The tenere looks good for me at least. The design is simpler. Doesn't have any weird shaped fairings that don't make sense except for making your bike look like a wanna be bmw. But ironicaly in that sense, I want more manufacturers to design the looks of their bike like the tenere (so at least to have options as it does cost a lot).
The "style departments" sure know how to ruin a good "adventure bike", of course they are mainly appealing to the "wanna look like an adventurer" crowd. These bikes should be classified as touring motorcycles and the touring motorcycles classified as 2 wheeled cars. An "adventure motorcycle" should be as light and simple as possible and sure as hell doesn't need triple digit horsepower...just saying
