Thanks Daryl. I am your fan now. I am Jay from Australia and am working in a company who does white label for big Marketing agencies in USA and Australia. I got 2 requests. I am just wondering about adding keywords to title of the product. I am doing it but struggle with it. Can you give some examples. Other part I need bit more explanation is with dupe products. Rest of the strategies are already part of the our work flow. Again thanks for wonderful content. Keep up the good work.
Depends on the situation. If it fits in to an existing as group in my structure I will add it as Exact. If it does not, then I create an ad group for it and add it as Phrase. This is in keeping with “the seed mining method” so check out my 2024 video on that topic if you want to understand the thinking behind that structure.
Thank you sm!! Question though, for these top performing Pmax keywords, would I add them in my Exact or Broad Search campaigns? I have 2 search camps, exact and broad. I see you have said to create an ad group and put them as phrase match, but not really sure which search to put them in.
I would add them in according to the structure you have. Meaning: for me I have a structure of having the seed keyword as phrase, and all long tail versions of that seed as exact. So in my structure, when adding a KW from Pmax I would see first if I think this keyword is a seed or a long tail. Then add it in the correct match type, according to my structure, for that type of keyword. So yeah judge each keyword and then add it in whichever match type makes sense for that keyword, given whatever structure you have in place.
Do you have a tip for consolidating accounts? like customizers. Or do you still try to match the ad groups with the keyword and the ad (so have more ad groups). thanks! very helpful video :)
So what I do is have the seed keyword in phrase and then all long tails of that see added as exact into the same ad group. Done automatically, I have a script for that. So ad groups are structured around the seed keywords only, which I find strikes a good balance between being consolidate for the algo to work well, whilst providing enough granularity for relevant ad copy. Check out my latest video on "the seed mining method" for more details on this strategy plus a free copy of my script.
@@DarylManderbigflare and do you use Customizers with a google sheet so that Google can pull the info out of that. Because often you have different products with the same USP and benefit and the same target group. So its just another keyword. And with customizers Google can pull data out of sheet.
