If you believe jesus died for all sins, he was buried and resurrected on the 3rd day, you are then saved. Salvation is not about what you do or "turning away from sin" . You must of missed the part of them saying that the watches have appreciated in value . Buying these type of watches is similar to buying art which isn't necessary collected because they personally like it . The purchases are mostly for investment purpose . But I think Jay Z likes his watches along with them appreciating in value which is an added plus . Wealthy people seeks to move as much of their cash into tangible assets that can withstand the depreciation of fiat paper money value and them purchasing big priced items is how they do it . Real Estate , cars , boats , planes , jewelry , precious metals and stones , art , and rare collectibles , are all hedges against inflation and the depreciation of paper money purchasing power . Also , certain assets can be hidden and are easily mobile like Jewry , art , and precious metals and stones . The government will come for the bank accounts and Real Estate first , just ask Donald Trump .
