one thing you have to understand, the high fps fix has existed for over a year now, my load times have been going significantly faster for the last year without issue, now that other mod might make them much faster is what i'm thinking, but again this faster load time tweak has been out for a while now, it first started in skyrim and then a modder for FO4 wanted to use the same mod for FO4 in which he got permission and now both games have much faster load times. it can be a bit of a difficult install process though if your a noob it can be a bit of a tough cookie to figure out.
@@TopLob i think it will be good, but perhaps maybe not at launch, it seems these days everything that comes out at launch is severely flawed, but with time they can improve.
Fallout 4, the game that keeps on giving. Everyone thought 76 was the end of Fallout content in social media. Then everyone was convinced Starfield would monopolize screen time... but no one cared about it.
High FPS Fix - is recommended. Shadow Boost - is a must. Warning -long loading times fix has a buggy history of liquefying certain texture mods. For some pc players this is not a problem. I don’t have a problem as I stopped using it. The loading times are a huge boost. Enb Vogue- it’s ok it can put a dull sheen over some locations but it does look better for the most part. My recommendations are Ghost (lightweight) or Reactor (hard on graphics card) Fusion is also good Remnants for a darker look Direct hit - Good dependent on whatever overhauls are included, but I use it. Kill tips & hit indicator sound. - Most audio mods are a waste, however as mentioned the bulletin time effects are quite good, I do not use kill cam mods personally - combat should never be slow unless fighting with bread sticks. Wars - Good little mod, but there’s so many other options in the over saturated weaponry category. But try this out I don’t use this. Peace - Worth a look, not important but nice and quirky. Ai mods or combat mods never really give you that definitive combat overhaul experience unless they’re scripted and too many scripted mods will mess up your game. Whispering Hills - recommend if you want to do a Halloween theme play through, as long as you’re ok with fog and a not so silent hill. I loved it with the lights off and the sound up. America Rising 2 - Definitely recommend as a separate play through, remember to build your mod list around this mod. I always choose a huge overhaul/quest mod as a base and work around it. Currently using CSEP commonwealth killer, Welcome to good neighbor, Tales from the commonwealth, WRVR companion and radio station, Galaxy news radio The Path off A psycho, Vault 83 The Librarian, Nordic Europa research Facility, Vault 28 The absent ghoul, Cannibal in Concord,The Bus Home Quest mod, The Fens Sheriff's Department - Bleachers 2, The Code, Fourville, Radighoul, The Machine and Her and Finally 50 ways to Die at Dr Nicks. My mod list is based around adding quests and making the game longer. Mods lists using Wabbajack such as Life in ruins- As long as you don’t mind having the joy of making your own mod lists removed Wabbajack is quite useful. Though I make my own mods and lists. I’ve used Wabbajack on occasion. Definitely worth trying out
Amazing suggestion with the Reactor ENB, thanks for putting me on. The magazine mechanic from Wars has also been a HUGE must for me after playing the Stalker series, interesting to see the opposite end of that.
When i did test out long loading times fix i started to get brown face glitch all the time also my game did crash more often then. So yeah loading times was faster but i raither take bit longer loading times and less problems.
What combat overhaul would you recommend/use to avoid bullet sponges and a more fast paced combat? I am also searching a mod to make loot, ammo, meds much more rare?
Does Pc have more than 2? I use to play hella on Xbox but stopped coz I loved mods but wasn’t worth the crashing all the time but I got a good laptop now and redownloaded it
@@jessejones7144 not sure if this is a trick question, but yeah. On PC, mod storage isn't an issue,it has unlimited mod space, just as long as your PC can handle it and you have space for it. I'm not a PC guy,so I don't know all the details.
I recently installed Sim Settlements. I played the original back in 2017 or something but they have completely rebuild the mod multiple times and have fully voiced quests (with good quality audio). I'm about 70 hours in and I have barely done any other quests! I've been managing my settlements and doing the Sim Settlements main quest non-stop. Just when you think you have done all of the content, you'll be introduced to new content!
Remember the rule for Bethesda games on steam, turn off auto update (set the setting to 'only update this game when i launch it' from updates in the setting menu when you right click your game and click properties) and launch the game only through the script extender. only update when all the mods you use has updated. If you ignore this advice and your game breaks from an update, you only got yourself to blame, not anyone else.
@@dps1689Yeah everytime I turn on my PS5 it's hard not clicking on Helldivers thinking I'll play for a bit then play a different game but 3 hours later I'm still having a blast in Helldivers. Its pretty addictive imo.
@@Gas_Station_Tampons Is that supposed to be an insult towards someone you assumed was black? Also, what does "dat" have to do with black culture? I see it as a quicker way of typing "that" .
i love fallout 4. I just started playing this again in VR and man it feels great after a few (dozens) mods. I also just jumped back into 76 and it feels so much better than it did when it first launched
@@ItsBLADE42 Honestly feels like Bethesda did that on purpose. With the amount of content in the update and initial announcement of the update (pretty sure it was a couple of years ago), it could have been released a year ago and have most of the bugs fixed by now. There is also no way that Bethesda didn't know that the update would break every single mod. If they had released it earlier that would have given the mod devs time to update their mods, especially F4SE which almost every mod relies on. The timing of the release of the update also feels too coincidental, especially when FOLON has stated that they've tried reaching out to Bethesda multiple times throughout development of the mod to no avail. Imagine if FOLON got the same support that the Enderal devs got with Skyrim, i can only think that maybe Bethesda has plans for the UK in the Fallout universe but with Todd Howard having said they have no plans to leave the US setting in Fallout only confusion and suspicion remains.
the greatest mod combo i had working until something bugged out was sim settlements 2 america rising 2 outcasts and remnants Project Valkyrie a bunch of good weapon and ammo mods cant remember which and also one where you could fully take control of the institute with other factions with a bit of editing it was possible to pretty much unite all the factions which made the new end game with sim settlements 2 even more insane
> faster load speed THIS IS THE ONLY MOD I'VE EVER NEEDED! People thought I was mad for hoping it would come with FO4 next gen, but who's mad NOW!? Ahahahaha!
So surprised that none of these mod list videos have Sim Settlements 2. One of the best mods I've played and man it's story is so much more compelling especially for a Minuteman focused playthrough.
I can't help noting that the Triggermen adopting that Chicago Gangster aesthetic makes a lot more sense in WARS. Much like the real deal in Prohibition, they end up with ungodly amounts of ammo.
Wars should really implement the style that most realistic magazine management systems do in gaming, which is a choice between a slower reload with a kept magazine, or an emergency one that drops the mag on the ground. Having every reload drop the mag sounds tedious, while the other gives a nice balance of risk reward.
I'm glad Whispering Hills got a highlight. It's pretty much my favorite mod for this game and of course im a huge silent hill fan. I combo it with DECAY for the ghouls and terrifyer for sounds they male. I also use SKK open worlds and some weapon mods to create an open world horror survival game. I'm anticipating for episode 5.
@warzonebill9855 i finally upgraded recently, and im on nexus getting all the best mods crazy though most of what i got i have on xbox just has more to them on nexus version. Sim settlement was something i always wanted to try but did not have room for it on my console with all my other mods i like to run. Now i have that and so much more on pc
A warning for PS4 players here ! If you have got Fallout 4 already installed, make sure to make a backup save of your PS4 console before attempting anything ! Recently (April 2024), after encountering a 0Kb save bug, I tried to reinstall everything. The three most massive DLC (Nuka World, Far Harbour and Automatron) keep the game from even starting - it crashes a few seconds after launch. And the three others workshop DLC (Vault-Tec, Wastelands and Contraptions) are missing most of their textures. There is apparently nothing to do about it, except praying for a future update to fix that issue. If you already made the mistake, the vanilla game and the Creation Club contents seems to be working just fine - Todd Howard's fine, that is.
One thing i learned quickly when playing fallout 4 back when it came out, you literally had to edit some file entries as the game is so badly optimized, the engine chokes on itself being forced to load stuff that isn´t even on screen. You could literally take a lot of stress from it by changing that without any visual loss.
Everyone should definitely have a look at FO4 Horizon overhaul mod first. Chances are, it includes about everything you were looking for. Slap on some graphics mods from The Wanderer's modlist video or others. This might save you A LOT of time and HEADACHES
I would love if you could make a fallout modlist reviews. It's sometime overwhelming to look at all of them and a teir list or even better recommendations for the best types of mid list would be great
I don't usually mind the load times, during those I usually just do some quick stretches or grab a quick drink of water. However I do see how useful the mod is for others, loading screens can break the immersion.
Let's hope they upgrade to Creation Engine 2 and really do some graphical improvements without making any available mod unplayable. Or just fix Boston fps.
It will be 💩 and nothing different. Bugs will still be there and bethesda will rely on modders. Then they will ruin it with CC garbage that never been great.
@@Nexowl How on earth can they move their entire game to the creation engine 2??? Fallout 4 was made on the creation engine. They would need to create the game from the ground up. All they'll do is look for areas that need smoothering out like fps dip areas and overhall it with texture mods and slap fallout 4 update edtion on it.
I haven't had a smooth fallout 4 playthrough since launch. There are certain areas I am guaranteed to crash at, and I avoid downtown Boston at all cost. Severe frame drop that lead to a crash. This is on Xbox one.
I've been years away from FO4 and never played the addons even though I bought them. I started to play again after Starfield was making me wanting more. And with all the mods since then It's now my second most played game.
" If you like "Wars", then you should give "Peace" a chance, too!" . . . . if only they would lsten! This video really stirred my desire to return to Fallout 4. Good job!
be aware when using wars/peace that they have massive issues, most notably the loading screens become much worse with up to minutes waiting if you play for a while
Ah, WARS--I was about to download it until you reminded me that it's the mod that introduces 1) weapon degradation, and 2) dropping magazines on the ground if you reload often. Yeah, THAT mod.
Can you do a similar video about Skyrim LE/SE/AE with all the latest engine level fixes and frameworks? It’s so hard to keep track of all the changes for returning players.
The shorter loading screens, WHY can't ...Bethesda do that? Proper frame rates, WHY can't...Bethesda do that? Weapons that look GOOD( I HATE that assault rifle thing( WHY can't ...Bethesda do that? WHY am I giving Bethesda any money WHEN THEY'RE NOT doing ANY work, it's ALLLLLLL modders. The MOD work is BRILLIANT and Bethesda is pathetic.
Literally cant even download a MOD without my Fallout 4 Xbox x/s crashing everytime I try to load the game. Even basic gameplay im FIGHTING with constant crashes.
I want a mod that adds new weapons, but I don't want super op or modern weapons, I want something balanced and fits the world, like more make shift weapons with a ton of visible upgrade options
Fallout 4 on PC - SETTLEMENT building. What mods would your recommend from Nexus that help increase the amount of items to build with but that also have quality of life improvements. For example I'm looking to: a) BE ABLE to build underground like in a bunker like in fallout 76 b) build with different textures on both sides of the walls - so with wallpapers c) be able to SPAWN in passive NPCs like robots or hostile ones like ghouls to lock in an area (cage) like a prisoner. D) build doors with self powered switches to open/close a door or to lock it and USE a keycard that only i have access to. I've read and seen and am thinking of the following: wireless electricity mod, scrap everything mod, snappy house mod, settlement objects expansion mod. Can you good people offer any other suggestions - and which order to load them in without breaking one another. P.s. I'm allay going to install "war of the commonwealth " and"real ai" . Fallout 4 Mod Community
I love these fast mod reviews, I think that once the show comes out, and so does FO4 next gen, we will receive a revival on FO4 modding. I hope the immersion factor grows. Great vid.
just heads up, long load order will qucikly load textures too, so if you have an texture overhaul like 4k and what nots, when you load into places some textures wont be fully rendered.
Wars: this, some of that, those, all of these detailed in over 2 minutes. Peace: healing, weight management, survival explained in less than 10 seconds. the sponsor literally got more time. Guess I'll look on nexus myself..
Apparently I have a bit of bad luck with Long Load fix, it actually causes an infinite load screen when it's turned on 😅. No idea what is causing a conflict with it but I find it a bit ironic and funny that using the fix is actually a downgrade 😂
The biggest turn off for me in fallout 4 is the weapons. None of the weapons would ever actually function. There was zero effort put into making believable decent looking guns. The 10mm pistol is literally the size of your thigh, the minigun is ridiculously nerfed because they just give it to you right off the bat, and that is just the first 10 minutes outside the vault. The thing I would most like is a modlist that adjusts the game away from rpg to more of an action shooter with stealth elements. Complete weapon replacement is a must. I would also like all settlement building removed and replaced with prebuilt settlements.
And if you download "Long Loading Times Fix" like I did and experience low res blurry textures permanently being apart of your game like I did. Go into Long loading times ini file and set "Quickloa=true to false. And before I have to get into another argument about this. Yes it was the mod causing it, there's no discussion.
Juicehead my friend for I have never left fallout 4 till this day I have now 14000 hours in fallout 4 I literally have spent a real life equivalent of a year inside the simulated world you call fo4
