The recent Blonde "Against All Odd" box set is really cool and I still admire the Uber Deluxe version of U2s Achtung Baby from 2011, complete with fly shades. I like the Rush SDEs, Moving Pictures that came with drum sticks and a model car was a highlight. Plus, as a few people have mentioned, the Appetite For Destruction Locked N Loaded cabinet :-)

Extremely cool video! “The airplane flies high” by the PUMPKINS saw a re-release in 2013 with (yet) more unreleased stuff (different packaging, though). ROB ZOMBIE also released a big coffin-shaped cd with many goodies for one of his “Hellbillie deluxe” albums. TORI AMOS’s box set in the shape of piano keys was also very cool looking

I like the Eddie's Archive, which I have. Also it is a numbered edition. Also the ACDC box set I like.

Waa at the yes show Spectrum Theatre, Philadelphia, 12th July 1991, that was included in the yes union boxset. They played in the round. Also saw the capital centre, large, MD, in the round and Patriot center, fairfax VA that was not in the round.

Poor Brendon is gonna spend more time putting all those box sets back together than it took to make the video. 😂. Really interesting upload and great to see these in all their glory.

At first glance at the thumbnail I thought it was the Live Sh*t boxset by Metallica. Thats pretty cool too, but I do agree the coffin is a lot more unique. Although their fan cans are pretty dope too.

I have Soundtrack To The Apocalypse and it's my favourite box set. I would love to have that Eddie's Archives. I do have all the stand alone cds though.

I remember being in my local music store when the Iron Maiden boxset came out. I literally had one in my hands but didn't buy it......wish I had now 😢

Of the ones you featured, I just have the AC/DC - Backtracks Super Deluxe Amp Box set. A couple others that are unique I have: Metallica - Francais Pour Une Nuit: Live Aux Arenes De Nimes 2009 limited numbered edition box set. This one was a box set that contained the DVD video of their live concert in the ancient Roman Amphitheatre in Nimes, France. In addition to the DVD video, it also contained a CD of Death Magnetic, a Large T-Shirt (still have it in the box never worn,) a laminated pass lanyard, and five exclusive photos of the band. What makes this box unique was the box itself was circular with a lift top that was supposed to represent the Amphitheatre and it had words written in Latin along with Roman Numerals on the box. Pretty cool, if you ask me. Anyway, I had to import this one from Europe and pay more than what it would've cost had it been available in the U.S. I'm not sure, but I think officially the only way you could get it was either importing it from France/Europe (it was only sold in France.) Metallica's website may have had a few copies for sale on the website when it first became available and then sold out quickly. Elvis Presley - The Complete Elvis Presley Masters Limited Numbered Edition Box Set. - Was only limited to 1000 copies worldwide (first run) and it sold out before it was even released. I knew it would and I pre-ordered it the day it went on sale back in 2010. I cost over $700 but worth every single penny. Contained 30-CDs and had every known song that Elvis recorded and was officially released during his lifetime (studio and live.) The first 27 of the 30 CDs contained those master recordings. The final 3-CDs were bonus CDs that contained various outtakes, takes, live performances, interviews, and other rare recordings that were never released during his lifetime. 711 of the songs are master recordings released during his lifetime and 103 songs are the rare recordings on the 3 bonus CDs. This box set is a monster. It's big and heavy. Besides the CDs, there is a bug book included in the Box, detailing each song and the sessions with lots of rare photos, essays, etc. Also, there is a nice big foldout case that contain the 30 CDs. The songs are presented in chronological order of the recording dates, in both the book and on CD. When listening to Elvis, and wanting to get a feel for how his career developed, it's the best way to listen to him, IMO. Some people prefer listening to his albums in album release date order but that is misleading due to The Colonel holding back songs from earlier sessions to include on later albums. So, when listening to his albums by release date, you are not getting a true listening experience of his career development. This box set rectifies that. It is definitely my prized piece in my entire music collection. Certificate of Authenticity came with it also with the limited number of my set. The original Shipping Box also has the limited number on the outside. I store my box set in the originally shipping box because of it. Many, many people were disappointed that it sold out before it was released. So, they did decided to do a short 2nd run of it for the people who missed out. But the 2nd run was not a limited numbered edition and did not contain a certificate of Authenticity. The 2nd run, I believe, cost the same exact price as the limited numbered first edition. The Doors - Perception Box Set - 12 discs (6 CD & 6 DVD) containing new remasters (CDs) and remixes (DVD) at the time celebrating their 40th anniversary. Unfortunately, I only have the reissued box set that was a more slimmed down version of the box. The original version of the box is bigger and has a peephole. For a short time, this box was my goto version when I wanted to listen to entire Doors discography (with Jim Morrison.) Since then, Analogue Production put out Hybrid SACD box set called Infinite back in 2013. That is probably my best sounding Doors set (I have like 6 or 7 versions of their complete Discography, not to mention some extra versions of the S/T album and L.A. Woman.) Pink Floyd - Immersion Sets............Who doesn't like marbles, scarves, and cup mats? Just kidding. LOL I think the original Judas Priest Remasters set was unique in that each CD contained a Letter on the spine and when put altogether it spelled "Judas Priest" along with their Cross logo on fire. Similarly, the ongoing Def Leppard Volumes Boxes will eventually show the complete Def Leppard Logo when put altogether. We are just missing that Volume 4 which will complete the Logo when put altogether, displayed on the shelf. One last note: I regret not being able to get the Eddie's Archive Box Set. That was released in 2002 and money was tight then for me. I had lost my job in 2001 and I was still out of work in 2002. So, I couldn't buy it. I remember seeing a couple of them in Best Buy when it was first released and I just couldn't pull the trigger on it, not knowing how long I would still be out of work. As I look back on it now, I probably could've scrounged up enough money to buy it, either from savings or borrowing from relatives, but I was afraid of not knowing what my job situation was going to be and how much longer I was going to be out of work. I refuse to pay outrageous prices for used copies, especially if they are the 2nd edition ones. I have many other Box sets (not as many as Brendon,) but can't recall off the top of my head specific box sets that have unique things that visually distinguishes them from other Box Sets.

Another one was the Grand Funk Railroads "Trunk of Funk" with a copper opening latch, and which came with the first 4 remasters all individuly numbered only 10.000 worldwide, sticker guitar pick and a pair of Shinin' On 3D glasses. And had to get tge other 8 remastered cds released over the next year. Also the 2001 Judas Priest the Remastered cube box set.

My most unique box set is a little bit older. It's the 'Live shit binge & purge' by Metallica from 1993. I saw Metallica 2 years before supporting AC/DC in the Liebenau Stadium Graz/Austria! So this box set was an absolutely MUST HAVE for me! By the way, I can still feel my ears smoking over 32 years after that concert!🤘

Are there any differences between the two versions of the Iron Maiden archives, other than blue vs red felt on the inside? Does the newer version have the same content?

If I recall there was no information about the Pumpkins box set explaining why there were so many songs on it so I was confused for years as to what it was and thought it was stupid, lol. There is a major story about how the industry do NOT properly identify their products and explain what they are in particular when compilations (and sometimes re-issues). I think at times these things are done (or not) on purpose which I have a level of understanding and MAYBE patience for but other times I feel they were simply not done appropriately in terms of expelling somewhere on them what they were/are. I call most compilations, "hybrid", compilations because few compile just one type of song.

I used to have that Smashing pumpkins box. Not that special actually, it had some unique bonus tracks but the reissued expanded version has way more bonus tracks. I threw away the box because the handle turned ugly yellow and as a whole it took too much space. I still have the discs and booklet.

I'm really surprised you didn't start with Metallica's Live Shit Bing & Purge set from '93. Eddie's Archive had a song called Black Bart that was unavailable for years. They used to play it on Z Rock all the time.
