Bruce Lee was a great martial artist. He figured out some secrets of the martial arts, which I accidentally figured out myself when one of my 2nd degree black belts called me up to spare with him when I was at Blue Belt. I thought, there was no way I could win against him, so I relaxed into it. I ended up defending every strike and even getting strikes in on him. It frustrated him, and I was a little embarrassed that I beat him with ease. The last strikes were, I saw him projecting a side kick and I blocked it by kicking his foot down before he got a couple inches off the ground. I found out the next class that he tore muscles in his leg from me blocking that kick in that way. I was so sorry that happened. The style was Fred Villari Shaolin Kempo.

In actuality, there are a huge variety of lethal combat arts. What we are aware of and what we are unaware of. Pencak Silat is one of the deadliest martial arts, in my view. Nearly all of his actions are intended to rapidly stop the adversary. Agility, strength, and measurable with speed.

Anyway, Since every style has its pros and cons, I do believe that, every practitioner, should adapt and adopt every appropriate technique amongst them all, in accordance with his body's characteristics and features, like Lee did.

What about Pencak Silat? It is very popular in Asia, especially Southeast Asia. Pencak Silat is also included in the Asean Games

In the early 90’s I was stationed in South Korea, Republic of. I was able to visit the Dojo where Chuck Norris trained. However, I would see several demonstrations of Hapkido. Those kids were bad ass and I can’t believe it wasn’t discussed here. What I witnessed was obviously many years of training!

"KUNG FU" means "EXPERT". You can be Kung Fu in many disciplines not necessarily martial arts. Foe example a Doctor is Kung Fu in medicine because he is an expert in medical matters..

Not enough research in this video. Where are the Korean Martial Arts? If you want to see some serious fighting forms check out the Korean Military who use Hapkido and Taekwondo for their special forces and Secret Service prsonnel. These people have no fear, they jump moving cars, smash more wood and concrete than you can carry, and even run through walls. What about Penjak Silat? Indonesian style martial arts as used in the movies like The Raid and The Raid 2. You have google, so use it buddy. I studied Hapkido and Taekwondo for many years, and looked at most of what you show in your video and found them disappointing.

For me Kali is the most dangerous martial arts style because of its versitality..they use stick knife and bare hands..it's very brutal and deadly..

Considering that Judo means "Gentle Way", I'm not certain it should be listed as one of the "deadliest martial arts". It certainly has functionality as a type of self-defense, but it is (modern times) primarily a sport and is definitely not "deadly".

No one know how dangerous a martial art is until it is tried in MMA.

For me when it comes to striking Muay Thai is the best and Jiujitsu for ground fighting...Just combine it then you will become a MMA fighter..😊

Define "deadly". BJJ is a sport and has NEVER been used to kill. You left out at least three truly deadly martial arts that should rank high on the list; Kali (Arnis), Silat and Wing Chun. JKD, mentioned early in the video, gets a mention even though it has a basis in Wing Chun, but the base system isn't mentioned? Why? Silat is geared in joint destruction and killing the opponent. If that's not deadly, I don't know what is. It seems that the creators of this video is more interested in listing the most used martial SPORTS with the only exceptions being the "Line System", "Systema" and "Krav Maga". A little more research might have been appropriate.

At best your research on this subject was superficial. From the very start, your premise, and definition of martial arts in general, and kung-fu in particular is wrong. (Why did I think this time the content creator would know what he was talking about?) If you want to make another video on this subject contact me, pay me, and I'll send you a script. But here is one for all your viewers and the more impressionable people hoping to learn something practical. 1) No martial art is deadlier than any other. The art does not make the man. The man makes the art. A man who is very poor at "kung-fu", will be destroyed by a good boxer. It is the individual that shines through their given art. A good wrestler will destroy a mediocre Tae Kwon Do student. And so on. I've spent over 45 years studying and training. And learned on the streets, in genuine combat scenarios, what is, and is not effective. Keep It Simple Stupid. Or you won't make it through the night. 2) Real combat starts out of nowhere. And ends in seconds. There are no ten, or fifteeen minute fights in the street. 3) Sparring produces bad habits that can get you killed when the SHTF. 4) You will react the way you've been trained. Know why your training, and what you hope to gain. You can't have it all. 5) One size does not fit all. Everybody is different and so are their needs. 6) Follow one path. Do one thing well, and only then move on to the next thing. You have to be critical and brutally honest with yourself. For instance instead of trying to master Judo and Wing Chun at the same time. Study one art deep! Real skills take many years. There are no short cuts. By the way, Kung-Fu means hard work, spending years acquiring something difficult to obtain.
