I got into parkour because of my boyfriend, I recently practised with some stuff. I tried doing some wall runs, kongs, and precision jumps and I'm really proud of my progress! I jumped 2 meters far and I'm about 5'2. I'm always looking to do my best and I really hope I'll get smoother with parkour one day! It just seems hella fun

Nick for a kong vault we can use variations like Kong gainer , kash vault , kash roll , elevator kong frontflip , double kong , triple kong , quadra kong . I imagine if i go outside and use a big drop and do a dive roll motion over something and on the other gap i bring it into a frontflip and land with a shoulder roll :) .

Eariler today my 5 year old sister tried to do a backflip off of the 2ft foot rest high with no context. they weren't doing it in the movie she was watching and I was practicing simple parkour using the pillows and the couch as platforms but not even saying anything about flips.. She just tried to do a backflip. Long story short she landed on her head. Shes ok just has a bruise.

For the vertical wall run we Can use a variation like a two steps wallflip. And for a tic tac we Can use a variation by adding a Palm spin gainer . Last Time i tried to do strides and almost tore a ligament in my ankle because the obstacles were thinner than what it should be .

I turned 30 this year. I've been stretching daily and want to get in better shape and do something fun when I get there. I love climbing and I'm also aware that I'm quite good at at and freak out my freinds sometimes with my lack of fear. Somebody tell me I am not too old to want to get into parkour lol 😅 I've been getting really into watching freerunning and rooftoppping and I think it would be fun as shit

Never been to a parkour gym, can execute these without difficulty. Taught myself how to do them. Except the kong vault, have not used that a lot, takes a little more effort for me to do that. First thing that I learned was the speed vault. When I did learn that, at thetime, I didn't even know that there was a name for that.

I'm going to practice these moves and then I'm going to start sprinkling them in as I walk with my buddies down the city streets. Hee hee! It won't hurt my cool quotient.

Parkour is very fun. I'm very good at it as I've been doing it a while, but I suggest if you want to learn it try some classes! Its quite worth your time.

Being a quadrobist this was, kind of easy, painful for ages though. Need to practice.

i understand a lot better now than when i was younger because of something i learned inbetween. that thing is: body mechanics. i used to do these with trial and error, but if i just grasped those mechanics, id be a hell of a lot further in parkour than i am now. i learned body mechanics while doing historical fencing, aka actual swordsmanship. i think this aspect of parkour is really undervalued in the community. you could do tremendously better as an instructor if you understood these principles more thoroughly and explained them to your students. for example, setting out core principles could be extremely helpful for some learners. so rather than showing them just the tricks, youre giving them the means by which to make their own, or to figure out the optimal ways in which to incorporate these techniques. i find theres not enough emphasis in form in parkour.

I remember when i used to use parkour to come back from school... Once i jumped from a moving bus and did the shoulder roll and kept running, and once i did a 3 steps tic tac to jump over some girls that were way taller than me
