I love how you analize videos. While not 100% agree with your statements, the sole existence of teachers who really WATCH from others to learn, and don't just repeat what learned from others before even confirming. There is always something to learn. I'd tell ya to watch Andre Eglevsky, one awesome ballet dancer from around 1930 who was able to do more than 8 pirouettes with a body technique much MUCH different than anything recorded. My final considerations are just a matter of balance training, body position or adjustment is slightly important considering the evidence.

I don't really understand why the uneven shoulder is helpful. I would think that would cause a "tipping" reaction like a top falling off balance. Can someone explain that more?

+thebarefootdancer What I can see is that , even if she's shortening her left side of the back and lengthening her right side of the back and little bit (you can see it in 3:02), she manages to keep her whole upper spine straight and in complete balance, and uses her back and front muscles perfectly well. Her right shoulder lifts towards the right side and upwards at the same time, in order to get the best advantage of the movement she's performing (turning on her axis), which leads her to do 10 pirouettes. Not easy to have that control altogether!!!!

There is everything in NYC schools (Ballet Tech, Latin School, etc) but no school for African Drumming/dance, Taino School, or Zulu School. There is a lot of white supremacy occurring, and children who love white culture get options; those who love their original black (or Native American) culture get ignored.

Please don't use this analysis as a good example of pirouettes. Balance and alignment are two very different things. This lady has great balance but very poor alignment and all sorts of other bad habits. Even the leaning tower of Pisa manages to stay upright! If you want to see it done properly - see Baryshnikov's 11 pirouettes in the film "White Knights"

She doesn't have bad alignment she just has a placement that many ballerinas use for multiple pirouettes. If you slow down a video of any dancer turning you will find "bad habits" especially if they are doing many pirouettes. Lastly, you can't compare barishnikov to her because he is not only on flat but in street shoes! He is also amazing but by your logic you would argue that he has a low, over crossed passe.

this makes zero sense, her so called "pirouettes" at the beginning are not pirouettes, as pointed out by yourself not to mention she's doing loose uneven technically incorrect turns the whole time. why not just do 2-4 with proper ballet skills???? gross.
