I had to laugh when you warned that there was nudity in the Black Lily Tarot, because there is loads in the Gentle Tarot and you seem not to have even noticed it 😄 As for my soul decks, I'm still exploring my collection, since until a few years ago I only had a couple of decks. Tarot of the Cat People would probably have to be the spirit of my soul, as it was my first RWS deck and has a firm place in my heart even though I don't read with it very often. The Wildwood Tarot is both my spiritual deck and student deck, as it's so rooted in English folklore and there's a lot to learn since, like Thoth, it's very different from RWS. The Dreaming Way is my inner child deck, as it's quirky and fun and reminds me of classic storybook illustrations, and my shadow self is probably going to be the Blood Moon, though I need to work with it first to be sure!

Oh haha that's soo funny. I wonder what that says about me that I didn't think to comment on that in the Gentle Tarot. I think it's because that one's feels more natural and the Black Lily is a bit more confronting with it's nudity. 🙂 I've been working with the Wildwood this year too, really enjoy it. Hi Dawn, I'd just like to take this opportunity to formally express my apprecation of you, as you've offered me quite eye-opening experinece and enlightment about life in general. You are the one who has taught me that we don't need to stick to only one deck, just like we don't need to hold tightly onto only one self-image\self-identity, confining ourselves. It's okey to be attracted by different and multiple decks at the same time, just like it's okey to accept that we have many different parts within ourselves (what an abundance!). Another great lesson I've learned from you is that it's only natural that we all grow and change from time to time. So it's ok that we change our minds and preferences regarding decks, or anything else in our lives. Long-term commitment still holds as great virtue, but as human beings we are more than that. That's why we need Temperance to balance out the different needs and desires within us, instead of upholding only one single value and denying all the others. Thank you so much for the inspiring sharing of your practcie!

I love the Lioness Oracle Tarot. It is so incredibly right on and deep for me. I pull from it almost everyday and I love her oracle as well. Love the Black Lily as well. Can be so raw and I am really looking forward to using the Intuitive Night Goddess was surprised how taken I was with it.

I've tried to do this a couple times, it's the 'pieces' part that trips me up. I know Tyldwick would be one, Thoth and DD Mermaid would be in there...I feel like Tarot of the Crone, and Marsella Robledo...Way of the Panda...and Jonasa Jaus and maybe Tarot of the Abyss, Anna K, and the Urban Tarot. And now I feel like I removed my clothing in public. So weird. Can I suggest you go to North West Tarot Symposium as a presenter? You could do a Boho Mod workshop...you could do a Tarot Journal thing...or you could just go. I'd love to see you there!

I might go this year. I attended apart of the one right before the pandemic hit, it was so much fun. This year though it's on my 25th wedding anniversary so I'm not sure what the plan is yet. I do think they have a ton of presenters, not sure they would need me. ☺️ Thank you for watching. ❤️

Such a wonderful and insightful exploration of all the decks that represent all the many facets of your being! I really love the idea of splitting decks up in this way, it makes so much more sense and speaks so well to us as multidimensional ad multi faceted beings! Absolute adore some of your picks, i can definitely relate as we share a few decks. Loved hearing about your poetry project as a way to bond with a deck, I’m actually undertaking that with the Poesis Oracle too currently and its such a beautiful exercise from a fellow writer! The elemental/astrological deck is something I've struggled with. I want a deck that fits that description for me, but I can't seem to find a tarot deck that gives me that firery Sagittarius vibe. I've been searching for one though. 😆

I notice that you do leave some of the white borders on. It's looks good. Do you think you will leave them on? I'm wondering cause it looks ok but I see you like to mod yours, as do I. They are all so wonderful. And I love your Llewellyn deck. Would love to find one. It's so beautiful. My favorite of yours too.

On some decks I like the white borders (or I feel the art needs the borders to contain it) so I'll probably leave them in that case. The Mermaid Tarot will always be i my top 3. Reminds me of growing up sitting on tailgates with my grandparents & taking the best naps ever! Also had my favorite court cards…u are right about it being more positive.

I’ve really been thinking about the Lioness Oracle Tarot for a while & Black Lily. I just don’t know which I would use more or if it’s more which I see using less for just like maybe shadowy & more like just deep shit that I need to connect with & try to understand & incorporate more now that I’m becoming like less needed as a Mom for the first time in 23 years…I feel worried about a whole different depression I’ve never felt creeping in. I don’t know how to explain it or if it’s worry that I’ve let myself go to put myself in the mom/wife role so much I don’t know any other way to even think! Hard to explain considering my youngest is only 9 & I then my 17 year old. Actually started when my daughter moved out. Ugh…I also want a cat.😒

It has this beautiful darkness that I am all about and always want more of...but I have a Jonasa Jaus, and I'm really not sure if I'd pull Black Lily instead. I should just get over it. But there it is. What is it about Lioness that attracts you? I see it around but, I like other collage decks much more...the roses are so pretty tho.

@@tamipie Honestly with the Lioness Oracle I feel like it has more of what I was hoping for with the Moonchild Tarot…Also I have a thing w/ old pics of people in decks…ever since the Antiquarian Tarot & The Stretch Tarot. So now saying that…I’m in love with The Black Lily because I have looked at it so much already! I always think about it & I don’t know why I don’t pull the trigger on it. Maybe I’m not ready for what I know it’s gonna say!

Oh & The Jonasa Jaus Tarot is on my radar too! But I’m bummed there’s no more of some color like violet…I’m an Aries & I hear the Stunning Tarot is a fiery deck. I almost like it more. I wonder if Black Lily has too much going on in comparison…like I’d use one of the other 2 or Lioness more. I just need something that isn’t too like fairy tail or like the same kinda RWS style…

Im curious how do you keep your cards/decks in such good conditions? I bought my first deck 6 months ago and the edges are already worn; I know the type of paper stock has to do with that. I want to start treating my decks better, so they look nice and last longer , Any tips?

Hmm I'm not sure because I do riffle shuffle which tends to be pretty hard on edges. The only thing I can think of is that I always keep them in a box or bag and don't leave them setting out "naked" lol. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I do occasionally give them a little refresh, where I re-sort them and sometimes wipe them off with a cloth (especially for glossy cards) as part of a cleansing and cleaning process. Maybe that helps? 🙂
