Chase Elliot is not God. In fact he's on the bottom of my list of drivers, gets away with murder. The fact Elliot called Logano out reinforces that. Joey is clearly a giver, I love that.
I wouldn't say he gets away with murder as he got hit with a one race suspension last season. Hes a good driver so he isn't coasting on just having Elliott as a last name. I put him in my top 5 but not the best driver on the grid.
I think the reason other drivers don't like him is that he don't take any crap off of them on the track or he is beating them on the track. If they get the handling down on his car, he is tough to beat. and he is getting much better at driving an ill handling car.
Just don’t understand the hate……. He has never shown himself to be a brat like some of the other drivers( Bush bros.). Seems like a good guy. Sure he has started some rashes on the track, but then, who hasen’t ?
Chace you are my favorite drive even though I love Joey and I don't like for you to put him down every one makes mistakes as you very well know so don't make yourself look bad my these statements about Joey after all there's always someone who can and will say the same about you.😢
Joey is definitely my favorite Nascar driver. He seems to be such a nice guy and I'm sure he really is in real life. I like that he's not mouthy or arrogant like some of the other drivers. He's no. 1 in my book.
I get that the drivers see each other week after week all across the country including in the motorhome lot, NASCAR meetings, and MRO Chapel services, if they go, and that lends many of those involved in the industry to believe they all need to be one big happy family of a traveling road show. ...but I'm from the racing side that says that being truly competitive even to the point above all else, is what the fans actually expect to see when they come to the track. A driver or team doesn't need to be nasty or continuously rude or pull dirty stunts, but your first job at the track is not to make friends. It's to win races. If you can make a friend along the way while being a full fledged hard charging racer, then so be it, but I suggest you make your friends at home on your "off" days. Join a rich guys boating club! Join a men's church group and show up when you can. If that's not your life, make friends that golf and golf when you are home or go on trips with these friends and golf.
Went he first came on the Sean the other drivers ran all over him . Tony told him he had to quit taking there crap and push back and he has and now they bitch about it . He had said he can be your friend off the track but not on the track . You mess with the bull you will get the horns.
