This year I am giving my 13yr nephew a Onewheel Pint for Christmas. I have been studying your videos for the day he opens his gift. Thank you for tips and tricks!
@@NoNORADon911 I bet they do! They are being choosy and not looking at the stats. Its impossible to keep track who purchases one after seeing these videos. But the comments can speak in high volumes that Jimmy Chang sells!
Ok Jimmy, I've been watching your videos on/off for the past year. I don't believe I've ever commented on one until now. I think the most helpful tip I've learned from you wasn't even a Onewheel tip! It was the mobile browser RU-vid hack. This is a game changer! I listen to RU-vid videos on my drive to work and have to keep my phone screen on while sitting in the passenger seat to play them.....until now! Seriously, thanks for the content. You always have something worthwhile to share and I've learned so much about the Onewheel from watching. Float on my friend!
I love your sense of humor. I especially like the way you mentioned that people can fall asleep to your videos and then you showed a picture of Slydog Stro. I have his settings for his board as a custom setting on my One-Wheel+ XR and it has it's title as his name.
I have always wanted to be able to listen to videos out of RU-vid and not wanted to pay RU-vid Premium. Mr. Chang you are a true hero to me now and I hope you see this comment.
I used your idea of the milk carton from your last video... works great to hold all my gear/pads in it as well... I just added to it a bit and put pool/pipe noodles on the inserts to protect the onewheel more!
Note for the land surf handle, it requires you to cut your rail guards to use it as it only fits naked rails. It’s a nice handle but just something to keep in mind as I do also recommend rail guards
Thanks for the handle ideas. Onewheel sold my wife a package XR but failed to inform her she needed another added accessory for the handle. So I am sitting on a handle that I can’t use and she can’t send back because of no packing slip. Great videos and hacks.
Excellent advice, especially about the repetitive posts on Facebook, but (a) that's a problem with any group, and (2) sadly, I doubt anyone who doesn't already know how to use search will bother. Ah well. Good training for patience and humility. PS I probably enjoy the sound of your voice because my mom was Chinese. Sounds like home. :-)
You and bigclivedotcom are soothing! I could fall asleep on pretty much any RU-vid video besides earrape so I don't know if I'm the most reliable source though
Love the tips Jimmy! I use the tennis racket or baseball bat tape a lot on my scooters. I like to wrap the stem area where I hold the scooter when it is folded. I picked up a handle along with a bunch of upgrades from Float Life when I first got my XR. It has kept my Orange and Black XR in great shape. The protection plates are great for changing the color of your XR while also protecting the metal from scratches.
Hi Jimmy, these are great hacks and great advice. For example, a few weeks ago I made a video describing how I had to ride home with my arm and leg bloody. If I had first aid kit it would have stopped a lot of the blood and it would have prevented a lot of the horrified looks on faces of pedestrians that were walking toward me, LOL. Great thinking as always!
@@freshlycharged Thanks Jimmy, sometimes despite our best efforts things happen and all I could do is just learn from it. P.S. your video is loaded, and I mean loaded, with great humor!
Excellent Star Wars metaphor... Your reaction is excellent on that nosedive. The oncomers seemed horrified, your don't even change speed fast... 😆 I'm very glad to see you mentioned the first aid kit I have been riding with one since day three. I wonder do you to find yourself running off your wheel when you nosedive? I have used a Indoboard to help my reaction balance. While rare these days they happen. The INDOBOARD is and excellent float trainer. I tend to fang ride 10-20 yards and then run out 20 yards before diving into a safer tuck, keeping myself slightly scraped instead of shredded.
Thanks to all who helped to make this video and my RU-vid channel possible. Special thanks to Slydog Stroh and Fordged Onewheel RU-vid channels for the sleepy clips! Oh, and a big thank you to that guy who always gives my videos a thumbs down minutes after I publish. I appreciate you being a subscriber! 😘
Hey, Jimmy, Here’s a hack to better keep your power button protected from water and debris. Use 3/4” internal retaining clips instead of o-ring inside the rubber button protector. They won’t come out like the o-ring will.
I would love a video of your thoughts about GPS tracking devices hidden in the One-Wheel to aid in recovery after a theft. I value you opinion and have bought many enhancements for my One-wheel experience. I heard of approximately $80 devices that connect to a cellular network that have monthly fees. The only thing is that the monthly fees sometimes don't have to be paid until you actually want it tracked. The batteries can last a year. I recently believed my one-wheel to be stolen. The maintenance staff in my apartment complex noticed my one-wheel beside my car in the morning and then noticed it later on in the afternoon. I work third shift and I accidentally left it outside my trunk in the morning. They took it and kept it in the office so it wouldn't be stolen. I have over 2000 miles on it since last summer. A lot of people see me riding it in my neighborhood.. I got a lot of questions and exclamations of how cool it looks.
I use a Tile sticker. It's incredibly small so you will forget it's even there and the thief won't see it and remove it. The Tile app is super easy to work, very user friendly even for the most novice people. And finally, they only cost like $45 for two of them
thanks for the hacks - my Onewheel is supposed to arrive today - but they are doing construction on the street and the #UPS driver just drove past without even seeing if he could go down the street....Someone #fedex made it with my fender
Hello Jimmy. I just ordered a pint 2 days ago. Been enjoying your content. I find a lot to be helpful, especially these hack videos. I have a very small youtube channel. Feel free to check it out. Anyways thanks for the videos. Keep em coming.
While watching I was laughing at the Gags about falling asleep to your videos and then at the very end I realized I almost dozed off... to be fair I have horrible sleeping habits so that wasn't your fault!
Lol you say this (sleephack) as i start to cuddle up and get ready for a nap. Love your vids.. cant wait to get a OW of my own one day! Been wanting onr for yearss
I LOVE BABY YODA! I have one of the new plastic figurines from Hasbro on pre-order so I can attach him to my one-wheel so he can ride with me all the time! "This is the way" Wait....I edited my comment to include a line from the Mandalorian and now my comment isn't hearted any more!😭
