Sirmione is old, historical small city, with a lot of charm. In the heart of Lago, so you can go on every side of the lake in the easiest way. Olso, nice hotels, tavernas, terme with a lovely swimming pool. And vila of Maria Callas. Also, starting point of Mille millia, old-timer meating.
I live here, near Salò. In my opinion the video is confusing because it doesn't follow a north-south path skipping several interesting stages. Starting from the north, Riva del Garda to descend on the west coast of the lake. Stop in Limone del Garda and then descending there is Tremosine with its "strada della Forra", one of the most beautiful roads in the world set in the rock. We then continue towards Toscolano-Maderno and its history of paper. Visit to historic paper mills in the valley. Then there is Gardone Riviera with its natural park and D'Annunzio's Vittoriale degli Italiani. Then it goes down to Salò with its history of the Second World War and the former Republic of Salò. Finally we move towards the south of the lake with Desenzano, Srimione and Bardolino. Going up from the opposite side of the lake we find Torri del Benaco, then Malcesine from where you can go up to Monte Baldo with a panoramic cable car with cabins that rotate 360° to give you breathtaking views. I'll stop here but the tour would be very long. Contact me if you need advice!
Hi there. Where would you suggest staying when visiting the area? Is there somewhere that would allow us to easily access most of these beautiful spots?
Hi Andries. One big thing to consider is... do you have a car or want rent a car? This info could change a lot the location... PS: in the coming months we are planning to create a video about the best hotel, b&b, houses etc to stay near lake Garda (not sure exactly when, but in spring time)
@@TravelCorner360 Thanks for the reply. We are still deciding, but at the moment we were thinking of not renting a car and renting some e-bikes. Will this be limiting? Is public transport a good option to get around?
@@andriesjansevanvuuren9752 You're welcome. E-bikes is a good option. Just to consider: Lake Garda is big, so if you want to visit ALL probably you need days and time. A car is better for flexibility and freedom to go everywhere. E-bikes to enjoy the bike paths, bus to move and cheap, but you have to adapt because you can't go everywhere. In my opinion, just choose a place that you like a lot and look the options that you have starting from that. In some months we are planning to do a video about these kind of info :) PS: did you see the last survey in the community tab? If you have time, and answer would be really appreciate :)
@@TravelCorner360 I love exploring the different towns, riding my bike along the many trails and bike paths and just sitting and admiring the amazing views. I moved by Lake Garda in 2019 and I don’t regret it at all.
Nice video. We are planning to visit lake garda. But we don’t have car, is there buses to go in the place that you mentioned? I am looking forward for your reply as I am traveling with my kids
Hello, you can find more information about the bus services in this page: lakegardatravel.net/bus-service-lake-garda/#:~:text=First%20you%20have%20to%20reach,Riva%20and%20continues%20towards%20Arco
Everyone has NOT to sound like a native english speaker. Moreover english natives cannot even talk another language that is not english, how do you even attack other people that try to speak a 2 or 3 language? Thats beyond me.
Now there is the craze of making videos with drones, but believe me if I tell you that the beauty of these places is best captured with a small hand-held camera on foot or by bicycle among the beautiful streets of many countries. Ciao
I agree with you in part, but I think that also videos with drones have their own charm, the right mix... Anyway thank you for shared your opinion, I appreciated
What about Villa Cavazza-Borghese on Isola del Garda? I was only able to see it from the water, but I said it was the most beautiful man made thing I had ever seen. I plan to return and go ashore next time!
Have been to several places on lake Garda on holiday, my favourite so far is riva especially if you like a market as well. My next trip there will be to limone I think. On trips out and about I have visited many of the towns but I think my next trip to fulfill is there. My late husband and I loved it here.❤
I come from there, I love how the lady in the video really put an effort to pronunciate the names of the villages correctly! Brava! ❤ Great job locations wise
I have been to lake Garda, but i only saw two places mentioned in this video. I saw Sermione and Bardolino. They did not mention a town i went to called Torre De Benaco which had a beautiful little harbor.
Hi Bright! We don't have anything like that at this moment but we take note about your suggestion for a future video in spring/summer time. Can you explain a little bit more about what kind of video would you like to see? Thanks so much :)
I can't believe you forgot Arco, the best place in Italy for climbing, and Campione the best place on Benaco for kitesurf, and Salò, Maderno, Toscolano, Lazise, and GARDA of course (the second name of the lake comes from it).
@@TravelCorner360 Did you know that the cable car from Malcesine allows paragliders to enjoy a 2000 m flight over the lake? Tandem flights are availables for tourists too. There are so many outdoor sports you can practice here, they can't fit in just one video!
@@kamperpasja9126 Yes, Lake Garda has a lot of great activities to do and, the view is amazing :) Ps: we are working with new videos about other great lakes in Italy, stay tuned to see and give us a feedback to improve the quality of work, thanks :)
you can find some information about it here: www.outdooractive.com/it/list/bike-stop-garda-trentino/173305802 (in italian language) maybe you can also call to have some more exacte information
Entered Italy from ST. Moritz ; had lunch at one of the small towns on its shoreline ( S.W. area ? ) in July 1985 A.d. on a 18 day TWA tour. Very impressive then; hopefully hasn't changed since.
Other beautiful places in my opinion are Salo, a historic city with a long fantastic lake and Gardone Riviera with the Museum of the Vittoriale, residence of Gabriele d'Annuzio, great Italian poet and hero where you can admire a real ship of the First World War encased in the park ...

We’ve been visiting Lake Garda all our adult lives. You certainly don’t need to take a car with you! There’s plenty of public boat, train and bus services all over. I thoroughly recommend this area. (Also now there’s plenty of scooter hires if you like those!)😎
Great video and one of my favourite places to stay. i did stay by the lake in a really good hostel named the Ostello Meet Hostel, and I did a review of the hostel and my time there.
consider that in October in Bardolino there is the grape festival apart from this year which has been postponed to 2022. There are fewer ferry rides during the winter. Anyway the light on the lake is very suggestive in the winter period, so depends what do you want to do...
@@TravelCorner360 I am coming there for an event, for 12 days. want to explore near by places whenever I will get free time. so in winter very less visitors I believe so that would be very nice for me !! Definatly I will clicks some good picks at lake with night light as you mentioned. hope for snowfalls !! Thank you !!
Yes this video is about some bigger cities around the lake, I know there are a lot of more places around the lake garda. Anyway we are working on new video about this lake...
Another option, if you come with the train, is arrive to Peschiera del Garda and rent a electric bike and use it to move around. Maybe is not a great option for someone but... you can just consider it to avoid parking problems in the summer :)
