Agassi said long time ago ,long time ago.......if anybody deserve to be called the goat that player have to be RAFA Nadal, by that time I agreed 100%. By now everybody should be in the same page, because he is the best!.
Incredible player and while most of his success is obviously on Clay courts, he's actually been more successful on Hard courts and Grass courts than people say he is. He has 92 winning percentage on Clay (445-40) and a 78 winning percentage on both Hard and Grass (486-138 and 71-20, respectively). Sure, he's lost 8 Grand Slam finals outside of Clay, but has also won 7 not on his favorite surface.
Absolutely unbelievable! Not just the actual shots, but how far he travels to get to them. Sometimes he's way over the other side of the court, but he gets across and he's at full stretch, but they're so accurate. Most players wouldn't even get there, never mind hit a winner. At the risk of being repetitive, ¡VAMOS RAFA! 😍🎾
Rafa's forehand is somehow one of the greatest shots of all time, and one of the most underrated of all time. People talk about his champion mentality and undying will..well, I'd say second to all that was his ability to dictate with his forehand with both spin/height and ability to flatten the shot on command.
Rafa is so stratospheric, he exudes a kind of bestiality, he's unique, his gestures, his movements, the way he takes the ball.... You just gotta love tennis with him.
Best footwork , best smash , best forehand , probably top2 best 2 handed backhand and one if not the fastest player on court ever with the best defense , I don't care what anybody says he is a Goat along with Djokovic and Federer
If we remove Clay the Guy has 8 titles and 8 runners Up, only behind Federer, Nole and Sampras. This is enough to be legendary. Plus he has competed very hardly both on grass and hard court against number 1 and 2. Of course he's an all rounder, only far to good on Clay. Plus he is leading the GS race even when there are two hard court GS against one in Clay and grass (If hardcourts werent overrepresented there would be no GOAT discussion at all). 1 Nadal 22 (19 if HC/2) 2 RF 20 (15) 3 ND 20 (14) 4 Sampras 14 (11) 5 BB 11 (11).
