Great list, JC. I luv the inclusion of PdM Pegasus Exclusif. I have the OG Pegasus and luv it. The only reason I haven't tried the Exclusif is I tend to stay away from flankers if I have the OG (diversification). Maybe I am limiting myself. I need to at least give it a try. I am now intrigued.
My husband and I love Gambit. I think it's a power fragrance. Business deals and suits. To me, it has a familiar DNA, but it's done better and with higher quality ingredients. Love it!
I'm new to the fragrance "obsession" ....like 3 months in, and already I've decided to move away from anything that isn't from a niche brand. For a little bit more I can buy a higher quality, deeper and more robust and unique fragrance. Thanks for your videos JC
I’m at 18. I started with some decent designer fragrances, then got two clones. I was sort of happy with what I had until I got Amouage Interlude Black Iris… changed everything. Then PDM Layton .. couple of Xerjoff’s and there really isn’t any reason to ever buy anything less. So I’ll probably just buy one or two bottles per year, but they’ll be quality buys.
@@TorianoCoutureone or two bottles a year.. I don't know about that😂 It's difficult to stop the urge of buying a new fragrance once you adapt this "obsession"
@@victoralhilali3893 I’ve been buying 1-2 per year and it’s working fine. It’s easy if you just budget about $30 per month and then you only have money for 1-2 niche per year 😂
Another great video with some less obvious choices to explore. 🙌🏻 Great to see Peggy Ex. brought up - one of my all time faves. I first smelled it blind and it absolutely blew my mind - earthy, woody, sweet, kinda creamy, almondy, peppery but smooth… man it just kinda does it all. This video inspired me to put some on and I’m bathing in its wonderful sillage right now… 🤤 I know people give PDM flack and some call it a ‘clone house’ or a ‘designer house’ but the Exlusif line for sure smells anything but derivative, or designer.
I do two, then reapply 1 more in 1-2 hours and it’s golden for me. I blind bought it for $149 on aura, thinking I’d like it all right and it was a home run for me.
I just got into Niche & been doin hella good I got Creed green Irish tweed I bought & wore for ma wedding Bond No.9 Beekman place, Bond No.9 Greenwich Village Bond No. Wallstreet MFK L’ homme a la Rose & MFK Oud Parfume De Marley Althier Parfume De Marley Layton Elysium Roja Luis Vuitton Imagination Luis Vuitton Afternoon swim I been spending mad bread lately in Bloomingdale’s in Beverly Hills South Central L.A. is finally smellin good cuz of me lol big salute to you bro keep your content goin!!!!
Hey Justin I was shopping for some Cheapies Yesterday and I watched a Video Review of Passion from Elizabeth Taylor and I was surprised to see That You were the Reviewer. They only Gave you 30 seconds to actually talk about the Fragrance but do you remember anything about making those Reviews?
Pegasus Exclusif is a favorite in my collection. The airy sweetness of vanilla layered with the darkness of the oud makes for an incredibly addicting scent.
I really appreciate content like this. I've been looking for a guide and your video came through at the right time. I have a sample on Vertus coming tomorrow. I have the Milano by Fragrance Du Bois, which reminds me of a less floral version of Urba Pura, I really like it. Anyways, I'm going to check out Oud Blue Intense. Thank you for the information again. 👍
Same here....This last month I got three Xerjoff colognes, 40 knots for $169 100ml (Tester). $129 for 100ml Decas (Tester) and then finally Naxos for $189 full meal deal. I haven't received the last two in the mail yet, but have had 40 knots for a few weeks now. I absolutely love this scent, but either I am going nose blind or this seems to be only projecting for a few hours. I give two sprays on my neck, two chest, inside each bend of elbow and each wrist. What is your experience?
@@TorianoCouture Funny I just purchased Naxos as well. As for 40 Knots. I wore it maybe 2/3 times. It lasts but doesn't scream off my skin. Unless I'm wrong I think it needs to be sprayed a few times and sit a while. I tested before bed and could still smell it in the morning. Faintly but it was still there.
@@LE_NOMAD90 there was a big sale on one of the bigger online discounters (JS) and so I figured it was time to dive into the niche waters. I asked my gf a bit after I stopped noticing it and she said it was faint, but present. I'll take that. Anyways, best wishes with it all and I got a feeling we're both gonna dig that Naxos.
I blame you for the hype on Vertus Vanilla Oud 🙌🙌and you are spot on 👌✨it is sooooo good!!! Got a bottle after TLTG talked about his experience when you wore it lol It is my go to ''sophisticated cool evening'' scent, especially when I want to ''smell like money''
I love PDM Pegasus exclusif. It's such a cool take on the original way more mystery and allure. Spicy and Woody but still sweet and smooth. It's awesome! I want to get my nose on the Alghabra one as well. Thanks as always for your insight! 🙂
I got a sample of gambit and my initial impression was that it was a very masculine spicy slightly sweet fragrance that has some versatility. I wore it a couple times and I can definitely understand what you mean by savage elixir vibe. (Savage elixir s was my favorite fall/winter frag) Ended up buying a bigger decant to wear a few more times and I just purchased my bottle yesterday. I plan on making it a work hard play hard scent.
I agree Mefisto is so refreshing on warm a day. 40 Knots is awesome too, but personally I prefer the similar Ambre Nuit by Dior. Then we get to Enclave, which is just phenomenal as usual from Amouage. Enclave is easy to wear & very versatile, yet still has that famed uniqueness from the brand.
Thank you for recommending Vanilla Oud which is currently my favorite Oud + Other note scent as the Vanilla which is probably the note which is easiest to like offsets the harshness of Oud WHILE the darkness of Oud keeps the cloying sweet side of Vanilla. Perfect counterbalance to polar opposite notes in a bottle that is perfectly blended. I also would suggest this for those wanting to dive into oud but is afraid as id say this is the perfect way to try the note. Thank you JC for Vanilla Oud and this video as well
Gambit is definitely my favorite by Mind Games out of both the Artisanal and Soulmates collection. Mefisto is an absolute love from Casamoratti under Xerjoff... but I am struggling to decide on a FB between that and Fiero. For me I love side effect for a club or bar, but for Date Cool I love the new Narcotic Delight. (Combining the two is insanity). Cool sophisticated Halfeti is really getting a big love from me. I like Carlisle more as a showstopper from PDM. Even Haltane
So, I have this mental roadblock that is... I'm strangely afraid to wear expensive niche fragrances for my everyday job which is painting/construction. For some reason I feel like it's a waste... crawling around on the floor, making messes, not making any significant memories or anything... but yet I want to wear niche instead of designer even if it's associated with nothing special. So, maybe a future video along the lines of "workhorse niche fragrances" or something like that? Fragrance suggestions are often for the white collar context. So, would be fun to hear niche ideas for blue collar work... maybe "throw away niche", or "beater niche" type fragrances. I know it sounds crazy but if there's anyone that might understand what I'm trying to say... it's you.
Hey Justin I just ordered vanilla oud last week ! But if I were to blind buy this or Gris Charnel which one would you have recommended? I tried to ask other reviewers but no reply so I went with one I know I’d like because of vanilla and oud
Gris charnel is a decent blind buy, think of it like a niche La nuit d lhomme, I'd rec the extrait over the original....i wanna blind buy vanilla oud too....buy looking for a better deal
@@HeavenlyDemon592 thanks for sharing your insight! I like that idea of it being a niche version of la nuit de l’homme! I don’t have la nuit de l’homme but I’ll have to try it again!
Hey Adrian. It sounds like you’ve already blind bought Vanilla Oud 😅 so if you’re wondering about Gris Charnel, I’d get a sample. It’s quite different from Vanilla Oud so I wouldn’t compare them. It’s a fairly unique scent, very unisex.
A great list, Justin! One recommendation I'd recommend for warm daytime is Jovoy 21 Conduit St. To me, it's in the same lane as Roja Burlington, but maybe even... dare I say... a smidge better.
@@stayfreshproductions oh, excellent! I have been weighing it carefully for a while. Definitely adding Tonkazure to my wishlist then! I look forward to learning more about your categorization of Gallagher Fragrances. I have the discovery set, and have been enjoying it immensely... And yes, I eventually fell asleep that 2am dawn, hehe!
If we wear anything with oud over here in the Middle East in the summer.. we would be considered certifiably crazy 😂 but keep in mind that where I’m from, we hit 64 degrees celsius (148 f) so that’s a summer migraine waiting to happen. I feel like something along the lines of Silver Mountain Water would be more appropriate for all seasons.
Ma Man Justin Is On Fire 🔥 Lately! Excellent collection Indeed ❤ Super Curious About Alghabra Now 😎 Let's Help Justin To Reach 100K Mark Guys! Our Morgan Freeman Of FraG World Definitely Deserves It ❤
Justin, this is a fantastic list. Question for you: my uncle is in his late 60’s, is an extremely wealthy retired business owner and lives in Los Angeles. He enjoys nice things and budget isn’t a factor. He’s somewhat extroverted and enjoys hosting social gatherings and parties. Just got remarried to a blonde ex playboy playmate LOL you get the picture… Which houses would you suggest he look into?
@@vergilxii988 ehh, while that is an old school banger- it’s also cheap and common. I’m sure he’d wear it casually- but I’m looking for something to recommend him for nicer occasions.
So I just started exploring Amouage. Bought some samples and while I had high hopes for Enclave the wife is absolutely repulsed by it and says it smells like boudreaux butt paste 😂 😂 😂 can't say I have ever smelled that but here we are 😂. It's worth noting that she loved Search and while I haven't bought search yet I did buy Honour and Interlude.
I have a sample of franck boclet tobacco, it's real nice but it straight up smells like a honey pie to me and my brother. Not sure i wanna smell like cake lol
Eye of Seven Hills....I did get a sample and it was far too sweet for me, and maybe what bothered me was that the sweetness leans feminine to my nose. Vertus Vanilla Oud is beautiful. Profound unisex scent. Pegasus Exclusif.... doesn't convince up close but it is so gorgeously balanced in the air.
Thank you for replying. I like the fresh vibe it has. It’s fresher than Dylan Blue and BDC, but I prefer the performance of those two. Mefisto may be something I need to spray a couple extra times and trust people will smell it
Side effect ? Really? I don’t think EOSH smells alike… different sniffer I use side effect when it’s time to get down!! Because that ecstasy note drives her crazy.. EOSH doesn’t do the same thing it’s a different animal…. But I do agree a one spray on your inside of your arm will do it
The lies you tell . For the price they want for a Niche fragrance I will never need any of them. I'll be buying a Designer fragrance until death do us part. And get the same results.
