Honestly thought Witch Brook would have been out by now XD I finally stopped keeping tabs on it so it's kind of amusing to see it mentioned again ages later XD
I hope so... I remember when No Man Sky first came out and I was so hyped. I never bought the game in the end, so I truly hope the ambition isn't too over whelming for the team...
I'm not really into multi-player and hate that a lot of games only cater to that. Hopefully I'd still be able to enjoy it solo...but I'm not counting on it.
@lazyannie it's a shame you've never tried it tbh. Hello Games is the definition of redemption arc in the gaming world, they're now probably one of the most trusted company of all times out there because with time, they released everything they promised for and way, way beyond for FREE and keep updating their project more often than any other game dev team does.
@@FireNooodles You're right, but i've played no man's sky solo more than with friends... this is weird but the vastness of space in that game makes me feel "lonely" and comfortable. Like the really cozy quiet of discovery and traveling from planet to planet. Hope you give it a try once at least.
The positive is that the team worked their butts off to get NMS up to par to the hype that was created even though it failed at launch. so even if this game flops too, we can expect them to fix it and add what they have promised later on. Hopefully they won't risk it again, and I expect they have learnt from their mistakes. But NMS is pretty good now, so I expect a good game from them.
I like the unique vampire take if Moonlight Peaks in what is obviously an Animal Crossing... variant. And it visually looks better than most low poly stuff that looks like they didn't bother with making it look good at all
dokev seem to caught my attention, the exploration looks so cool and gives off a very different and unique kind of theme. the alpaca mount looks so cute and fun
Cherry on top and sunny side up are so informative, this is the content I didn't know I needed it. Thanks again for the great video I am so ready for Paralives. I loved Sims for so many years but we need other games. Under a Rock and Light no Fire looks super promising too.
I HATE THESE VIDEOS.....BECAUSE THEY'RE SO GOOD AND I'M IMPATIENT😭😭😭 Seriously though, great video!! I typically like to keep up on upcoming games (my Steam wish list is FULL of upcoming games lol) and I had only heard of Puff Pals on your list! Thank you for sharing, I'm sooooo looking forward to Light No Fire!!!
This has been bugging me too. I see so many games advertised on Twitter, go to check them out, only to find out they're not out yet. I get they're trying to get people to know about their game and "build the hype", but to me it's adding frustration. You got me excited only to deny me. Not a very good first experience. Maybe it makes more sense for big titles or sequels+ that people are waiting for, but for small indie games? Bro I'm gonna forget them let's be real
Given Chucklefish's history, I wouldn't count on Witchbrook; far too long silent, and the treatment that they've given Starbound.. let's just say it's not great. 😅
@@thisthat8717 I'd say look up some of the information yourself because I don't really remember the details. Every now and then in r/Starbound would resurface that they had interns heavily involved in the SB development who went without credit or pay. Back in 2019 it was when they said they outsourced the optimization of SB to release for Xbox and that's been silent as well since then with them only saying that it's still in progress, but somehow they managed to develop and release Wargroove and then Wargroove 2. I went to check the official discord and seems a modder has a summary of the events so far in the SB chat pins (I used to be a very active modder years ago with a big furniture mod for SB) Another thing is that Stardew Valley used to be published under Chucklefish, and ConcernedApe chose to later self-publish it, I don't know the exact reasons but doesn't give me a great feeling. ETA:// It's basically a wait for them to prove it all wrong and actually deliver anything.
I am so excited for all of these games!!! I have already purchased loftia, and puffpasl island in the skies!!!! Also super excited for Moonlight Peaks!!! I can't wait to play them!!! Also this new show is so cute!!!
After playing the Moonlight Peaks demo, it blows my mind that it's set for a 2026 release. It felt quite polished and was a bit addictive, plus it's something new in the farming sim genre as you play as a vampire. Witchbrook has been on my radar since it was announced; I didn't realize it was that long ago! I hope we hear more news about it soon. As a long time Simmer, it's nice to see others trying to break into the Sims space. Paralives has been on my radar for ages too, and I can't wait for it to be out. I know we'll be getting Life By You in a few weeks (if it's not delayed yet again), but that game looks questionable. The character models in that game need A LOT of work. This is my first time hearing of Farm Folks. It looks like it has a lot of potential, but will it be another Palia? I tried Palia on my switch and it felt kinda empty for me. No one really tried to interact much. I saw DokeV when it was shown at a game fest, and am not really interested in it. Loftia looks quite cute, though I'd say the same for it as what I said for Farm Folks. Will this be another Palia? I'd LOVE an MMO life sim game. So more than 25 players. I'd love something where you can establish a community online with others. More like a better Sims Online than Palia. Inzoi reminds me of the MMORPG Black Desert, at least graphically, (the detail/realism, the customization in the character models). I played it shortly after the NA launch, and there was SO MUCH pop-in. Maybe they've fixed it by now? I do remember having a house in one of the cities with a balcony, and being able to not only see players actually passing by in the street, but also being able to jump down from the balcony (it was on the 2nd floor) and be on the street seamlessly. If Inzoi has that sort of seamless interaction with the city, then consider me interested. Anything except the endless loading screens and rabbit holes of the Sims 4. Puffpals looks cute, but your concerns are definitely valid. Will it be the Star Citizen of life sim games? (on a vastly smaller scale). 🤔 Under a Rock I haven't heard of, and it looks amazing. How she befriended the little sabertooth made me laugh. I hope it lives up to its potential. Light No Fire has me unreasonably excited. I haven't played No Man's Sky, but I've heard it's vastly improved since launch. It gives me hope that the devs will have learned from their mistakes and grown enough so Light no Fire lives up to its immense potential and ambition. I've been an MMORPG player for a long time, and there's something about flying across vast continents that is just so fun, yet peaceful. Light No Fire is definitely the one I'm most looking forward to, but I'm doing my best to temper my expectations. I've been burned too many times by ambitious games (like Landmark). Apologies for the wall of text. Thanks for your video though, it brought a lot of new games to my attention. I look forward to hearing more about these games, as well as seeing more of your videos! 🥰
Great video! I've download the Moonlight Peaks demo and omggg, the choke hold it has on me is astounding! I cannot wait for this game to drop! I'm also super excited for Paralives! I've been supporting that game since it was announced and I can't believe we are getting closer to an early access release
I'm concerned whether some of the games will keep their promise...well I guess that what makes them ambitious. I do genuinely hope they all work out though especially the ones that have backing from kickstarters ahhhh I'm most excited for ParaLives. The team does usually manage expectations of players especially with their roadmap so I'm quite optimistic that they will come thru with their game
It looks good but my concern is it's gonna be Korean centric. I sus it's gonna have like 4 face options for different races and be incredibly hetero standard. I hope I'm wrong
@@Lilian040210 Currently from what I've heard, Inzoi plans to come out with 2 different towns centered on Seoul and California. Also, it looks like from some of the videos I've seen of content creators playing an early copy of the game, is that the customization is pretty good.
Another Sweet Show Miss Sarah! You are the go-to for gaming news, play-throughs, detailed game reviews, amazing streams, authentic well thought-out videos with excellent editing skills. You should be soaring to 100,000K and the number 1 gaming channel before the end of the year!
When I first found about witch brook I was in middle school, I graduated high school, went to college, AND currently serving in the military and it’s still not out 😭
I backed the Loftia kickstarter and I'm so excited for when the alpha tests start!!! I've never participated in alpha testing so I'm looking forward to the new experience. Puffpals also looks super cute!!! Honestly I just need more hours in my day to keep up with all the good games.
I was really excited when I first saw Farm Folks but there is something to be said about games getting TOO complicated to the point where it’s overwhelming and I lose interest 😅
Do we still think Witchbrook is happening? Has there been any word from anyone involved suggesting that it's still being developed? I'd love to believe it will exist, but it feels like it's time to give up on that one. 🙁 I'm the most excited for Under a Rock. BTW I love the inzoi kitty ❤
I could of swore that Moonlight Peaks tweeted something about join a new team to hopefully get the game out in 2025, not 2026. but i could be wrong. have been watching a few of these games for a year to a year and a half. I really enjoyed the most recent demo of Moonlight Peaks. very excited for that one and Under a Rock.
So many impressive looking games! I hope they all manage to pull off all the features they're promising, because that's a win-win for us gamers! Thank you for yet another great video!!
Light no Fire just went on my list. It looks incredible! But for a cozy fix I really hope the team with Puff Pals will make it through...cause that looks so cute!!!
omg i love this video format! I've been watching ur channel since it was all about coral island and to watch ur growth has been so rewarding, I would like to reccommend chef rpg for the next video in this series; the dev is doing everything mostly on his own but he's doing an amazing job and regularly records his progress on his yt channel!
I've been looking forward to Paralives for a few years simply b/c of the build mode. Light No Fire just topped that. I love No Man's Sky so if they can pull off Light No Fire, that game may compete with Horizon Zero Dawn/Horizon Forbidden West as my favorite. I also see a bunch of upcoming cozy games in your review that i want to wishlist as well :)
One thing that is a good sign: if a game is in development and they haven't asked for money via kickstarter yet you know it's only going to happen when it hits the publishing stage. Most kick-started games ask for money before any production is started and sometimes you can end up with endless kickstater going forever like star citizen 😅 or not happening at all.
I just wanted to thank you for your positivity with these games; I'm more than happy to wait as long as needed for these games to be ready. The longer the wait, the more likely they'll be amazing games!
I think this list is very well done, thank you for your work! :) If I could add one ambitious cozy title I'd add Fantasy Life to the list. I have over 300 hours on the DS version and from what they have mentioned the next one seems to be even bigger. I'm a bit nervous if the quality is going to hold up but if it is then this title is going to be a lot, at least for the cozy standards.
inZOI is giving uncanny valley to me Unfortunately the art style for quite a few of these just aren't doing anything for me, but hopefully the stories in them will be engaging. I hope a lot of these games aren''t too much for the developers, and some of the features sound like they could be post-release updates.
I’m looking forward to Coral Island on switch as well with dokev And Farm folks whatever consoles, they may release on the PlayStation or Nintendo‘s next console
This was a lovely line up, although it hurts that Dokev, Loftia, and Puffpals Island Sky aren’t on steam they look amazing already, looking forward to them the most
Hi guys, I am searching for a specific game and I cannot for the life of me remember the name! I think you might be able to help me. 😊 I saw it on a German gaming news channel some months or years ago, cannot find that video or game though. 😬 It's about a young person going to live with a female relative (grandma or aunt). It looks and feels like Stardew Valley, they compared the two. The youngster explores the woods and finds a big tree [by a lake?] and some blue whirls/signs or portals. When it gets dark, the youngster witnesses a witch circle meeting of people in full-on cloaks and hoods. It is revealed that the head of that mysterious circle is the female relative and that the youngster has powers, too. I think you can grow potatoes, too, you need to help out with the house and garden at first, rip out weeds and water the potato plants. If you have any clue, please let me know, Google didn't help me at all! 😅 Thank you if you read this. ❤
Looking forward to so many!! I just wanted to add that I did find the music really loud though, like it was almost covering your voice this time, maybe I am the only one lol
I'm feeling more and more the animal crossing effect in these games, some of which go way beyond animal crossing. A lot of gamers have felt that the game has become a bit dehumanised. In fact, games like Faefarm, Disney Dreamlight Valley, etc. whose graphics are far from the most modern, bring a gentleness that animal crossing no longer has. Nintendo is going to have to rethink the game's mechanics, dialogue, graphics, theme, soundtracks and so on, because Animal Crossing is largely wearing itself out.
It’s a real shame that Loftia has no plans for an offline experience. There is absolutely no reason it needs to be an MMO and the fact that it’s geared for younger players means that a lot of core MMO social features will have to be stripped back or eliminated for safety reasons. Edit: And they’ve got cosmetic microtransactions, which in practice means to look unique you’ll have to shell out cash.
I really love these series! Sunny Side Up and Cherry on Top are great and informative ways to get the latest news on cosy games. Additionally, listening to the sweet and calming voice of the beautiful Sarah Sunstone
I honestly don't have much hope in Witchbrook. It's been in development for like 7-8 years, with almost no new information. They kind of shot themselves in the foot by announcing the game so soon and then letting it sit in limbo for years and years.
most excited for inzoi if my pc can handle it..but I'll probably get a chance to upgrade it this year so :3 (and i also wish that James who plays Sims would try inzoi~) i also liked puffpals when i first heard of it..idk right now..
I'm anticipating Loftia's eventual release so much. Being part of the Kickstarter and seeing different aspects being continuously added was so exciting. Puffpals also looks so interesting!
