These tips are great I had no idea Amazon owned Zappos One tip worth mentioning On top of students getting a discount on a prime membership Those that receive Food Stamps/SNAP benefits also qualify to receive half off yearly membership as well And due to some recent changes Amazon now accepts those benefits for purchases in areas with Amazon food service
No prime shipping but I really like the return service 5% discount I used on many items, but it will be useful if you buy any expensive item like computer or electronics. I always give you a thumbs up 👍 keep up the good work.
On or around Veteran’s Day, veterans can get the Prime membership for $79. If it doesn’t coincide with your renewal date, that’s ok...go ahead and pay for it and it will add on to the end of your current membership and will apply to the following year.
If you install the free browser extension libraryextension and select your local library, you can shop for books on Amazon and the extension will show you if your library has the book and let you reserve/request it with a single click. saving you 100% on the cost of books.
Lately There is no prime shipping on many products. It isn’t fair we are paying membership fees for services not offered lately. Some of my items were lost in mail as well. Thank You deal guy with all the beneficial information!!
You're right, but it's more curious than the simple answer... I don't have prime and my cousin does, but I am getting my deliveries within two to three days and she has waited up to two weeks. Same products ordered just to test it. So it has nothing to do with covid. Get your refund on prime 👍👍
I would never allow Amazon to have my health info, You hit the nail and I share your frustration on their sponsored items showing up when searching for something specific. Also their entire search engine lacks overall,
Yes Ive never subscribed to deal "savers" I always feel like there an infomercial trying to talk me into buying stuff like wow thats a deal u should get it NOW!! But not with him he is different I could tell by watching his first video n i subbed right away n he has legit helped me😇
I don't know if you have said this in the passed. No one has that I've seen. If you are on a State Medicaid program , you will pay half price for a membership. You will have to upload a picture of your State MCaid card then Amazon will verify you are on it. Half price membership.
I'm pretty disappointed with the so-called 2-day shipping. It's very hit and miss (usually miss with something I really want), and yet the subscription goes up each year....
I nearly always get my items within the allotted time, but the ONE time I needed the rush item for a trip was when it didn’t get delivered within two days because they handed it off to USPS for delivery.
Year 2: (my Prime renews in Nov) I found out they had a Vet/Military discount, same price as a student/Medicaid. Called & was told I had to renew within x number of days from Veterans Day! Year 3 (2020): Called ON Vet Day: They no longer offered this promo.. **Does this sound fair or anyone else? If I'm disabled/SSDI? Nope Over the age of 60? Try again Low income, not on food stamps? Service connected Disability, which is due to my Military service & receiving a SMALL Compensation Pension? Maybe next year. **'Meanwhile, they charged my card the full renewal price a week later. **I'm proud of my military service in the Navy, & would do it again, no prob.⚓
Number 8 kind of pissed me off, but not really....but #9 has been pissing me off for YEARS! I hate that I look something up and it constantly shows me crap I do not want. Hey Amazon ....KNOCK IT OFF!!
Matt if anyone has EBT (foodstamps) or Medicaid they can sign up for prime for just $5.99 a month and can also use their EBT to purchase food products on there as well.
Hey Matt! Thank you! Not sure if it's been previously mentioned but if someone is on government assistance for foodstamps, ie..EBT, they can get the prime membership for $5.99. They can also use their EBT to order food on the Amazon pantry. I've also gotten credits from ordering on my prime and selecting no rush shipping.
@@leefrenchfry not that I noticed. But I just cut out one thing from my budget to cover the $6/mth. It's been really helpful. I mostly use it for the prime video channels. My kids are doing online school this year. So I got internet for $10/mth through AT&T. Again because of EBT. With my last stimulus I paid for the internet for the year. And I use rebate apps when shopping and cash them in for Amazon gift cards. So I was able to get 2 Firesticks when I caught a sale for under $20 each. And my gift card credit paid for them.
Amazon Prime is $5.99 for those who are disabled and includes somewhat limited kindle prime and prime music. You do have to scan in and provide proof of disability, but - worth it!
This guy has saved me SO much money. I appreciate the fact that he researches these things and then gives me the info. I have used Amazon for years and never knew some of the things he has told me about
Thanks so much for explaining things in a way I can understand when it comes to all these very specific discounts or even the WalMart app video from the other day! You are appreciated!
I love your passion for coupons and sales! I get equally excited when I score a deal but I know these companies sometimes tricks us into thinking we are getting a sale so thank you for sharing your secrets and doing the research
@The Deal Guy - Technology has left me behind & my grown son (who's on the Spectrum) forbids me to click on links. I trust you, Matt, you inform us of all we need to know. Thanks! 👍💜
I love Pill Pack through Amazon. They are by far the easier way to get my prescriptions and the customer service is the best to work with. Thank you for all the great Amazon suggestions!
Every time an order is late I call and I request a $5.00 courtesy credit and it goes only towards towards amazon products. But, you must be a prime member and you must ask for it. I love it cause by the end of the year my membership is given back to me, love it.
I thought he meant, "I'm standing here so I might as well take it, don't want to drive around looking for a better price." But it's certainly possible to ask ahead (by phone, even), especially if your insurance is already on file at the pharmacy.
Great information! Thanks! Trying to avoid Amazon these days to support local businesses. It’s less convenient so I am more intentional about my purchases which is good. Still have Prime and still shop Amazon but not as much.
Omg! Finding your channel has been the best thing to happen in a while. My mom and I are actually going Penny shopping at dollar general for the 1st time today. We are deal-o-holics. We're definitely gonna take advantage of a lot of your advice! THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks, Matt! Learning about how to read price tags, coupons, secret online discounts, & just deals in general is not only informative, but fun. 😄 And. . . I like your ties, dude. Thanks again & God Bless.
I dont use amazon alot of the stuff I like to get is anime merch and items and their prices for some things can be up to 50% more. For example a Dabi funko their can cost $230 when you can get one on ebay for only $150. Also try amazon Japan to get cool deals but be aware of shipping fees.
You could do a whole video on saving on drug prescriptions. Good Rx website which is also app will tell you where your specific drug and specific pill size or FL Oz size is cheapest. Also pharmacist cashier can run both price options...with or without insurance. Also FSAs HSAs have strategic paths.
I have a prescription that Cigna's mail order pharmacy prices at $122. GoodRx listed several local pharmacies with prices around $16 to $22. Each of them I went to said that the medication had been back-ordered at least six months and there was no point in trying. Now, I can't be sure that they just don't want to sell it that cheaply, but I do tend to believe them However, one local pharmacy was honest enough to tell me won't honor GoodRx prices, because those prices are LESS than what he has to pay, meaning he'd lose money! He suggested taking it to a major chain (like CVS or Walgreens) whose volume of sales gets them lower prices. After spending 10-15 hours fruitlessly driving around and on the phone, I'm about to order from the Cigna mail order service - out of sheer exhaustion and a need for the meds!
Can you do a video about Amazon products that are "cloned" products? I was looking to purchase an electric coffee grinder. And, I am always careful to read reviews and research. Many of these products were not what the product description said. People have posted pictures to prove that there were height, color, and material discrepancies. It is super confusing!
I know I say this every time I watch your videos (or almost every time LOL! ) I learn so much from you Matt and save a lot of $$ in the process! Thx for all you do!
They recently gave me a $5.00 credit on anything that is sold and ships from Amazon. Only after I rather politely asked them what are you going to do to rectify the late delivery window.
@@jahneychriast2141 hey, it's their job. If they want to be delivery people, then they need to act like delivery people. And I want to get my stuff quickly. That's why I shop on Amazon. If you want your stuff delivered by Pony Express, I'm sure you'll find a company to accommodate you.
@@jahneychriast2141 a deal is a deal, Honor the agreement or pay the price. There are a lot of goubers That deliver for Amazon that need to be fired for being screwups.
Those with government DBT benefits (food stamps) and Medicare get Prime Membership discount for even less than college students. (approximately $5-$6} There is info on your amazon account or call customer service and they will send you the info.
There's an easier way to purchase a laptop. Buy a laptop with minimal specs on the hard drive and RAM. Locate the RAM you want for it to upgrade and locate the hard drive you want to replace with and with a little youtubing you can replace the hard drive and the RAM. You just got the laptop for likely $100-$500 cheaper. All you have to do is clone any software from your Hard Drive.
I just watched this video- I am disabled and Amazon also offers the 1/2 price prime membership to the elderly & disabled and they will also let you pay monthly, I pay $5.99 per month. You just need to provide your ID, it takes about 10 to 14 days for them to verify but while being verified, you can use your prime membership. Just thought you'd like to know that.
I didn’t know about the Amazon Prime Store Card. Sounds like much better benefits than what am I currently getting. Thank you so much. Also didn’t know Amazon owes Zappos. Great info as always. Keep up the great work!!! (Boo to Amazon on the “sponsored” items)
I love 6pm.com! I've bought a lot of things from them. Nine west $80 shoes for $15! Oakley jacket for the same price. Check them out! They have everything! Great deals all the time! 😁💜
Subscribed not to long ago got to admit two things 1. You look like an older Cory Matthews from Boy meets World 2. Pretty Sweet deals became a better shopper with just a few tips from you.
I used the Amazon trade-in program to great advantage about 4 months ago. I have a couple too many second generation Dots and wanted a second Echo 5. They were having a sale on some Echo devices including the Echo 5 at the time, the Echo 5 was on sale for $49.99. I traded one of my second generation dots which got me $5 credit plus 20% off towards the Echo 5 plus another $10 gift card bringing the price for the Echo 5 to $24.99. So yes, you can use the trade-in during a sale!
I had no idea there was a way to apply manufacturers coupons... I'd love to have more information about this. I'm disabled and no longer drive, so I have been using Amazon Fresh for groceries. It is convenient but it is also more expensive than actually shopping. If I could find coupons to help me save, that would be great! Thank you so much for the info! 😊
Are you not a Prime member? I noticed that the last time I cancelled my membership - they wouldn’t even ship it until 4+ days after I ordered and then I would receive it within two days. It used to be that you’d get TRUE two day shipping on orders over $35 without needing the membership. I seem to remember that it started out on orders over $25 when I first started using Amazon.
I would not recommend the Amazon prime store card. I can’t remember the name of the bank that it is through but I want to say that it sounded like calamity and that’s probably fitting. Their customer service is the worst and unfortunately I did not learn this lesson until a few months after getting the card. The 5% rewards that I earned were not worth the hassles and headaches that I ended up going through just to close the card six months later. I cannot stress this enough… Google the Amazon prime store card reviews and do your homework on them before signing up. I wish I did that before signing up myself because I probably would not have done it after reading the hundreds of reviews from Amazon customers.
I just got my first pair of shoes from the prime wardrobe and need to return them before I’m charged. You would think they give you 7 days and try them and 7 days to return but nope! Just a few days to return. So now I have to hurry and find a UPS store. Can’t even take them to the Kohl’s drop off place. Not very good on the return side. I will try the 6pm and Zappos next time. Thanks!
Hey, Matt! Have you done any deals on diapers/wipes on warehouse deals? I bought tens of boxes of both that had cosmetic damages on the outside box but the diapers themselves are still sealed and safe. The discounts are INSANE!
Hi! New viewer & subscriber here. here. I learned more from this video about Amazon than anything about using my Amazon Prime membership I've had for 18 plus years. Thank you!!!
Matt, can you tell us how online companies are handling porch-pirated deliveries? It's an increasing problem where I live. Package thieves are brazenly following right behind delivery drivers, snatching up the cartons, which you might say are only partially delivered. Are companies sending replacements, or are customers just out of luck?
Amazing video, so much good information that is hard to search for. Your Amazon vids are amazing the research you do, since Covid began our Amazon purchases have soared, and your tips and tricks have saved us tremendously. Only problem with Amazon I have is large purchases like my stationary bike will cost me a lot of money to ship back, and I see that they are only selling used ones because the computer stats do not work and mine doesn’t either. Seems like a customer who pays about $2,000 dollars a month in goods shouldn’t have to pay return shipping. Thanks for all your amazing videos, you rock 💕🤗
Amazon has done this to me so many times! Grrrrr!!! I type in specifics on a search and they sneak in something else and I didn't catch it till it arrived at my house.
Whenever I shop on Amazon, I always change how it is sorted from Featured (which is how it is always sorted to start off) to either price high to low or price low to high and then those sponsored listings don't show first! 😊
When i did the sort like that, a lot of items was missing from the list. Let say, for no sort, will be 100 items, but when you do the sort like the price low to high, only left 25 items....
I was so angry I typed in stainless steel free standing , compact frost freezer I was so angry when I realized it was not AND WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED IT WAS LEFT UPSIDE DOWN !! come on now
I don't know if you've touched on this before but... if you have an EBT card (meaning food stamps) you get Amazon Prime membership for half price...all the time.
Wow I was shocked at the Sponsored part Thank you for that I honestly would have never paid that any attention. My main online shopping is Amazon I have 3 daughters 2 sons so me and my husband try to find deals I like how you break things down. You have defenitly helped me so much. Thanks and I appreciate your video's🤑🙂
I wish there was a way to make Amazon only give you what your search words were. Egads, that is the most annoying thing. I've been debating the idea of only buying what I need when I need it, instead of following sales, stocking up, etc. I think that would be an excellent video experience for someone to do to compare which way really saves you money. I want to be like my father and he was a minimalist and would not stock up even when there is a sale on his favorites. I've searched for a book or video on this, but no luck except your video came up. Thoughts
I just found a 22inch webber grill for under 100 and my brother was gonna pay about 60 dollars more but i swooped in and got it for 100.46 cents after tax and even though it says used in good condition I know that its still gonna be just as good as if I bought it new. I've bought several things that said used but they were still in original package.
I have an extension that emails me when an item that qualifies for Amazon's shipping guarantee has been late. It gives me a copy and paste script for their chat function that already includes the order number. I am always given a $5 courtesy credit. It's still better than nothing! I've had 4 this year already so over the course of the year, it may very well end up paying for the subscription, or at the very least, making it a lot cheaper.
