Imagine watching a movie with her: Her: *pauses the channel every 5 seconds* “oh my gosh! Did you see that? Nemo’s fin is shaped inappropriately!” Aladdin: *doing the OK sign with his hand* Her: *gasps* He’s throwing up a white power sign! Why is this in a children’s movie??
The reason why the faces look distorted when you pause at random moments is because there is something called "animation smear", and without it, animations would look stiff and unnatural.
Her: Why would they make this in a kids movie Me: Ummmm most kids don’t pause the movie at random times to see if someone’s nose is “inappropriate” or if there teeth are slightly moved. Her: BUT! Did you see this one? Me: same thing. Her:😶😶😶
Happens the same if you pause a video randomly I learned this by trying to screen shot a picture of a concert and I got hilarious out comes on accident
They never mentioned it in the video, but if you watch Beauty and The Beast (original) When Gaston is falling from the cliff and you quickly look at his eyes you can see a skull in them. It was removed in the Blue-Ray version, but its always there in the DvD
Let me explain Animations use several frames to animate so when you pause the movie you get one frame that may just be a frame used to move the character from one area to another so it may look stretched because they stretch the character to make it look like they are moving
Pretty much all of it is explained by persistence of memory. A lot of frames have to be drawn or animated purposefully off its shape or form so that the end result is much more pleasing. A simple example is hand animating a bouncing ball. The ball is not fully spherical in all frames.
these paused moments, with the weird faces while moving, are actually things that are normal in the 12 principles of animation. it sounds weird, but they have to do that so the animation flows a lot better. try making it without the ''weird faces'' the whole animation will be totally different ;)
Them: "PausedcDisnney Moments That Went over Everyone's Head" Me: I'm pretty sure your the only one who purposely pause weird moments in good movies and post it to make media soooo
You forgot one thing. In the frozen movie when most of the town was invited to Elsa's outh taking ceremony. In that moment when Anna was coming out of the castle and people were going in we could clearly see Rupanzel going in the castle..
Me seeing the title:Oh really Me watching it:Lady stop badmouthing it And even if it was bad, Disney didn't think any one in their right mind would pause it at random moments
karen golar I did. I’ve seen these before on a website, paused, and it was completely normal. Plus some of these were just charachters that were moving, and it just looked weird.
When you were talking about Maui from Moana I know that part where he turns into like a the Rudolph I mean no no no not the Rudolph the deer the reindeer from Disney I mean from Frozen I saw that before besides it's an Easter egg not mistake ok
I don’t understand the lefty nose one 4:50 I think you guys are just dirty minded, and Disney had no idea someone would think it looked inappropriate. It’s just a smear frame
You know...im an animator my self and Ursula Aladdin Gaston and basicly all on this list are called "animation smears" animation smears are just something to help thigs snap into place like if a character needs to get to a place really fast then you use an animation smear
WHO EVEN HAS TIME TO PAUSE A PRECIOUS MOVIE UNLESS YOU NEED TO GO TO THE TOILET OR WHATEVER????!?!?!?!? Also, the animators made it look like that because they needed to, to actually make the action they are trying to create. One more thing, IT'S A CARTOON!
