We use to eat chimmi churri from a street vendor at Parque Duarte in Bonao in the early 70’s. You mentioned it started in the 70’s from a street vendor from Argentina. Where was this at ? Santo Domingo? Santiago?
Hey there and thanks for watching and commenting! Juan Abrales opened his restaurants in Santo Domingo. You can read more about it here: ensegundos.do/2014/11/27/la-historia-del-chimi-en-republica-dominicana/
I love my Dominican foods, however, I've never had chimmi churro nor kippes!! Habichuelas con dulce❤❤❤ BTW, after 20 years of not visiting my country, I renewed my passport to visit this year! I don't have family there so would it be safe for a solo tourist?
