FV 4005 actually inspired me to coin a new term. Giggle Damage noun: An amount of damage that when inflicted on enemies in a video game causes compulsive laughter or giggling.
Before, HE calculated damage based on the thinnest armor close to the shell impact, which is why you could do massive damage by shooting under tanks or shooting their turret because the HE would find the soft turret roof, hull roof or hull floor. Now, it only calculates damage basee on the point of shell impact, so if your shell cant pen, it does 0 damage.
@@pleaseenteranamelol711 That's so stupid lmaoo. I mean, it was a common tactic to shoot HE at hulldown tanks to prevent them from sitting in 1 spot for the entire game. And now you can't do that anymore?? wow
@@mrmustache8735 As long as you hit an actual armor plate and not a thick gun mantlet or glance off just the tracks or any form of spaced armor without hitting actually armor HE is guaranteed to do damage. It won't be about 100-200 per shot like it used to be unless you aim for weaker armor locations like the turret ring or commander's hatch on hull down vehicles. HE can pen *through* a gun if aimed well enough, and enter the vehicle. HE is better, even though it's more unrealistic.
Keep the current mechanics on british tanks and tanks with hesh squash ammo type... Revert everything else HE mechanics back.. Kv2 derp tanks panther derp etc.
this video is satisfying and shit but tells NOTHING about HE rework like cmon bro clips before and after dont differ at all, would love to see how you sarcastically type "nerf" after comparing shooting something armored without penetration. Dude you really showed 0 splash shots while comparing splash difference...
