good point on checking the local best buys for sales. I found a copy of bravely default II for 25$, which was cheaper than any other sale that was advertised at the time.
Been binge watching you and these videos and my wallets taking a hit as a result. Purchased: Ys VIII $65, Persona 5 $30, NieR: Automata $30, Astral Chain $50, Fire Emblem: Three Houses $30. Found some great deals out there!
Harvestella is such a great game and yeah it will likely get rare later on. Especially if Square refuse to print any more physical copies for the NA region.
Most of these games aren't rare but I can see games like The Diofield Chronicle and Harvestella becoming hard to find and valuable in the future. 1 game you might want to mention in a future video is Jojo's bizarre adventure All star battle R. It was on sale for $18 at GameStop but it went back up to $27 and is getting harder to find.
Fun series of videos! Idea Factory recently reprinted a bunch of their rare RPGs like Megadimension Neptunia V II and Dragon Star Varnir, and Nicalis’ stock of Switch games is starting to get sold out like Code of Princess 15th Anniversary and Tiny Barbarian. Maybe we’ll finally see some prices drop to $20 and below, because it doesn’t happen with the AAA Switch games much.
Games id recommend to cover on these videos: Bug Fables (only Classic Paper Mario like game) Little Witch Nobeta Demon Turf Grim Fandango Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series Signalis Blasphemous Live A Live Daemon x Machine Worlds End Club Eastward Pocky & Rocky Reshrined
These are great suggestions, and I have the same feeling about Harvestella and Age of Calamity. Definitely keep your eyes peeled if these Are games you want to play. If youre just in it for the resell value, there are faster ways to make money than to sit on something for 20 years and make just 100$ But hey, people can do whatever they want :}
I think its more because of the extra stuff included. With Hollow Knight for example it has a manual and a map so cib copies of that will most likely get above msrp eventually. Same with other games like Stardew Valley and Undertale.
They are working on it, it going to surprise, no FE nor Zelda. More like Persona 5 Strikers. Just hang on. Pikmin Warriors defending Hyrule Kingdom by Koei Tecmo.
Great Video, Showing that Indie Love! It's also worth noting that we are possibly in the Switch's last days (sadly) and historically the last year of a console sees reduction in the print runs. Especially with Nintendo. Might be safe to grab any titles from 2023 for the switch that you really want.
Great list! Diofield Chronicles is a fun game. Put in 30 hrs into it and still have plenty of gameplay left. Glad to have it physically along with the steelbook.. just beat Trinity Trigger & now enjoying TOTK. 👍
As I own 90% of all consoles old and current and I DO enjoy my Switch, the problem is with Nintendo period is they very rarely drop any prices on their physical copies of games. Especially on the major franchises: Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Xenoblade, ect.
Rare only means limited print cause it didn’t sell well or wasn’t popular enough. Some like to say rare when that’s not the case. Especially eBay sellers saying something is rare when it’s not.
I just got Toads Treasure Tracker, Tropical Freeze, and Super Mario 3d world/browsers fury for $87 at gamestop (complete in box). GS currently has a buy two get one free deal.
It's funny how two of the three Square Enix games that you mentioned I have. I'm a huge FF fan and I was curious about Harvestella, so I picked up both the week they came out
Hey man I just came across your channel two days ago searching for content like this. I proceeded to watch volumes 1-8 and I love this content. Super excited for today's episode. Keep up the great work.
I got the last copy of Diofield from my local BestBuy. Had to ask customer service about it because they had it listed as in stock on their website but it wasn't on the shelf. When the guy came back from storage with it he said it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. 😅 So yeah, if it was that hard to get when it first released it will 100% be rare later. Good solid game too. Shame most people shrugged it off.
Nice list O.J.👍! I´m holding out on Captain Toud for years, I´m kind of to stupid to play those games, takes me ages to solve. Cadence of Hyrule Crypt of the NecroDancer can be bought now, that one won´t get restocked.
