Depends. If I go to play hockey or basketball where I have to change my footwear and I’m not really trying to look good, then I’ll wear crocs. But they’re a utility item, not a style choice.
Been subscribed to you since 2019 and haven't looked back. I've said it before, and I'll say it again- Your channel is top quality. For grown-ups. For straight facts. I've learnt many things as a man from your videos about mind and fashion.
Im in a wheelchair. So, I wear one that says, "It was a bear!" So, if anyone asks why Im in a chair, I just point to the shirt. Plus I have one with a handicapped parking sign. "Just in it for the parking." If I cant laugh at myself, you cant either.
yeah but stay away from white socks and slides, only black socks with athletic slides and only for running to the store or chillin around the house, never for going out
@@Alsidethehero LOL 😂 on the crusty toes! However, men can and should get pedicures…this definitely shows self care is priority on their list..self care and self grooming tips are definitely NOT just for women! I love a well groomed, sensual smelling man!!!
Bro, the moment you mentioned footwear I said, "Crocs". 😂 I do wear Crocs when I need to make a trip to Wally World or outside chopping it up with my neighbor, but I leave then home when I'm kicking it with my lady.
Jeff, you are FUNNY AS HELL! Well, since I'm one of the 8 women (🤣🤣🤣), I have to say, that men that wear distressed jeans just need to wear them CORRECTLY and paired with a nice shirt. It could be a nice, basic tee with NO graphics or a button-down. Everything else you've mentioned is good! Much love, Sir! 💖💖💖
Wear whatever you want, don’t lose who you are trying to win someone over. In most cases it’s already been made very clear that no matter what you wear you will always be invisible to them
I hear you friend, while a lot of us men are invisible, for some reason they really notice as they pass by, and passing judgment on our outfit choices. They can't help it.
Its like fishing ... You need to match the hatch ... Some Kno what that means others might not .. meaning dress accordingly to what's seen in your area at the time of .. don't over do it .. don't under do it .. but if you really wanna see what women wear .. go to the grocery store.. your find yoga work out pants. No makeup .. work out gear and makeup .. very casual to some upscale .. also age your going for .. plus look what fashion is in your area at your local department stores .. now make your own twist on new gear and what you have .. or add to your arsenal!! Keep your style but have options . Women don't like a man to look better then them or you find the ones that will just simply submit lol .. so mix it and find what works for you in your area. This guy is good on what he says and keeps up with trends for a mid age guy too. Anybody 18-29 do you lol. Anybody 30+50 listen lol
I wear the cargo shorts when appropriate. Grabbing a coffee on a weekend morning or just hanging at the house. If you do wear them make sure it's with a good fitting t-shirt and clean tennis shoes.
I never and I mean ever wear sandals or slides in public, ever. If I’m in public my head is always on swivel. If I need to go into fight or flight mode I can’t do it with sandals or slides. Major tactical disadvantage
I was in a men's clothing store and it was prom season. There was a young man who thought he should wear his suit like Shannon Sharpe. Neither the salesman, his mom or a few of us other men could convince him to get a suit that fits.
Great advice, Jeff. So based on your recommendations, the best choice for a first date are 15 sprays of Eros, a baggy Comic-Con t-shirt, beige cargo shorts with Velcro pockets, and bright green crocs with knee high white gym socks? Got it 👍!
Good Morning, brother. I love that Cardigan Varsity Sweater. What brand is it?

Great information. Would like to see thoughts on tall men dress. Keep up the good work. Instead of jus leaving this information in the barbershop lets make positive conversation go viral. 💯
Hey Jeff. A lot a good recommendations to follow. On the shoes for summer. Another suggestion are the dress fabric by Madden. Look good with a touch of leather but similar to a suede or leather Vans.
I liked your suggestions. I especially liked the over bearing cologne!! Colognes and perfumes have categories..spring/summer, fall/winter, or all year round..I just think when purchasing such items..both men/women should take this tip into account. Keep coming with the great vids!!!❤❤❤
Youngn here. I generally wear socks with sandals because I have really sweaty feet. I tend to sweat more on my feet than anywhere else. But if I am at the beach or a pool, I don't wear socks with sandals.
I concur with everything accept the Cologne. I wear my signature sents sprayed up “ and the ladies love my cologne!!!!” That was a quote from Freddy on in living color.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
slacking jeans is the most embarrassing piece of garment ever "Thank you " for the mention along with the sandal and socks plus too much cologne you hit the nail on the head outstanding comment.
I agree and I know this is about clothes but I would like to add unkept facial hair (keep it clean, brushed, and moisturized). Using your hair brush in public (I don’t like waves on grown men, probably just a me thing 😂). Overdoing sports merch, with the exception of attending the game. A belt thats too long. If you’re into flashy labels (I’m not a fan) if in view the logos should match, don’t mix brands.
It isn't mentioned but what is generally unattractive: no-sleeves shirts. First of all, no sleeves shirts are athleisure pieces. If your arms do not show you've been in the gym regularly (either too skinny or too much fat), it isn't going to impress the ladies. But if you're a muscular guy, it is unappealing as well. It is too try hard, too arrogant. But worse: guys who approach women with their big bicepses showing, give an aggressive, even threatening, look. As mentioned, subtly is the key and any short-sleeved shirt shows enough muscle without overdoing it. Second reason is that many no sleeves shirts lean into the street style, with a length that makes you look like you're wearing a skirt, a baggy fit that can fit the garbage of the month and graphics that come over as immature and juvenile. The greatest style sin is that the ladies think you don't have the means to buy proper clothing, nor will you have the means to provide for them. Poor aesthetic is just poverty, no woman finds that attractive. The absolute worst thing is a no sleeves undershirt in the open. It gives a sloppy Onslow vibe.
The beads!! Never understood all these with a wrist full of them. It looks. IMO, like their trying to come off as "spiritual" or deep and trying to impress those women who are truly bohemian.
I agree with too many accessories, AKA excessive jewelry. I see this a lot on younger guys. I wear my watch on my left wrist, and my Cruzan Hook Bracelet on my right. That's it. Not married, so no ring, never been a ring guy. For whatever reason, get a lot of compliments on the bracelet, even though it's fairly plain and simple. Good advice from you as always. Salute!
I can't disagree, all the things you spoke about are a drag on any man trying to improve his personal style and grooming habits, the only thing I can think of that I would add to your list is "cut-off" blue jeans shorts, thank you for sharing!
Great video OG! Ever since I’ve been subscribed to your channel I’ve used it as the “yard stick” for my style choices. My wardrobe has matured a lot since then. Keep up the great work!
Hi Jeff, clothes got to fit .. for comfort. Guys need to bring those items to a seamstress or tailor, Think some guys don't dress well because their clothes don't look good, and aren't comfortable.
Woman here- I don’t find the mentioned items objectionable, and my guess is that the guys who wear them could care less what these particular women think, since it likely comes down to a lifestyle choice. The ladies whose opinions were considered in this poll, sound like very urban types who don’t do DIY anything. For those who work with their hands, making & fixing stuff, many of the mentioned wardrobe items make it conducive to carrying out that work. Personally, I don’t care if a guy is always casual, as long as he has a good eye for aesthetics. This list just sounds like it considered women who want dressy men, or dandies. There’s a time & place for everything, including socks with slides. It may not be stylish, but what if you need the extra warmth, but don’t want your feet trapped inside of shoes? And if you’re leaving your home, where you’d be wearing slippers instead, you just swap them with slides to run errands or whatever.
I agree with this entire list. However, I do have one minor critique. I think it’s important to emphasize what type of woman is turned off by these types of things. As a black man who unfortunately still lives in the inner city, I can tell you that there are a lot of women who like guys who wear a lot of the things on this list.
Great video Jeff Men would stop wearing the sagging jeans showing their underwear if they knew where it originated; in prison. It showed other inmates that they were available. As far as short sleeve dress shirts go i agree, definitely don't wear a short sleeve shirt with a tie.
I like cargo shorts for practicality. I’ve never been into buying ripped jeans and saggy jeans with my underwear showing. 👎🏾. I have sliders but I only wear them indoors and at a beach. I’ve stopped wearing t-shirts with logos and slogans. Thanks for the tips. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a nice lady with this advice. Salute 🫡👍🏾
I must somewhat disagree. Cargo Shorts and crocks were awesome when I had my boat. Crocks were comfortable and waterproof. The shorts held pliers, fishing licenses and other stuff. In Florida cargo shorts are everywhere.
Whenever I see a guy in crocs I assume he’s in a monogamous relationship and content because thats an obvious sign that he’s not actively looking for women
@@Marsquest-rq8kp if you like it we love it bro lol. But maybe just maybe wear some comfy sneakers instead whenever you feel like wearing crocs. Your wife would probably like it too
I can’t think of a use case for a grown man to wear crocs. Even flip flops and slides can be appropriate - At the beach or In the locker room (only). But never crocs
I refuse to agree that cargo shorts are dead however(true story) Last year I skipped wearing them in the summer bcuz they were too hot...then I skipped wearing them in the fall because they weren't warm enough...so its too hot for them again right now and they are already three years old. They aren't dead...I'm keeping them on life support LOL
A lot of teenagers and 20 something's need to see this video, can't tell how many times i've seen them literally at the gym in their pajamas and crocs looking like they just rolled out of bed. My policy for walking out of the house in the morning is always pretending you're going to run into someone famous or your crush. Even if you're in a t-shirt and shorts, look like you tried and your clothes are serviceable.
@TheStyleOG We all have our own personal style. I think he just disagrees with that point, I also enjoy wearing cargo shorts because they are comfortable. Keep up the good work OG.
@@Trashman702 I still think it's a good look to pull off if you have strong looking forearms (preferably without tattoos to undermine the refined look) 😃
Hate seeing grown men in croc's and slides with socks. Just my opinion. But I admit I still rock my Polo cargo shorts. I'm 58 been married over 30 years and the wife approves 😂
Right on about 60% of the items and those were the obvious ones. I think you're basing this on some older, less hip women. I think you need to put an age limit for the women you are referring to
I said this to the young boys in the hood and it made them think. If you have to get up and run for whatever reason the pants hanging off your butt is going to stop you from doing that.
