The large square map of California is arguably my personal favorite map to build my personal dinosaur sanctuary on, especially since Yosemite Valley is a near perfect backdrop for the kind of environment that many of the dinosaurs would have been at least somewhat familiar with in when their "ancestors" were alive. Even considering how LARGE the square maps are, I still wish they were a little bit BIGGER, and had their borders better blended with the non-buildable edges, like they have for the Nublar square map.
As a 30+ year old, médiocre sandbox builder, with no knowledge of, or interest in learning how to safely use mods, I sincerely appreciate that you make content that is unmodded. I enjoy watching park build from all types of builders but I have been watching you since JWE2 came out and have always appreciated and enjoyed the relatability of your builds… even though I lack your creativity. I have been able to greatly improve based on the tips you have shown, which I can’t really do watching modded builds. Thank you from the low-techs (at least for now, but I know we’ll always enjoy your builds no matter what direction you choose to go in 😊).
I have questions that weren’t answered. Where are baby dinosaurs, where is microceratus, where is Evo’s godly expansion that she thought of, why don’t you have 1 million subscribers and why hasn’t everyone liked.
You don’t have to unlock the maps anymore, I wanna say it was updated a few updates ago so now you can buy the game, go into sandbox, and you have all Dino’s automatically and all Maps
@@Godly_SeveranceYou don't need to unlock it anymore. But the way you originally had to unlock it was to play The Campaign, Challenge Mode, and Chaos Theory mode.
Frontier needs to fix where you can’t put down all buildings decorations trees etc on PS4 and XBOX. I really love to follow some of your tutorials or be inspired by your builds. But I can’t because you can’t get all buildings
Unrelated but my favorite "builds" are the ones that don't have any buildings or fences at all. For example: my most recent build is a recreation of the Saurion map and I just have all of the dinosaurs run wild. The only problem is that none of the dinosaurs like to hang around with their own species.
Haha I tried building with a controller once too and quit after 10 minutes. Many of the parks in the backround look SO awesome btw! I need to step up my path layouts.
Your videos helped me tremendously on building a sick park so far. I had no idea what I was doing when I first started and wanted my park to look like the ones you and other sandbox builders do which are phenomenal. I wish I can show you my park. How I build parks now is dependent on all buildings, considering the fact that I put a Visitor's Centre over a part of the lagoon because it looks cool and it makes it look like they built the Visitor's Centre on the lagoon.

I hope that one day you do an all Large Carnivore park build, like that mission from Jurassic Park Operation Genesis. And maybe make it with break outs on for some extra fun!

The bulk of my inspiration for my most recent park builds have been from real life zoo's and prehistoric planet, as lately I've been trying to make paleo-accurate enclosures and when I need cool skin ideas and building techniques I come to your videos for inspiration (despite my pain of having a previous gen console😩)
no ideas are not infinite when the tools are limited :P I AM staying unmodded for as long as possible, that's exactly what I am doing, but at some point I've done everything *I personally* can unmodded.
Yeah i got a lot of inspiration from when you talked about the glitch with the aviary and made different biomes into the aviary for the climates the dinosaurs lived in.
I think you are referring to JWE1 DLC's, not updates. JWE2 got a new hotel in the Dominion Malta expansion. I don't think it will ever get new stores, considering the customization options.
@@EvolutionSquare I mean if Frontier decides to add them, what would their role be in JWE2? For example, do you remember the old hotels we had in JWE1? Well, I would think that if they added them it would have some special function, that would be good for the game?
With this whole mod situation: I honestly do not mind either way. Your unmodded builds are still some of the most beautiful ones I have seen on this platform and I look forward to every single one of them. I myself have the game modded but only Kaiodenic's "essential" mods, that make the game more enjoyable, like the free build or the expanded terrain tools. Taking the the game as it is until Frontier leaves it to rest is a good way of using the potential of what mods can give you later.
Another thing I started doing is planning sectors of my park, it helps me stay motivated and I know what to do, but since its planned in sections after the previous section is completed I can change a lot

Congratulations on getting to where you are; you truly deserve all the love from people for the passion you have for making your videos and the love we all have for Jurassic Park and dinosaurs. I genuinely congratulate you on all your work, and thank you for the tips; you're light-years ahead of my parks, honestly. I always try to recreate my own 1993 or an Isla Sorna with 'experiments,' but when it comes to decorating, yours is on another level. Well, I just wanted to comment on that. I only use mods that make it less anoying to place objects although it's true that I find the challenge in theory to do these glitches to place objects and but doing them again and again I find(for me) pretty tedious. Also it gives me more creative freedom while still beeing able to open my parks in vanilla.
Two exhibits I’m working on for my channel is Minas Tirith from LOTR and a Jurassic mall which came from being inspired by you Evo. Remember folks even if an idea seems impossible, the hardest thing about it is saying let’s prove me wrong and then doing it.
I would love using the invisible fence but I don’t like using the biosyn buildings as a park usage for guests. Also if you were going to use mods only use the dinosaurs mods if you want a more authentic feel
when I start using mods, dinosaur mods are probably exactly the mods I *won't* use ;) I don't think the game needs more dinosaurs. I'd be getting mods for the creative options.
@@EvolutionSquare I agree with you completely. I don’t use mods however if I ever did I would not use species mods because they’re basically just unnecessary remodels of the same rigs. I may make an exception for crocodilians though lol
5:52 actually, that is only true if you got the game before a certain update (don't ask me which update it was cuz i don't remember) if you bought the game recently, all maps will be available for you, even if you haven't done the ones that are locked behind a campaign
as someone who plays JWE2 on a console, i don't precisely _mind_ that i'm limited to one building set at a time--if anything it forces me to think a bit creatively ;) --but i just wish that sandbox mode would give more variety to fences across all of them (especially mixing and matching the concrete and spike-topped fences, and using invisible fences for what would otherwise "need" to be free-roaming paddocks), and some ride variety because the Classic Tour cars seem so out-of-place "off-roading" and, conversely, it's annoying that the truck tours in other build sets don't have a paved road option
I have the same philosophy. Wait until Frontier is finished with Jurassic World Evolution 2 and after the last update, modding. Because it doesn't make sense now. Mod your game and it gets broken after the next update. I want more dinosaurs and marine reptiles. But I can wait.
Actually the glitch what IM currently seeing still works. You just need to use sandbox and go to DFY returned to Jurassic World. Then going to first person and open.
I like the game since the first one. since I discoverd your channel, it motivates me more to create parks. I admit, I use mods from Nexus. but instead of parks or tools, I want more creatures. I challenge myself to build a (*timeline based* themepark) from the Permian to the Late Cretaceous. the problem with vanilla is, there too much of the late cretaceous, not enough of the jurassic and maximal 4-5 species of the triassic. With some mods: creatures of the permian, triassic and jurassic, the specieslist is more divers and with more oppertunity for this challenge. a park where the visitors see creatures from the Permian, triassic, jurassic, early cretaceous and late cretaceous.
The only mods i think i would use are the ones for building like removing restrictions. not dinosaur skins because sometimes the mods for dinosaurs are a dinosaur that is already coming.
I am one who is waiting for the park with all dinosaurs from the first game(Jurassic World Evolution 1). Park without atrociraptor,all marine reptile and others?
My Parks are looking really boring because i dont use as much space for exhibits and use it for decoration etc. Do you have tipps how to fix it? That it matches?
At 5:40 I have all the maps. But I guess it is because I bought most of the DLCs. I completed some challenges but not THE campaign. I am only interested in unlimited creating. So I only do "sandbox" and some few other "pre-fixed" maps.
So about the maps, they have done an update where you don’t need to play challenges or the campaign to unlock maps, like I didn’t unlock both American maps but the day the update came out I had both of them
1:16 this might sound silly but why does JP have two control centres? Surely the discovery centre would be the JP equivalent of the innovation centre as that’s the guest welcome + activity area like the innovation centre not like a control room or am I getting things confused? TL;DR: discovery centre as second control centre? Why not in entertainment attractions as a JP version of innovation centre
@@EvolutionSquarefair enough. It doesn’t actually entertain guests though like the innovation or a cinema or whatever though does it? Btw ur videos are really helpful. I’m currently making a park that is about 90% Evo but the ‘Evo we have at home’ (one reason is I don’t put nearly as many decorations as you do because I don’t want my Xbox to catch fire and I like having guests in the park). I wouldn’t have ever been able to have so much fun in the game without discovering your channel. Ontzettend dankjewel.
The Jurassic Park Visitor Center does count as a Control Center. This was done as an effort to keep the Jurassic Park Chaos Theory map canon compliant. (As it would be wierd to have the Visitor Center and a second visitor center-looking building on the same map.)
Actually here’s a good question. Since I noticed it in a livestream from last year. How in the world did you get all the challenge modes complete in Jurassic Difficulty?? Did you do it all legit or did Frontier specially designed your game file to have it shown as complete?
Only mods I use are the two that make the explorers movie accurate and the one that ports the actual movie jeep from the first game as a replacement for the telltale game knockoff jeeps in this one. Besides those two I really just prefer seeing what I can do with the 100% vanilla game. Even if the restrictions at times can be a bit empty headed.

The only "mod" I use is that I downloaded a 100% save file, as I wanted access to everything right away and concentrate on building stuff with all the dinos I want, without going through the not interesting stories and all that. I only want the sandbox mode. I don't need the rest.
As a modder, you cant park jeeps or srink the momorail,and when you intruduce the water fall looking snows,thers no watr fall mod,soooo you also helping the modders as well
I've been playing the game a lot recently and whenever I hear something move off vison in a movie/show I think it's a dinosaur in a show like the office or something. Lol!
tbh,i used to play on ps4,but then i was making such a good park,had so many guest areas,so many attractions and it was actually rlly good,then it crashed,and crached,then crashed agian,so im now moving to pc to continue and even use mods,but only for dinosaurs,i still want the challenge the game has
For if or when you start using mods we console players gotta remember all the amazing tricks you have shown us and with these tricks we can adapt. Which the dinosaurs could not
Evo, i share the pain of trying to build on a controller, but once you get used to it, it gets easier. I've always played on xbox, never even been on a pc, so im more used to all the buttons and stuff rather, if i was placed on a pc, i would probably rage not knowing how to do anything id be watching tutorials all day long. 😅😂
hm I mean I think I'm still getting better, every new park I finish is my "favorite". And since I've been playing since JWE1 first came out... I guess about 6 years? ;)
I think that Frontier should add only one dlc with shantungosaurus and microceratops and they also should add more building, more decoration and giant aviarys. Also if I will download the mods I would dowmnload only mods with new decorations cuz we already enough dinosaurs in the game.
7:52 is this a perspective shot or an actual glitch where the lagoon rock platform is on land. Also, how do you get the Malta brick fence things so close together? Mine don’t work like that
the lagoon rock is on land :) It's a glitch covered in the glitch guide linked at the end. As for the malta brick fence pieces, if you can't get them close, the problem is the terrain; you didn't perfectly flatten it.
How do i make dinosaurs glow? Like, i saw species in your gameplay that glow when they didn't in any media and i don't know how to make them glow in my game

Not a JWE2 question, but a Jurassicverse question: are you gonna do a video about the chaos theory trailer or videos about the show or you sticking with park building?
If the next trailer is more than just a 50% Camp Cretaceous highlight reel, I might cover it, if there's enough there to actually say something about other than "oh, huh, yeah maybe that will be cool". I will watch the show and if I have anything to share, I'll do a review.
