With all due respect please remove these types of one sided misinterpretation from your mind. Coming directly to the point: 1) An Armed forces officer from the Army, Navy & Air force, always leads from the front. 2) They are always the pillars of jawans. 3) When bullets are flying they are those who take the very first bullet in their chest because they're commanding or leading the platoon Or section. 4) Which generally consists of 10-30 soldiers strength. 5) Jawans and their family life is fully dependent on the officer's decision ( while in the battlefield eg. War Or internal conflicts). One wrong Or unpredictable move can lead to the very worst situation. 6) Officers have to be very practical, logical and analytical with their decisions. 7) Out of lakhs of defence aspirants only 600-800 officers made it to the academies i.e IMA, OTA, AFA & INA annually after getting recommended by the service selection board as SSB whose recommendation success rate 2.89%. 8) And talking about the Kargil war we as a nation lost 500-600 great souls in the 2.5 months intense war but you know martyrdom amount is very less because in wars the country loses thousands of soldiers sometimes lakhs depending on the duration of the war eg. USA & afganistan, Russia Ukraine. 9) When the Russia Ukraine war started within the 2 months, the death toll of the soldiers of russia boomed between 12,000 to 14,850 thousands of lives lost and till date the numbers has crossed 1,07,790. 10) This shows the poor leadership and poor co-ordination among them. 11) And because of officers of the Indian armed forces the family of jawans mostly, can sleep peacefully at night believing that my husband, brother,son or father is in good command and the officer would save Jawan in any case. 12) Kargil war is one of the greatest and will be the greatest example of leadership of officers whose speed of decisions and practicality saves the thousands of soldiers lives. 13) You're totally wrong that Jawans don't get prioritized they get priority,care and respect. 14) My father who served in the Indian Air force in the GDOC branch for 21 yrs, he used to talk about the generosity and officers behaviours towards soldiers and how maximum time they sacrifice themselves because of our (jaawan) safety. 15) Even My paternal uncle (Chacha) who served in the Indian Army for 25 yrs and retired as Subedar of Grenadiers of 22nd battalion and he used to tell the same and even once he said that during attache with RR for Counterinsurgency Op. somewhere in baramulla dist. of kashmir during summer of 2003, he then told that how he's 2 IC rank ex.from 2nd lieutenant (this rank is not in service now but it was that time) to captain (2nd in command officer laid down his life for his section) and as far as I remember he told that he heard from that officers section Or platoon, soldier saying that "tum log pehle attack nahi karoge, pehle mujhe jaane do safety ensure karne do" who knows that this could be the last words coming from the officer's mouth (Don't know the officer's name) and he may be posthumously might have been awarded shaurya chakra for his gallant act and leadership. Finally, officers and jawans are all equal in terms of respect, dignity and selflessness but we have to accept that one decision of an officer decides the future of soldiers and his families. A real life example is my father and chacha's experience. So, please stop believing manipulated talks by anyone out there regarding the forces officers, jawans and its functioning. Be practical and factual always. Don't trust anything one sided remember "har seekke ke 2 pehlu hote hai" ek woh jo khud fauji and unki families jaanti hai and ek woh jo media, politician, scholars or any influential people jo bina kisi sirr pairr ke ye sab baat failaate hai because they haven't seen the on ground reality of the officer's, soldiers and their families life, but only the defence families and childrens know the inner world. @@Rounak140 I can understand, but you and we must accept the fact that every organisation in this world have rotten apples ( you know what I mean) but it doesn't mean that coz of one or some rotten apples we start blaming the whole organisation. For eg. if any officer is misusing his/her power to Jawans for their personal agendas. Then I, My father and my chacha ji will also say that it is against the military ethos and it lacks leadership but because of these types of acts by some, cannot degrade the organisation. Considering my example I'm currently a executive consultant in the reliance group in Hyderabad and I've seen many HRs specially, taking advantage of newly joined interns Or freshers for their well-being, even some interns also told me that HR is saying " jitna mera kaam karoge utna he tumhare chances hai iss company mein lagne ke and decent package ke, kyuki mere paas authority hai tum log ko disciplinary ground pe company se black list karne ke liye" so now whome we should blame the Ambani, the reliance group, the CEO'S, the MDs, the Execu Manager's Or Supporting staff. Because the culprit is clearly that individual that HR. So, yaa it is just like that and I totally agree with your point.
