One issue I've noticed with Geological Landforms is that it seems really reluctant to generate mountains. You'll land in a "mountain" tile and it'll just give you Larger Hills.
Oh really, I guess I've only ever used it for one specific interesting tile, I guess I haven't tried generating a mountain map with that mod on. Some really cool ones with that mod though
Replace Stuff is an amazing QoL mod, just lets you replace things with a different material without waiting for it to be deconstructed to put the blueprint. e.g wooden walls to stone walls
For everyone who doesn't want to cheese the system too much with those unfinished jobs. There is a mod called "Finish it!" which adds a gizmo to force the pawn (if it didn't die once or went out for too long) to finish that unfinished item
Complex Jobs, Allow Tool and one you missed RimHud ... never rim without them. A new one on my list as essential is caravan formation improvement which allows you to select entry and exit points for your caravans ... got tired of my caravans coming back and entering next to a sleeping mech hive, man hunting pack or preparing raid ....
Oh I do love me some rimhud, just so much tidier. Have also used the caravan one too that's a great one, so annoying having to worry about where your caravan is coming back from!
I have the Snap Out and Allow mods installed already. As far as other QOL mods, I never play without these 5: 1) Moody 2) Smart Medicine 3) Common Sense 4) Map Preview 4) More planning
I tried out complex jobs mod the other day and I don't know if I did something wrong but see how each job's text alternates in height (So firefight is higher, patient is lower, doctor is higher, nurse is lower etc). Mine doesn't do that. All the job titles are at the same height so all the text is overlapping and I can hardly even tell which job is which 😂
Oh dear. Might be worth checking any other UI mods you have and see if removing any fixes it. Other than that maybe if another mod is adding extra jobs it could be having an effect I guess
I think the mental breakdowns in rimworld are possibly the least favorite feature and i personally use a mod to completely remove that feature of the game.
Yeah, the mental breakdowns can be nonsensical. You are telling me that you went on a killing spree because you 'Ate without a table' one to many times?? It's not my fault that you couldn't be bothered to walk to a table. You crash landed on a planted and are too good to sit on the ground and eat the meal you carried with you when you went out mining? I just go into Dev mode and click 'Stop Mental break/state'. However, that is annoying to have to do when everyone is upset that we ate the raiders that just tried to kill us. Waste not want not...LOL I will definitely be installing the Tweaks Galore mod.
