Did it really hurt Punk that much? He was still the top guy along with Cena after that and won the championship 2 months later and had a very memorable and lengthy reign.

It actually did hurt Punk. The summer of Punk was the best thing going then. That loss to Triple H (and the MITB cash-in at SummerSlam 2011) ruined everything. Yeah he had a lengthy title reign, but he just wasn't interesting as he was before those losses. This is one of the reasons why Punk left and why WWE is in such a bad state their in. Because they don't know how book their big stars (Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Sasha Banks, etc. etc). Yeah, I know about Roman Reigns. Roman is doing quite well. You know why? Because they allowing Roman to have creative control, unlike the ones mentioned above

Jericho is amazing that’s why but CM Punk winning is fine. What’s not fine is people complaining about this match not getting enough attention. It’s Wrestlemania. You’re supposed to have multiple main event level matches and this Mania 28 did. That’s what made it so amazing.

No one in history of wrestling has put over someone more than Undertaker put over Brock lesnar .he never ever beat him clean and gave him the most important prize in wrestling (the streak) Also Undertaker should have buried that midcarder punk over and over again as h needed to be the champion before royal rumble for the legendary Ut hbk feud 😂

Just to add my two cents, It wasn't Taker's choice for Brock to beak the streak. It was Vince's.

Pretty sure Brock beat Taker clean in their first hiac.

@@prj7894 Their all time series of matches is Undertaker 5 wins to Brock Lesnar 4 wins. Taker pinned him clean twice (one being a handicap match with Big Show as Brock's partner) He also tapped Brock with the Hell's Gate in 2015. Brock pinned Taker clean 3 times, the other win being No Mercy 2003 where Brock needed interference by 3 wrestlers,Vince and a bike chain to beat him. The so called streak matters to Taker and his fans, no one else , most of those matches were squashes of talent near the end of their careers or wrestlers on a lower level than Taker. Undertaker is a special attraction talent like Andre The Giant was which is a main reason he never got a long championship reign. He's a McMahon family stooge and his opponents rarely gained anything from beating him because shenanigans and interference were usually involved. When HULK HOGAN is more generous to new talent it says something. Dislike Brock all you want but he holds more records as a main event draw than Taker.
