- The automatic doors are the star of the show in 7 series - The crystal nob is working as track pad to write letters - The massive screen in 7 series is mind blowing - The haptic feedback in breaking paddle for emergency situations - The app can take photos of car interior and exterior while you are miles away.
True, still good to know that the vehicle has the capability. I actually do use the Hello BMW voice command and have it change the temp more often than physically doing it. Comes down to the individual I would say.
Do you know how to program the garage door opener if it has a rolling code and you can’t access the learn button on the main box (in insistence of an apartment building garage gate)? Thanks always appreciate your content
Only other way would be with a garage door remote control, if you have one you can click and hold the button on the remote and on the mirror at the same time and let it sync, we have a video on the channel for it if you search "garage door" Other than that I believe that's the only way, you could try asking the apartment complex to see if they have an additional way to access the learn button.
Thank you for the video and for showing me these neat tricks. I'm eagerly anticipating my new BMW in 2024. The tips and tricks you shared will undoubtedly enhance the comfort and ease of driving. While some of the features you mentioned already exist, others you highlighted will surely elevate the driving experience in my new vehicle. Once again, thank you very much for the insightful video.
Hi I really LOVE your videos. You have been a lifesaver for me. I literally took delivery of my brand new 2025 X5 on Aug 5th. Do you know if digital key plus will be available with android? was told by genius at dealer that currently only Iphone.
Digital key plus should be available for android as well. The best way to confirm this would be as soon as you get the vehicle connected to your My BMW app you’ll see on the front screen in the blue box saying set up digital plus the last time I checked, it was compatible. I just think that you have a galaxy fold phone it Will not compatible
Thanks for the video! I really want a new x5, but dealer is crap.. renting one in Toronto when I go in a couple months. Do I’ll be able to amaze myself with all the features, thanks to your vids :)
Great video. Thanks. Question - does the 2024 BMW X5 have easy entry/exit feature (where the driver's seat goes back a few inches when driver's door is opened)?
The only vehicle I know that has this is going to be the new 7 series. The X5 will adjust the steering wheel but I do not believe it will be moving the seat at this time.
@@BeamerViewI took delivery of a 2024 X2 and it does have the seat motion for getting in and out. It is in the app menu under the seating icon and is labeled as comfort entry. The X2 only has a manual wheel adjustment so the wheel does not also move.
I haven't heard of them doing so, I would think it would void a privacy law if they did. There is a few different settings you can disable in the data privacy menu item.
I have digital key on my 2022 320i M Sport. What does the hidden button do on the far right of the volume / hazard lights strip in the middle of the dashboard.
No, there is one hidden right at the end without a label to the right. I understand and see the front and rear defrosters, though there seams to be one without a label, furthest right of the strip.@@BeamerView
Oh I see you may have a right side steer vehicle. If its a blank button with nothing on it, it most likely is the temperature sensor for the cabin, it doesn't do anything aside from reading the temperature.
Yes its RH Drive Australian delivered vehicle and the temp sensor is on the left. This is on the right and although no decal to advise what the button does, it clearly works as you can feel the momentary button behind it. It feels exactly the same as when you use either demister or hazard lights.@@BeamerView
Thanks for the great video. I have a 2024 X5, and am disappointed that you can’t just touch the rear door and have it unlock. You have to hit unlock inside the drivers door. I have it set up to only unlock drivers door, when car comes to stop and ignition is then turned off, for safety reasons. Is there so thing that I am missing? You mentioned that you can unlock the other doors by just touching them?
You could set the setting to ALL DOORS and it'll unlock the trunk as well when you unlock the vehicle, but I do believe even though you have it set to the DRIVER DOOR only, if you go to the trunk with the key fob in the pocket you should still be able to unlock the trunk even though it's locked.
Thanks BeamerView for the reply. Yes, I believe you can unlock the trunk/hatch, but you can’t unlock the back doors just by touch. The back handles don’t have the ridges to touch to open, like the front one does. I was disappointed bec my 2013 Mercedes ML had it, so I thought for sure a new BMW would have it! 😄
I get tired of explaining to people that bimmers are cars, beamers are motorcycles. They get tired of me explaining it😮. The same people also roll their eyes when I tell them Porsche is pronounced “porshah”, not “porsh”.😅
@@BeamerView wrong! You still have to tap steering wheel to when alert arises. I been a BMW driver for 9 yrs now with 3 different BMWS. The latest a 2024 x6 ! I have the assisted drive plus and highway package and after a certain distance you still have to touch the steering wheel. If you don’t believe then go out and video it and let me know how it turned out!
I just ordered the 2024 m340 - how is the adaptive cruise for highway drives and how is the traffic jam assistant? and how is the parking assistant lol? I got all packages
@@raulshah I find the adaptive cruise really good , but the traffic jam assistant not as practical unless in really bad traffic for a long time, you still need your hands on the steering wheel every few seconds..
Thank you SO much for the reply. Is it possible to just rest your knee on the wheel during adaptive cruise so you can be hands free but obviously watching the road? Is that practical? @@2Greenlid
Best way esp with the newer vehicles is to check the window sticker to see if it has drivers assistance professional. That or when you are using the feature, try testing the MODE button on set of buttons there, if it has it it'll be controlled through that button.
@@dd-dd2coI’m not sure about the app. I’m talking in the car. 7 is easier to use, has physical buttons for the 8 hot buttons and climate control. Has physical buttons for the headlight control and for the dynamic cruise control distance. It just makes more sense. 8 and 8.5 are more gimmicky and put lots of stuff in the screen that shouldn’t be. And maneuvering around is not as easy as 7.
