actually the homer simpson one isnt true as if you search up clone pilot helmet you can easily tell that "homer simpson" is just a clone with that specific helmet
@@jonathanobrien1752 NO! Don't believe the lies... (Seriously, let Easter Eggs be Easter Eggs... I'm fine with seeing the Enterprise in the RTF, or the Falcon at Sector 001- at long as its a hidden treat.) THE DOMINION WAR NEVER HAPPENED, AND CHANGELINGS AREN'T REAL!
The homer detail just makes me think that the Jar-Jar binks sith theory is true. Ppl who defend it use the argument(?) that George Lucas uses small details & jarjar is seen multiple times doing things very subtly
While that’s definitely not what Lucas intended, that is indeed a fun video to watch. Essentially, Lucas needed certain things to happen (like the appointment of emergency powers) to allow Palpatine to end up as Emperor, and Jar Jar was around when those events were happening, so Lucas used him for some of them. But when looking at it all combined, it does look like Binks did several things that only a Sith would be able to do (like randomly winning the droid battle in Ep 1) in order to ensure Palpatine became Emperor. It’s not true, but it’s something that can happen when so many stories are written about the same characters, and the stories aren’t all written in order.
Yea no. Clone Pilot helmets are yellow and the Homer Simpson thing was a made up gag by someone on the internet. If you zoom up on the still you can clearly see the clone pilot helmet with its distinctive features plus the respirator system (or the “stubble”)
Plus the pilot looks nothing like Homer. The commonality of "clone armour being round and smooth" is about as far as it goes, considering the pilot's head doesn't even look very yellow to me. More reaching and wishlisting.
Anakin’s last words to R2 were “Stay with the ship” Fast forward 21 years to Empire, Luke says “R2 you stay put”, after that he doesn’t let Luke out of his sight
Fun fact, Boushh's helmet that Leia uses in Episode 6 had the number 1138 on the side of it (a reference that appears on most Star Wars media, like Commander Bacara being clone commander CC 1138). People found this easter egg in 1996, when they released a Boushh action figure, a full 13 years after Episode 6 came out.
I don’t know why there’s any argument about whether “our” universe and the Star Wars one are connected, when the very first thing we ever saw of Star Wars was “… a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…“. That specifically puts it spatially and chronologically in this universe. It’s referenced to be “a long time ago”, so, from now. And “far, far away”, so, from here. It’s quite clear.
Yes but something that happened a long long time ago could be something that happened far far away. Because the light takes a long long time to get to us. It could have happened at the same time as our galaxy physically but the light would take years and years to reach us. Supernovae that we see now, happened a long long time ago.
@@kevindagod I know that, I’m saying that by referring to it’s distance and difference in time, that it’s in our admittedly infinite universe, not in some other dimension where Earth doesn’t exist. Does that make more sense? Because I agree with you- maybe I just wasn’t as clear as I was trying to be 🙂
@@tunguskalumberjack9987 I agree. Just want in our galaxy. And they say that. In a galaxy far dark away...could still be I'm out time lol. Just far way. Who knows, a long long time ago could be our time now and they travel hyperspace to us in the present.
I remember hearing either in the concept for or the original book of A New Hope had some type of alien telling the story of the Star Wars. I never made it into the movie obviously, but it could be debated on its canon status.
your right, the homer simpson one isnt true as if you search up clone pilot helmet you can easily tell that "homer simpson" is just a clone with that specific helmet
Biggest stretch in Star Wars fandom. Perhaps the sh-tiest consipiracy theory in the SW universe. I did thoroughly enjoy everything else until that spout of nonsense
Actually, there's another falcon Easter egg in star wars! Specifically in clone wars. In the blue shadow virus episode, I think around 20 something minutes, I think it's 27, in the bottom right corner of a painting for a scene, the falcon is on a landing pad while a cliff side waterfall towers near. Really interesting find!
The Yoda reference in the Halloween costume scene in ET is also in the soundtrack, and I'm surprised this hasn't been noticed before. Have a listen to John Williams' "ET's Halloween" track, and you can hear a little bit of his "Yoda's Theme" mixed in. Personally I think this musical build-up to the famous "Flying Theme" is one of John Williams' most incredible pieces of music.
The problem with the theory that ET exists in Star Wars is that at one point in ET, Elliott shows ET his Star Wars figures. So that means that somehow the Star Wars movies exist in the Star Wars universe and therefore it is our universe in. Star Wars is apparently non-fiction. Or, alternatively, we are taking a joke way too seriously
This channel makes a lot of clickbait, especially since half of the "secrets" are either well known (and not secrets) or outright false (and not secrets).
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
I got one.. The actor Julian Glover who played as General Maximilian Veers in ESB is the same actor who portrayed the character of Grand Maester Pycelle in Game of Thrones.
The nearer to light speed the weirder time is perceived by the traveler vs the observer. Also “a long time ago “ is pretty vague. I mean it’s a matter of perspective. All galaxies are far, far away from each other so I think a cosmologist can answer this
I'll be that guy who nitpicks. 1. The box 9906763 from Indiana Jones was created to hold the arch of the covenant in 1936 was still in 1957. 2. That means sometime after 1957 the arch was moved from the warehouse to the Falcon, which would need to have happened before Han took possession of the Falcon which is about 10 years before Episode 4. 3. So, the first time we (inhabitants of Earth) were told "A long time ago" was 1977. 4. So, being generous, if box 9906763 was transferred from the Nevada warehouse to the Falcon immediately after the events of Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls (maybe the aliens picked it up before leaving) and then Han acquired the Falcon immediately after box 9906763 was placed on the Falcon, that would mean that the events of A New Hope took place in 1967. This would put the events in Star Wars as so in earth years: E1 = 1935 E2 = 1945 E3 = 1948 E4 = 1967 E5 = 1970 E6 = 1971 E7 = 2001 E8 = 2001 E9 = 2002 Then if you look at it compared to the year the move came out, it tells us how "long time ago" each was: E1 = 64 years E2 = 57 years E3 = 57 years E4 = 10 years E5 = 10 years E6 = 12 years E7 = 14 years E8 = 16 years E9 = 17 years Maybe you can justify that 64 years was a "Long time ago", and that is a stretch. But 10 years being a "long time ago'. No. So the real answer is that these references are just fun little nods to real world facts, or at the least in world coincidences.
@@thoseclipsyouvebeenlooking1289 Exactly. Thanks for doing the numbers on this. I knew that the theory made little sense. Even within Indy's own universe, I never quite knew how the Ark made it to the catacombs in Venice in 1938 but then back in possession of the US government a couple decades later. Not impossible buy seems like a whole other story that we never got, at least not on screen.
The encounter in entry 2 is expanded even further in the story "faith in an old friend" from the compendium of short stories that is " the empire strikes back: from a certain point of view". In it, we learn about the entity known as the millennium collective, comprised of L3, V5-T (a transport droid built in to the falcon during construction), and ED-4 (a corporate espionage droid uploaded to the falcon prior to its ownership by lando). The 3 separate entities of the 3 droids make up the one entity, meaning that they interchangeably use the singular and collective in the same conversation. Both of the certain point of view books are very worth reading in my opinion as it provides so much more to the original trilogy movies. Im very much looking forward to the return of the jedi volume next year for the 40th anniversary of the movies release
@@edwardbloecher4563 Ok so the guy could have said frieghter with an accent and youtubes auto subtitles could have miss heard it just like us so i was just saying how youtube might have made a mistake too.
The Milenium Falcon appears in Star Trek First Contact during the Battle of Earth against the Borg. Also the USS Enterprise appears in Star Wars and can be seen in the traffic visible from inside the jedi temple. Also the clothes for Han Solo was supposed to be for Indiana Jones, but the delivery got mixed up and there was no time to delay the filming, so Harison Ford wore the iconic outfits on the sets as we know them today.
Theres a comic book where Han and chewy crash land on earth and get captured by native Americans. Years later Indiana Jones, digs up what he believes is Bigfoot but is actually Chewy's corpse.
9:06 quick correction, this did happen but the ship was hans baleen class heavy freighter 'eravana' that he was using while looking for the falcon, not the falcon itself. I always wondered why they specified the container number for that specific container in page 36 of the force awakens incredible cross sections book, now I know!
There's an Easter egg from 2001: A Space Odyssey in The Phantom Menace, as well. If you look closely in Watto's junkyard, you'll see one of the Discovery's EVA pods next to one of the buildings. It was even seen in the Star Wars Complete Locations book on page 31. The caption describes it as a "repair and maintenance pod of unknown origin." 😎👍
Well, this list reminded me why I hate the expanded universe ^^ was the millennium falcon just a ship that was manufactured, did generic ship activities and was eventually won by someone who happened to get involved with the rebellion? Course not! Course it was involved with an anti-emperor group. Jesus Christ. Why stop there? Why not have Yoda fly it when he helped celebrate the CEC's 1 millionth ship or something **ahem**
let me get this right so solo a starwars story is in this 9:33 yet you say "if han solo's kessel run boast is to be believed" 2:18 if you guys gonna take this stuff from other websites/list at least site your sources or if it's your article then how about a link to it this just screams untrustworthy and scumy channel
In Heir to the Empire, Luke is recovering from the injuries given to him by Palpatine. He's drinking hot chocolate which Lando had found on a planet he once visited. This was a hint that it was Earth. That book is still considered Canon because of the use of the planet Coruscant. It originated in that novel.
Starwars takes place a long time ago (hot chocolate probably not yet invented) in galaxy far far away. I know it is fantasy but I doubt the ships were fast enough to travel to the milkyway and back and be in time to destroy the deathstar 2
@@kelteel what you have to remember that was used by ancient civilizations and that even here a lot of people didn't hear of it until the 18th century. Never mind the fact that it's science fiction and then go as fast as they want LOL
Could the white bushy bearded fellow in the strike team on Endor have possibly been the former governor Ryder Azadi of Lothal before the imperial appointed governor?
I thought it was awesome after the connection was pointed out to me then I see him among the prisoners wearing some stormtrooper armor as an attempted disguise.
Especially considering it looks more like a goatee than a full beard, and the character really doesn't look anything like Rex, AND Rez would have been the equivalent of 200 years old and dead by then...
@@ScooterinAB doing very rough math, he would be the equivalent of 72 years old. roughly 36 years old with the doubled clone aging rate. couldent quickly find his exact birthrate but knowing he's a generation 1, means he was probebly created roughly 10 years before the start of the clone wars. making him 10 in 22bby, the start of the clone wars. so 36 years old at the second death star battle on endor. double for clone aging rate and its 72. so, super old for a warrior but still theoretically possible considering the clones had a high quality genetic template in Jango fett.
An even more bad-ass moment from R2, And I'm forgetting if it was from the prequels, Or the clone wars. But remember that time he squirted a platform with oil and then used His Built-in propulsion jets I guess is what they are is what they are, to set 2 storm troopers on fire? That's not just bad-ass that's ruthless, He Quite literally Severely injured 2 people, or very possibly killed them in what is arguably one of the most painful ways to die.
That was in Revenge of the Sith and it was a pair of B2 Super Battledroids in the hangar bay of The Invisible Hand on the mission to rescue the Chancellor during the Battle of Coruscant.
Fuck that trekkie, he ruined the sequels on purpose because he actually hates Star Wars and to make his shitty trek movies appear better. I will die on this hill
I’ve always found it really stupid that R2D2 doesn’t speak English. He understands English, because everyone speaks to him in English, including C-3PO for some reason. So he obviously knows the language. Then he also obviously has the technical ability to make the sounds, as evident by his playing the recording of Leia. Yet for some reason instead of the programmed droid communicating in a common language, it makes more sense for everyone else to become fluent in the machines language?
Alternatively, C3PO's comment that the Falcon's computer has an odd dialect, because the computer was originally L3-3T, could be interpreted that the Falcon's computer uses L33T5P33K.
In the episode of clone wars where Kenobi and Vos go to nal hutta, the entertainment provided for the hutts, in huttese of course is the song and dance number from the beginning of Temple of doom
i literally just learned that richard was in the phantom menace a few days ago when i was looking him up out of curiosity i wasn't even intending to find fun facts about him
And let's not forget R2 whipping past the view screen of the USS Enterprise in J.J. Abrams reboot. He's part of the Starfleet wreckage just as they come out of warp. And then we have John Ratzenberger/Cliff Clavin in Empire as a rebel soldier on Hoth (first acting gig). Great vid!
She's only part of the Falcons computer, there are two other parts to make the whole. They have a story in the Empire strikes back "from a certain point of view" book. She's get all torn up when she "sees" Lando. It was actually a good story.
Wasn't the falcon all those times...just common..which is why in the originals it's often ridiculed and laughed at..being called junk and scrap...his only defense was he made modifications...that were always going out 😂😆 "Chewy! Help! Hyper drive is out 37th time this week! But I still have a trick up my sleeve..." Lmao
Tremendous video! LOVED it, especially having Lotus in there (a bit of British engineering excellence)! Lots of hard work obviously went into this and it is top class. Me and my son, Billy, both thought this was outstanding work.
If E.T. is in the Star Wars universe then Star Wars action figures are also in the Star Wars universe? Star Wars clearly says A LONG TIME AGO the government wouldn't have been around to box The Ark yet. It's either a coincidence or poor writing. Speaking of which, Homer, just sad.
Repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ he is coming again to judge the whole world according to their deeds. The Bible says “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” He which testifieth these thing is Jesus Christ which died and rose again from the grave saying himself that he is coming quickly how much should we then believe his word for he cannot lie. God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19)Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh that he can die for our sins. The Bible says “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Get right with Christ because he coming back quickly and we don’t know when he is coming back. The Bible says,”But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.” Mat 25:13¶Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Again Jesus Christ said it again and shall he not keep what he says. Jesus even told us what to do he said to watch. We have to be prepared and turn away from our sins and come to the Jesus Christ. Tell me, what shall you say when the creator of the whole universe judge you when you have rejected Jesus Christ who dies for your sins and gave you a way to escape this judgment to condemnation. For it is written in the Bible, “2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” Therefore, since we have to be judge by God let us be prepared for his second and do his will and enter into Heaven to be with Christ Jesus forever and ever. No more to die and have pain of this world. If we believe in Jesus Christ and Do his father’s will we shall enter into Heaven. There is a resurrection of the good and there is a resurrection of the evil. Which one will you be a part of? It is written Mat 25:46”And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
Capt Rex, Endor...that's just retconning. When will these uber nerds stop acting like what was made 40 years ago is in anyway connected to everything made later just because you want it to be. It's more like, Rex wasn't on Endor. The old man on Endor went back in time and became Rex because Filoni or fans said so.
#10.....you folks couldn't do better? 😐 As I'm writing thing this it's getting worse. Who writes this, and why do I keep watching these videos once a month? Where is the 👎 anymore?
Already mentioned (I know, old vid) but it wasn't the Falcon that had the sealed, unknown cargo pod. It was the ship Han had at the beginning of The Force Awakens that was carrying the Ark.
So where is the scene that corresponds to the thumbnail picture? Was that just pathetic click bait? Has WhatCulture become that desperate? Hmm. Well, I just won't watch any WhatCulture channel for pulling that kind of BS. No respect for anyone else's time.
Blah, blah, blah. I knew that was an ET like family back when it first came out in 1999 when I first watched it. I even pointed it out to a friend of mine who was more of a Star Wars nut than me. He said he had to watch the movie in theaters several times in order to see what I was talking about and it just so happened I was looking at that part of the screen when I noticed it, I just thought everyone knew that. He still did not think there was a connection to ET in Star Wars. I told him that when Obi-wan sliced Darth Maul in half there was blood and he said no, they won't put blood in a PG movie for kids, I said watch it again. I also told him there was blood in Star Wars IV A New Hope when Obi-wan cut the arm of the dude in the bar scene, my friend also told me that was not blood. I give credit to the guy who made this video for finding some stuff I didn't even see, but please cut out the rambling non-sense of unimportant stuff; this video could have been cut down to almost half the length. I know I know it's his channel, but do we really need to know that "this was when CGI was in it's infancy" Just point out the stuff and get on with it. Some people I guess like hearing themselves talk, makes them feel important or intelligent.
Parsecs is a measure of distance, not time, you don't need to time travel to do the Kessel run in 12 parsecs, you need to be an insanely good pilot to get through all the asteroids n shit. Filoni literally said that Sant and Rex aren't the same person. White beards aren't notable. Are Rex, Obi Wan, Mundi, Dooku, etc all the same person too? They have white beards after all
