I've never played it myself, but if I recall the main problems people at the time had with The Order:1886 were the price compared to the length, and the idea of it being a bit style over substance. I remember people talking about being frustrated by the lack of variety in enemy types. The one thing that did get pretty much universal praise was the visuals.
I've played it before. I did the platinum in one afternoon while I was sick. It's very short. But I actually did like the story, it even ended on a cliffhanger implying a sequel. But it should've never been full priced
It's good, but it's short, the story itself happens to quickly because of that. And they pushed thes "science weapons" that you don't get to use very often. It's usually just a rifle or revolver. A real missed opportunity, and I doubt we ever get a sequal.
Such a fun challenge! Really good choice of games too, there’s a few of them I have on my list that I think I need to bump up a little after hearing your thoughts 👀 also Jak & Daxter is always a good time! 🙌🏻
Thank you for checking out the video! Jak and Daxter was definitely one of my favourites from this challenge, I can't wait to play the other ones when I've got some time 😁
You got a good RU-vid recipe here, I really enjoyed the pacing and the narrative of this video. I am looking forward for more Plat videos because I really like your style. I came to this vid after watching your Jak Trilogy Plat video and not going to lie, I'm waiting for the newest upload to drop! Thank you for making these videos of my favourite childhood games
@@hundkebab2433 I feel you on that, and I wouldn’t say it’s as basic but you have to think it’s a 2015 game not a lot of shooters was out but bo3, you bought the game for the story and it was a very good story although short still good. I didn’t mind the 60 at the time seeing there would be a sequel now shame it didn’t come out now I do regret paying 60 for the length but the experience is unforgettable
@@malcolmmccants863 dunno buddy, 60 dollaridoos for 4hrs of recycled gameplay and a semi interesting story with tons of plot holes ain't rly it for me chief
Amazing video! Deliver Us The Moon looks so cool... Do use a capture card for your footage or do you use the WEBM and convert later? Looks great, cant imagine how long the render took
On the PS5 there's a built in recording feature and you can also choose to opt in for trophies to be recorded as well. It's not crazy quality but until I get a capture card, it does the job 😁
Appreciate it man! It's definitely cool to see the variety of youtubers earning platinums now, it's become it's own little genre! Looking forward to your next video!
@@Satiire honestly its the best community! I watch so many platinum videos that it just felt natural to make these! I just dropped one yesterday but i switched editing software so its not my best to be honest haha! But learning new bits as we go makes it so fun haha! Ive got your notification bell switched on so always keeping my eye out for your next one !!
@@GaspardTheGrey Appreciate you man! I'll check out your newest video now! It's always good to try new things when it comes to improving content, I only just added the platinum tracker to my Gollum video which is something new for me 🤣
You mentioned "enjoyable trophies", there's a couple that I found surprisingly enjoyable. I picked up Death Stranding in a PSN sale, thinking I wouldn't like it as I'm not a Kojima fan. I played through the story (on PS4) which went from utterly confusing, to absolutely epic. Then returned to it recently (on PS5) purely out of boredom. The first area is kinda bland (like a training zone) but it really opens up after that, with lots of interesting equipment becoming available. It might seem like a dumb concept but it's actually well written and has really addictive gameplay as it progresses. I honestly think everyone should play Disco Elysium at some point, even if they're not interested in trophies. I'm not sure if there's another example of writers and artists deciding to start a games studio but there should be. Every character you meet is incredibly interesting/unique and the overall plot was much deeper than I expected. Very few video games have ever made me laugh consistently over the last 4 decades, this one had me in tears multiple times. I usually steer clear of PC style titles because they bore me but I highly recommend picking this game up. Neither of these were fast platinums but both were really memorable, landmark experiences possibly in gaming history.
Death stranding is one I will 100% be going back too, just before DS2 I think. It is one of the best games OAT imo! Truly a masterpiece and people are so quick to all it a walking sim without giving it a try :( I haven't checked out disco elysium but that has intrigued me and I might see what it's like in my free time 👀
@@Satiire I tried to think back to what made Death Stranding so difficult to get in to. I'm pretty sure it was the amount of weird going on and how often new weird was added. Just go along with it and slowly it starts to make enough sense. Yeah, Disco Elysium should be played by every gamer before they die, it's unmissable.
"the game glitched on me and the bullies became invincible"...that made me think of a silly old game i have called "Darkened Skye". there's a glitch that sometimes makes certain enemies invincible when they are supposed to die. fortunately, i figured out a loophole: that ONLY happens when their health drops to zero from Poison damage, so by simply using Ice spells instead, i was able to avoid that glitch.
The Medium is glitchy. The "go through a mirror" and "collect all echoes" trophies didn't pop for me. It's impossible to miss the mirror trophy because it's an integral part of the game and I followed a guide for all collectibles and got ALL of them but the echoes for some reason. Unfortunately I feel I have to replay the whole game to get the echoes trophy. Ugh....
@@masonmiller8743 I'm pretty sure I own that one so I might have to give it a go at some point. I've got a few games lined up so I'll make sure I add it to the list 🙃
how do you know exactly what to do for each chapter to take the trophy? do you do several runs, or do you literally look at a guide to acquire these trophies? congrats on the trophies
On a usual video, I'll play the game first and then comb through on a NG+ for the platinum However, I had limited time per platinum on this challenge so a guide was pretty necessary for most games👍
If your ever looking for fun and kind of challenging plat I would really recommend fallout 4 and I 100 percented it recently and it was one of the best open world games I ever played
Yeah that was my bad for not explaining it properly 😅 I meant easy games as in shovelware like my name is mayo etc, I would class TWD as a real game and a great one too :)
I did ten platinum trophies in 5 days 1. I am mayo 2. I am mayo 2 3. The pig D 4. The jumping pasta 5. The jumping taco 6. The jumping burger 7. Jack and Jill dx 8. The jumping fries 9. Foxyland 10. Foxyland 2
I kinda wish you hadn't thrown in random spoilers for other games (like spoiling Season 4 of The Walking Dead) but pretty cool video. Love a good trophy challenge.
But he says he’s going to play the series at the start so a “spoiler” was going to happen anyway because he was going to play episode 4? If you’re going to want to play a game and find out what happens on your own then don’t watch a completionist video on that game series? 😟
Cool video but i think i am gonna have to call a lil bit of bullcrap here. 1st of all, you cannot deny that the walking dead is one of the easiest trophies on ps (same with any telltale game). It is impossible to miss any trophy if you just play through the game and quite frankly you could easily play another game whilst going through TWD. Another thing, rift apart i feel just borders on the line of easy trophies, It still counts but the game was a glorified tech demo and definitely the easiest and shortest of the ratchet and clank games. Good vid though and you should defo do more
He did not start at 00:00, he started at 10:48 AM, that means he had until 10:48 of what you consider to be the 11th day to complete the challenge. So no, he did in fact complete this in 10 days
@@sharpc-tudent The title says 10 days not 240 hrs, he started on Friday 13th (the 1st day) and therefore would have to finish sometime before midnight on Sunday 22nd (the 10th day) to finish "in 10 days". Besides, he made the dumb decision to include a game he had earned 2 trophies from back in November 2021 which obviously invalidates the challenge.
I was also obsessed with earning platinum trophies, but then I realized that I was ruining all the games for myself. To reach the goal you are forced to follow guides, no one really is able to platinum a game without following a guide.
