control it. Next, rub oil on your skin anywhere that might become exposed during the painting. Work the oil into your cuticles, & don't forget to rub oil onto your face, neck & ears. Wash your hands to get most of the oil off the hands, dry them, then scratch a bar of soap, to fill the space under the nails. Now you're ready to paint! After painting, cleaning the brushes, & putting everything away, you can shower & shampoo as usual. The olive oil will have kept the paint from reaching your skin & hair, so will easily wash off. Meanwhile, the oil will have penetrated the skin & hair, making them soft & youthful. Now the room you painted looks good & so do YOU!
Olive oil is inflammatory. I use almond oil, it's lighter, and won't block your pores. I even use it to wrap my hair up under my garden hats. That way it's a hot oil treatment.
It has been awhile since I've seen someone with GENUINE joy. People tend to smile but you can see what's behind their eyes regardless. Thank you for showing me that joy is still attainable because if God gave it to you...I too can have it. I was starting to give up!!!! No one can fake that!
This really works with wax melts???? I am a wax melt junkie haha and I will love this idea!!!! Can you just put them in there and leave them there until you use them?
You have the most beautiful smile and attitude that is infectiously positive! It makes me want to watch. Just a suggestion. My son is a dry waller. He taught me to fill a large hole in wall like that you should use drywall compound (the pink stuff is for small cracks.and shrinks quite a bit) and a 6" drywall knife(putty knife). Do not over fill hole. It's better to do 3 light coats that dont protrude proud of wall saving on sanding. The last coat fills the tiniest little dips when you spread from all directions.. Then use a sanding block when 3rd coat is totally dry. This method will save a ton of sanding and dust that ultimately gets all over the house.
I work for a tile and flooring company. You have to be careful with the toilet bowl cleaner grout hack. It can eventually break down your grout. If you’re going to use this hack, I strongly recommend sealing your grout immediately as soon as your grout is dry. This protects your grout and keeps it washable with regular mopping for a long time. There are other grout cleaners that work similarly to the bleach cleaner but you should still seal it.
@@reginalol5324, there is also grout that has the sealant “built in” it. Several folks put it out now and you can find it at most if not all of the home improvement stores. Obviously, it would be used on installation. That’s we recommend for new installs.
Thank you for sharing your hacks..I will be looking for the drill attachment to clean my cabinets!!! I have a hack.. the struggle of opening the crazy glue.. gorilla glue after it is opened and the top is glued shut..can be avoided by dipping the tip in Vaseline. It works like a charm..my glue opens right up every time!! Take care
I put Vaseline around tip of hot glue gun. It keeps the strings from forming! I also wipe Vaseline around lid of my crafting paints. Then paint won't dry around lid and be easy to open. Easy oven cleaner: put baking soda on floor of oven. Place bowl of white vinegar on rack. Let sit overnight. Fumes from vinegar loosens everything up and you wipe it down in the morning.
@@deborahleslie2730 It works like a charm..I did also start using just a little on my chalk paint lids too..since they seem to always get stuck shut for me too.. it works too..take care
I loooove home hacks. And these were amazing. I especially like the one to prevent bleeding when painting stripes. My mind is blown! One little hack I've used has to do with nailing anything into a wallpapered wall. If you cut a little upside down v-shape in the paper before you insert the nail you can avoid making a hole in the paper. Then if you want to remove your artwork you simply remove the nail and paste the paper back up in place.
Years ago when we were having our house built, I had a conversation with a coworker who had just moved into a new house. She told me she spent way too much time cleaning her light colored floor tile grout and that if she had it to do over, she would have ordered the flooring with dark grout. Fast forward 24 years and I have never had to worry about my very dark grout.
There is a product called “Kiss Off” that I kept in my desk as an art teacher. I think it was originally used to get lipstick off of clothing. But it also has other uses. Your fans probably have more ideas than I do but one of the things we used it for was to remove permanent marker from clothing and other things made of fiber. It comes in a little cylindrical tube like a chapstick or lipgloss. I just love your videos, darling lady!
Wish I seen this a month ago had bought my granddaughter Lily a pair of name brand sneakers light pink mind you she is 3 years old, She used a permanent marker and I could not get it out and I ended up throwing them out. Thanks I will always look forward to using this if something is to happen again or with my new grandson. 😀
I just learned a hack that blew my mind. I have allergies so I use low streaking wet mop with the wet mopping cloths from Walmart (no scent/no bleach) and after I vacuum I run the wet mop over my carpet. It picks up the fine loose dust and superficial stains. This works so well in between your usual carpet cleaning.
You can now buy light bulbs that are battery operated and usb rechargeable! No need to have an electrical outlet near your lamp, just get a rechargeable light bulb. I wanted a lamp in the middle of my family room on a table that I had but there was no outlet. Light bulb to the rescue. It works great!
I have seen those and they are so cool. I can't wait to try them. I don't know if they'd work for my living room as I believe they have about 12 hours of usage... and my light fixtures are up about 9 feet high. but how cool for lamps where there is no outlet. I am definitely giving this a try!
I have 2 rechargable light bulbs that i purchaced from Aldis. They recharge when they are on. At dusk they come on when livingroom gets dark. Perfect for when im away from house.
@@getcrackin6778 what do u mean they recharge when they are on? Are u saying you dont ever have to recharge them? What is the name of these bulbs? Id love to buy a few
I've used liquid hair spray any number of time to remove ink stains. Works great! Also, for any rubber marks on floors from jogging shoes, use nail polish remover. I'm sure there are tons of others we all have, but you gave me a new one with the wall lights! I love that and think I'll have to mimic it for an upcoming project I have in mind! However, I'm not sure I understand how the cord behind the wall works. Do you have a more detailed description on any other video for an old woman like me? LOL Thanks, Natalie.... you're always so much fun to watch! If only more people were as good natured as you are, what a wonderful world we would have!
Worked for Guardsman almost 20 years. Happy to see you use a good product on your wood. We make wood tone markers as well as fabulous dust clothes & ones to remove water& heat marks. I put the dust clothes on my swifter to do my wood floors. I can turn it 4 different folds before washing it.
one of my first jobs in life was for a furniture company. i was trained to repair furniture. i loved Guardsman products, the markers and the colored wood-fill 'crayons'.........i think sets of those should be first gifts for every young person with a new home. i would love to see them marketed more widely. i love to be their demo-gal in fact. ha ha.
Great hacks! An additional hack for drywall patch. Wait until sparkle is about 80% dry and go over it with a damp sponge. It works every time and eliminates need for sanding! You can even use rough side of sponge after sparkle dries.
I was using a swiffer to get the dust off a wall I was using drywall mud on and to my great surprise the swiffer acted like sandpaper and took excess mud off the wall and didn't leave sanding ridges on the wall.
I used white out to cover the old white grout between my wall tiles and it has lasted now 5 years.. I then used it on the white grout between the floor tiles....still looks great there too. Takes time and you have to scrape off any excess but still looks great.
I bought the drill scrubber set when I first saw you demonstrate cleaning your cabinets. I use it mostly for cleaning my tile shower. It’s good for car upholstery too. I am totally using the tp roll hack! 🧻 Cords are such a pain. I will add a hack for removing sharpie.🖊 If it can go in the washing machine, wash in cold water with a quart of salt. Just regular old table salt.
I painted my kitchen floor grout with chalk paint, but it only lasted a few years with mopping and it sort of bled onto the tiles gradually. Then I used concrete paint with a built-in sealer (left over from my lanai) and it's been gorgeous and withstands weekly cleanings wonderfully.
Ok so this is more of a hack for us ladies lol so I bought a bra on Amazon, I absolutely love it! It’s underwired, supportive, yet comfortable. Do you know how it is when you find one that fits you right doesn’t cut into you etc. You don’t want to search again. I am not one to return a bra for obvious reasons. My strap broke and it was the metal ring that attaches the strap to the cup. I washed it and even though I wash them in a mesh bag, somehow it broke in the washer. I didn’t really wanna sew it so I thought I fixed My Closet shelf with a huge zip tie and it’s held up for years so why not My Bra lol So I looped a zip tie through the holes and I don’t have to spend $20 on a new one.
I have a rule - if I find a bra I love I buy 3 more. I hate bra shopping and if you find one you like you can bet in the next 4 - 6 months you will never be able to find it again.
@Arnold Ziffle I try to remember not to use fabric softener in my delicates because I really only use it to reduce static cling caused by the dryer. I never put my delicates in the dryer so I’m only wasting fabric softener if I add it to their wash. Still, sometime I do it absentmindedly. But so far I haven’t had any damaged elastic. Over many years. Maybe a gazillion years, even. I’m old. ;0)
My iron cord was making me crazy! Then I used a long claw-type hair clip.(from when I had long hair) You can find the big ones for a dollar at the swap meet or even sometimes at dollar tree. I clip the whole folded chord to the iron handle. I use the small ones to keep the measuring tape together in my sewing kit, and I also keep a tape in my kitchen junk drawer. I use one while traveling to hold the cord on my hair tools, Dual-purpose because I always need a hair clip to wash my face, and do make-up at the hotel.
Denture tabs in water for grout worked for me. Just plop the tabs in water and pour onto the grout, let it sit for as long as you want (whatever works) then mop it up. Denture tabs are also great for cleaning flower vases that you can't quite get to the bottom of to clean well.
I loved the hack for the grout! I have a hack that was a accident last week! My sister accidentally broke a nail polish on my wood floors, we used a Mr clean magic eraser!! Those are great for marker or scuffs on the wall as well(or anything, they're amazing!) Thanks for sharing!
@@lindabrown4992 Yep, people don’t realize it’s just really fine sandpaper - a friend actually rubbed a hole in her white leather sneakers trying to clean off the scuffs! And it’ll rub paint right off the wall or furniture if not used gently.
Love all the tips! Sometimes a simple little thing can make life so much easier. I have been using the toilet paper roll for cords for years, and yes, I cover them with sticky vinyl too. I love the nod to "put some windex on it" ;-) Thanks for sharing. One hack I recently saw was to use air dry clay in your taper candle sticks to make them the right size to hold the taper candles. I've used twisted masking tape in the past but this is better. Ciao!
My 90 year old mom taught me that way back when....haven't found anything better yet😂 When I was just married and my super clean and organized MIL was helping me bake she would always throw them away wondering what they were doing in the kitchen😄good thing there were plenty more where that came from
Totally impressed that your children have chores. So many do not anymore. I have a niece who picked up a toilet bowl brush and had NO CLUE what it was for. This happened at her BRIDAL SHOWER!!!!!!!
Just use the “Awesome” yellow spray from dollar store. Spray leave on for 5 minutes and wipe clean, looks like new again. So much more easier and faster!
I appreciate that you used things you already had. Your previous home was beautifully styled. Why not reuse? I love everything, especially the large artwork and iron work over the bedside tables . ❤
My hack is using cheap shaving cream to clean upholstery. My husband used to lay the Sunday paper on the light colored foot stool. I just use the shaving cream with a clean cloth and wiped it clean.
Use the “drill scrubber” on the tile 😆 when you are done with the cabinets. Windex is good, but alcohol will loosen sticky stuff and it won’t harm your carpet or cloth
OMG!!! My mother who passed last year has been doing the toilet paper roll hack for ever!! 🥰 She would even use contact paper and wrap cardboard boxes and make cute storage containers. 💗 😊
This was all very helpful. This is the first video of yours I’ve ever watched. Subscribed!!! I have the cleaning attachments for the drill and the only problem is that it flings soap and water everywhere!!! You have to set it on low speed so it doesn’t do that but it’s hard to control. I do use them on the grout though!!!
So those were all pretty cool I’ve seen a lot of them. On the magic marker or the sharpie anything but your carpet or fabric use the Windex or alcohol as you suggested but use a magic sponge and those blue ones by Mr. clean works great especially on walls.
I have been using Windex on the carpet in my vehicles for years! When I get a new car, I color test it first, but have had no issues. It get's out stubborn stains and leaves the carpet looking like it's been professionally cleaned.
@Dorcas Tackmeir I've used Windex on practically everything for years. Seat covers, headliners, visors, carpets, and that's just the car! You'll be amazed at the handy uses inside the home.
@@lauriepayseur5897 The links for everything I used is in the description box below the video and if you want to watch the full original video, I would highly recommend it.💕
I've started using drill brushes and drill pads (the velcro kind) on pretty much everything. My sink, my countertops, my silver. I bought an assortment of sponges, brushes and buffers on Ali and even did my brass the other day.
the hack with placing the wood within the wall to give support for the patch of sheet rock... there isn't always room for a hand to hold that support wood in place so if you put a screw in the center of the wood then that temporary screw can be used to slip the wood into the wall and then pull on the screw to hold the wood close to the back of the wall while screwing it securely from the front...once the 2 screws are in place back out the temporary screw and continue on.
Grout cleaner - Just buy a bottle of specific alkaline grout cleaner at the hardware store. The blue dye in toilet cleaner can stain lighter grout. Worked for Stanley Steemer for 7yrs and have seen people ruin light color floors/shower pans using colored cleaners or bright color shampoo. For permanent marker, if Windex doesn't work, use hand sanitizer that has ethanol/ethyl alcohol on the label. Different markers use different solvents, Sharpie specifically uses ethanol.
I knew about the painting the base color over tape when painting stripes, but I never thought about doing it with a stencil, but gosh does that make sense. I'll soon be stenciling the ceiling in our kitchen so this was perfect timing. Thank you so much NataLee!
@@gtattsUS I've painted strips in our Ladies' Parlor before so I can't believe I didn't think about that trick for stenciling. I'm so happy NataLee mentioned stencils in this video. It'll really make my job easier. Especially since I'll be working on a ceiling. This will keep me from having to do touch ups! It's going to be hard enough on my neck.
OMG What a good time I had watching this! I knew about most of these because, although I'm an artist and designer like you are, I went to art school and spent a lot of time waiting on tables, tending bar, and---cleaning houses! I didn't know about the hack using toilet cleaner to refresh grout. But surely you know the little drill attachments can be used for that , too. You are so thorough, and your work ethic is so amazing! Your artistic eye makes sure everything looks as good as new. Loved the decorated toilet roll. I store my extention cords that way too
This was one of the most informative videos! Thank you!! I have been doing the paint hack for years and it works like a charm. The extra step is so worth it. Back in 2007, I painted colored squares on an accent wall in my kitchen and have loved it for all these years (it's not for everyones taste, but it's uniqueness suits mine). Using the hack, I had no bleed through. We are currently in the midst of redecorating, so it will be covered up soon with wallpaper, but I sure enjoyed it all these years.
I love a good hack! You had so many awesome ones. My favorites were the toilet bowl grout cleaner and the brush to clean the cabinets! Thanks for sharing your tips!💕
I have a question. I saw on another comment that after cleaning the grout you then have to reseal the grout. Is that true? If so can you talk about that a little more? I have zero experience in that area.
Please stop recommending the toilet cleaner for grout hack. Tile experts/companies all advise not to do that. It damages the grout and tile over time. Unfortunately, this hack keeps popping up when it's not a good one. It may do a decent job bleaching out the stains, but it is very harsh and causes damage in the long run.
I used your hack with using the drill brushes to clean the cabinets and it was amazing. It still took a long time because we have so any cabinets, but imagine what it would have been like without them! I’d still be scrubbing! ~ Linda
Love all your hacks! 1st up on my list are the tiles & grout cleaning project!! #2 are my cabinets!!! Thank you so much for all your amazing hacks! You are so creative & you are helping so many of us!!! Keep up all your wonderful DIY’s and cleaning/remodeling!! Everything you do are so creative and so helpful!! Many thanks to you my friend!! 💖 You always have a friend in Texas, Terri (Many blessings to you!! )
Love love the lighting hack. We are doing a complete renovation of our basement family room, 3 piece bathroom and laundry room. This hack is going to floor my husband. He said I wouldn't be able to have the lighting I wanted. Oh yes I will. Thanks so much this video came to my rescue.
Wow!!! I can't believe how well that Lysol toilet bowl cleaner made the grout look brand new! Amazing!😁 Dollee is just so adorable! ❤ You asked previously how much my Razzle Dazzle ( My Cockapoo) weighed...he was just weighed on Tuesday. He weighs 16 1/2 lbs. He will not get any bigger than that. Well, between 16lbs. & 18 lbs. I love the hack for cleaning cabinets! Awesome! I will definitely going to try that!!! I have white cabinets...what cleaner did you use? As always, thank you for sharing your hacks with us! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family! 🙏❤🇺🇸😊
I also use Sharpies on my boots/shoes etc. Also if you are ever in a jam car interior detailer cleans and shines boots really well. Please be sure to test in inconspicuous area first but since your vehicle dash/console is vinyl and plastics it's safe for most materials in that area. It really makes them shine.
This was the best video!💕. I’ve used that same Conair defuzzer for years! Makes everything from clothes, sweaters, to furniture look new again! I’ll definitely will be trying the toilet roll trick and grout cleaner hack! 🇨🇦
I love all of these home hacks! My favorite is the painting stripes hack. Genius!!! Please don't apologize for your pet making an appearance in your videos. I love it when they photobomb videos 😆
Wow! Those brushes that attached to the drill! I followed the link and this looks like a great deal! Loads of brushes and many uses. Thank you! And by the way, these are all great hacks! The only one that I had seen before was the toilet cleaner for grout.
I love a good hack also. I just bought brushes similar to the ones you used to clean the cupboards. I used them on my microfiber living room chairs with rubbing alcohol to clean them. Worked like a charm.
Always love to learn about new hacks. Thank you! I loved the one about the grout. I plan on trying that. I used soap and water on mine when I did them but yours turned out amazing!
Forgot to add my hack when I asked about the paint. If you don’t have a stud finder, use a super strong magnet and run it up and down along the wall. The screws in the studs will be detected by the magnet.
After you locate any one of your studs, either by using a stud finder or any other method, you can simply measure 16” from that point (vertically of course), and your next stud should be exactly there, assuming your home was built to code. A 16” spacing for construction is a standard and code requirement. Good luck
All these hacks are fantastic, I love the toilet paper one and the drill for the cabinets, I hate my cabinets they are pine would and just q straight door and very very old, we rent so I have cleaned and scrubbed but they still look awful. I am going to paint them but I have to get them clean first, so hopefully this does the trick. Who ever lived here before never touched them. So thank you so much.
If you are going to paint, use Krud Kutter degreaser to clean you cabinets. You can clean with this product and then paint. No rinsing is needed. It is a powerful cleaner and will remove paint. So be careful what else you use it on. But cleaning wood cabinets to prepare for painting is a great use for Krud Kutter. You can get it at places like Home Depot.
I did some recently. Removed all the hardware (you can also tape it off.) Washed down first with Dawn and warm water. Rinsed well. Sanded lightly to give the primer something to adhere to. Used killz primer so the weird yellow wood stain wouldn't bleed through, then Behr chalk paint, I used two coats of white. Sealed with min wax poly acrylic (not the polyurethane.) Let everything dry for a day or two between coats and sanded between coats with 120 grade sandpaper as necessary to get rid of drips or obvious brush strokes. Came out great. Pro tip- keep all your removed hardware together in a gallon zip lock bag. Good luck!
the markers you use on furniture ect,I have an antique truck I drive and like Sally looking sharp . Her rubber surrounds on windows looked dull, but not in need of repair. I talked to my guy at the shop and I am not paying that yet! so I used a black magic marker ,months later still looks great!
There were some great hacks in this video. Plus I liked that almost all your product links were so well rated. Sometimes I click on links only to find 2.5 or 3 star ratings, which is quite frustrating. Will definitely be purchasing some of these, specifically the brush cleaning bundle and the fabric shaver. Thank you!
Oh wow!!! Moving (hopefully) soon into a home that has dan a disabled person in it for years. It's all fine, apart from the kitchen (tiled floors and walls from floor to ceiling) is in need of a REALLY good clean, so, thank you, I've just ordered the brush kit for the cupboards and possibly floor tiles too! Yay!!!!!!!
Hi Natalie, it looks amazing. I did the same to our bathroom shower tiles and gave my arms a workout but I found an even better way to save time and most of all your poor arms. I recently bought a 3pk of different brush attachments for my drill, I saw this on a RU-vid hack not long ago and thought gotta give this a go. Our local home centre Bunnings had them. I tried them out the other day and I can't tell you how amazing they turned out. Didn't scratch the tiles did them in half the time, grout has never looked so clean even my Hubby noticed and my arms didn't ache lol. I didn't use toilet cleaner just a shower and bathroom multi purpose cleaner. Loving your videos as always. Stay safe and blessed. Hugs from Australia xx
Great video, very different from what you usually do, loved it!! My favorite hacks are the toilet cleaner on the grout and how to hide cables using the toilet paper 🧻. Cool!!
In Terms of scrubbing the grout with toilet cleaner, mine is so strong, ist ruins the tile sealing. You might want to use the drill brushes you used to Clean your kitchen cabinets. Im pretty sure that would make cleaning much easier. By the way, I am watching your Videos in Germany. Thank you for all your great videos and showing us women that Powertools make life a lot easier.
Another Sharpie hack: Fix chipped dishes with a closely matching colored Sharpie. This is best for decorative items but also works on everyday dishes, you just need to refresh it often. Just don't use it where food touches it but chips are usually in the rim so you should be safe. (ps, I designed and painted dinnerware for 30 years...this works! We had customers calling all the time for replacements of their one-of-a-kind piece which were not available!)
Even used Milliput? It is two part epoxy clay great for repairing chipped porcelain and ceramics. You can shape it, mold it, add water to thin it. It dries like stone, even underwater, then can be sanded, painted, drilled. Fixes chipped sinks, tubs, tiles, and ceramic cook tops too. Love the stuff. Some guy successfully plugged his boat with it in a storm out in the middle of the Atlantic.
I love all of these. #4 , the wall stripes, I have been doing for at least 20 years. It is my favorite of all time, because I paint a lot. I tell everyone to do this and I'm so happy you did this one. I will have less people to tell now. Thank you for your great ideas always.
I’ve been doing this on furniture wood clocks cabinets dressers mirrors picture frames you name it for decades. Magic marker sharpie to cover up things and furniture and it works Amazingly well! Great hack! My fave besides the toilet bowl cleaner on tile grouted floors, I’ve been using this for decades as well! It also works great in porcelain sinks! Seriously better than a bleach cleaner. 💥
I had to laugh when you showed the toilet roll for chords. A year ago I did the same thing and guess what? I used the very same contact paper! Yup, we're twins.
Hi Natalee, I’m catching up missed episodes & am so thankful. I hope to use your ideas to update my great room. It has a corner fireplace which = wasted space. Plans are to demo it & build a wall w/ship lap, storage n shelving as you did incorporating it well, llllthere since it’s not a wood burning unit. My favorite hack regarding attaining correcting wood nicks to look new is to use several correcting pens in the same family(cool or warm generally) mixing small famous til desired then I’ll Elise them etc y cecrsiev
I do my iron cord, just like you, roll it and stick it through the handle. 😂 Thank you, for making a mess, on some of these, and, then, cleaning them for us. 😊
Awesomeness, interesting Hacks demonstrated here and I will definitely incorporate a couple, particularly the cabinet superwash/polish, and the sharpie be-gone. One hack I learned eons ago is for heavy greasy caked on gunk in pans is to use a dryer sheet w/a squirt of dish liquid and warm water and let it soak for a few hours or overnight. This will loosen up everything making it a breeze to wash. I buy them unscented from the Dollar store solely for this purpose. Ty 4 these amazing tips. Btw, you have an amazingly lovely abode, and I'm already a die-hard fan of the adorable Dolly.😉💙👍🏿
Hello from Scotland. I have just found your channel and I love your tips so I have become one of your many subs. The tip I'd like to leave for you is one my dear old grannie passed to me.....................always add a splash (tablespoonful) of milk to the water that you're boiling your cauliflower in. The cauliflower will always remain looking all nice and creamy-white in colour. It never fails.
Hi. Thank you for all the great hacks. They were fantastic! You forgot to mention though, that you will need to knock down with a putty knife (lightly smooth over) the orange peel texture after it is about 3/4 of way dry. This flattens out the little (or large) bumps of spray and it then blends into the rest of the orange peel. Also for cleaning grout, I buy a large bundle of magic erasers (knock off brand on Amzon with good reviews) for cleaning grout. They work well.
Your hack about the grout was mind blowing, I love it. I accidentally discovered it before but totally forgot about it until you brought it to light! I love, love hacks and your shows. God bless Natalie
Have you ever visited Top Drawer in College Park? It's one of my favorites to get great buys. Top Drawer is always on my to do list when I go home to Florida.
U read my mind!! I was literally looking for a “shaver” for the couch. You are the best LOVE all these hacks!! I recently seen somebody doing your paint hack and thought Hey, that’s NataLee’s hack 😀I will definitely be trying that when I paint next!! As always another awesome video. 🦋♥️And I just LOOOOVE DOLLY!! 🐶 I want to give her a hug! So cute!
don't press hard when using the shaver. It will eat holes in the fabric and if there is a pulled thread the shaver will catch it and make "runs" in your fabric - I made this mistake - if you are careful the shaver works fantastic - it will take a pilley sweat shirt and make it look brand new.
Ok, I did the grout painting trick about two years ago and it has held up. I used the toilet bowl cleaner, professional cleaners, everything short of replacing the grout and nothing worked. I have over scrubbed the painted grout in one area under my son’s high chair but all I had to do was touch up the paint with the grout pen I keep in my kitchen. I am so happy with the grout pen that I’m not going to bother regrouping my kitchen. I think in order to make the grout pen more effective you need to really clean it first so that no oils or residue stop the paint from sticking, no different that painting any other surface.
