@@itsMrNoble Leia knew what was going on, because she knew that Stormtroopers were very good shots, they were ordered to make their escape not look like it was easy. She knew that they were being tracked.
When IV came out, it made sense that R2 didn't recognize ObiWan and vise versa. BUT, given their history in Episodes 1-3 and the Clone Wars, there is NO WAY that they would not have known each other. We know that R2's memory never got 'flushed'. Now, having said that, R2 would know who ObiWan was when Leia gave him the message, and that would explain his determination to get the message to him.
R2s memory was never wiped, and Obi Wan said that he doesn't remember owning a Droid, and that was true, from a certain point of view. Obi Wan did in fact recognize R2
@@JosieJoeMcK-tg6rx I noticed she wanted to do her own thing when she said, "There's nothing to draw from" after approximately 32 years of the Expanded Universe's (I don't like to call them Legends) games, novels, toys, magazines, comics and hell - she didn't even really care about the films.

@@AdultThirdCultureKid1971 it’s the “you already have” that gets me every time. To me that’s really the culmination of episode 5 and 6. Blowing up the Death Star was a nice bonus. Something about a son trying to redeem his father really hits hard.

2:29 This reminds me of an example from the Star Trek: Original Series episode “A Private Little War”, where the name of the “beast” originally was a Gumato, but one of the actors couldn't say that word, so it was changed to Mugatu or Mugato. The different names for the same species were the central joke in the Lower Decks episode “Mugato/Gumato”. Yes, I'm talking about Star Trek on a Star Wars channel, so sue me.

This channel will always be treated like crap by what culture!!! Most videos are written by Gareth Morgan with his jokes that very rarely hit the mark. The shows are never covered unless for a place on this lists.
