Literally nothing justifies buying the console it's a waste buy an Xbox it's cheaper, I made the mistake 2 years ago. My controller broke after 3 months my second one broke after 6 months, I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER WIRELESS MOUSE AND KEYBOARD because mine didn't work on it! My LG C2 only utilizes a fraction of its power on the only 10 games that can operate at 120 frames per second! You aren't even allowed to use the browser😮 to Google something it has the same 16 apps since launch.. except discord which you have to use you're phone for ..... you must pay a subscription fee every month to play games online.... their exclusives are either graphics updates of ancient games like games we played in the 2000's or they have become yearly DLC's disguised as new games and that's literally all they care about that's why the consoles functionality has been neglected like is this the future or the past ? I want to be able to type a message with my wireless keyboard from the comfort of my couch, I want to be able to God forbid play music from RU-vid while I game yes you can't even minimize a damn app ! I want to Google how to cook an egg should I feel the need! And I want much much more then that I want to play league of legends when I feel the need! I want to have the ability to download mods! I want to use my hardware however I feel like! I'm telling you guys if you don't have enough money for a PC buy an Xbox save some cash initially on the console itself, save more on not having to buy new controllers every year but ultimately buy a PC and have the freedom to do what you like when you like with hardware that is yours! If you want naughty mods download them if you want to spoof you're location use a VPN if you want to play with a damn arcade style knob download a port and do it if you want to play ps5 exclusives rip them straight of the internet and play them with a controller and all this without being charged a monthly fee to play games online. Don't make my mistake and trust the brand and pay more for it without actually investigating the pros and cons because before you know it you'll be stuck replacing controllers paying monthly subscription fees buying expensive TVs that only can be used to it's capability on 10 games you don't even like! All to see a whole announcement about how they going to give a graphics update to a game you clocked when you were 9 ....... and a new Spiderman when you couldn't even finish Miles because you were bored from Spiderman ps4 mechanics
Ghostwire Tokyo pretty nice so far gives me Dr strange vibes,I’m disappointed with suicide squad online only and gameplay 😢outcome and the Robocop delayed from June to Fall release.
Btw Callisto protocol combat was satisfactory the environment as you go deeper in was addictive every safe point I craved to return to see if I had what it took to end it I succeeded currently on my first game plus Dead space is cool to revisit but I definitely needed the new adventure in Callisto
I've been researching linear, limited-no exploration and great combat games for weeks now since I got the PS5 and this video gave me atleast 4-5 titles that I haven't heard of anywhere else...great job! And thanks! Subscribed!
This comment made my day! I guess all those hours slaving over and editing this video was actually worth it. If it can help someone out there then I think I've done my job👍btw, my one friend is exactly the same way. He's not really for exploration either haha. Or at least very limited.
@@SuperJumpReviews absolutely brother! I'm sure this video helped many others 😌.. and ya there's a place for exploration heavy ganes and then there's tired weekday nights where you just want to smash some enemies and enjoy 😁
I agree with you about Horizon. It's a complicated game but once you get the feel for it and start understanding what works with what it's a ton of fun. It's also gorgeous - seriously the clips on youtube don't convey how outrageously good it looks.
Horizon forbidden west is a really good game..could've won more awards if a certain god of war and elden ring weren't released in the same year ..poor thing didn't stand a chance ...but we'll get a new horizon dlc, seems about the right time to start playing it again
Got mine yesterday finally ❤️ Target had em $499 freaking awesome, set up kinda sucks, voice alert had to go first. It's amazing. Controller is the best one yet, graphics are GREAT, think it was $530-$540 all together. Oh yeah so worth it, now if my son would let me play this damn thing 🤣🤣🤣❤️
I bet you when you saw them at target it felt like catching a rare wild Pokémon out in the wild🤣anyway congrats on the new ps5! Good times are heading your way👍
No demon souls ? That game plays amazing . Looks absolutely beautiful. The haptics add so much punch to your weapons and magic . Definitely a must have .
My first games I tried on ps5 were Uncharted 4, Horizon forbidden west and ghost of Tsushima and I was blown away. I beat all three on ps4 and it’s literally night and day from ps4 to ps5.
I bought my ps5 6 months after the last game I played on my ps4. Due to the time gap I hadn't realised how big is the difference and man I played a bit of ps4 just to see and I was like "how was I playing this" hahahaha
@@markogornati I tried switching the frame rate to 30fps just to see if I could tell a difference at the time and oh boy. It felt like I was moving under water with how slow and laggy it felt. You start to think back and ask yourself how in the world did I ever manage to play like this and not notice it?
I agree about cut scenes. I’m a full time employee with a part time business… I literally have no time for cut scenes. Like when I log on, I only have 1 hour to play a day… unless it’s my 1 day off a week. I literally have no time to play FF7 or games with a waste a time objective, running around to talk to people, or cutscenes. I wish they allow you to turn off stuff like that or make them optional task.
Games 8 - 10 hour are perfect for me. Unfortunately every one nowadays want games that are 200+ hours🤦🏻♂Anything less and they complain they didn't get their monies worth.
@@SuperJumpReviews absolutely! Like I realize there’s people that do have the time and want that rich immersion-which is ok. But a lot of just want quick arcade action. It always leads me back to Diablo. Btw, amazing review: very concise with excellent flow! Watched a few of your videos! Sub’d & like’d!
Great, GREAT video, kind of bummed that you didn't get Returnal in there. It's actually my favorite game on the system. I'd maybe have left off No Heroes III to fit Returnal, but it's all good. Love your sentiments overall!
Thanks so much Pete! Appreciate the support🙏And yes I have played returnal and it is awesome. I did include it on one of my other videos though😊Just not this one hehe.
I just bought a ps5 after years of only playing Xbox. My last PlayStation was the first bully ps3 so this list is helping me find new games to play. Thanks man!
I'm actually playing games in 4K 60 fps AND 120 fps on my PS5. CAN'T DO THIS ON MY $2,000 Gaming rig with a RTX 3080! 😮 It's worth the 💰 I'm a PC gamer, now I'm both 😁👍 GREAT COMMENTARY!
@@Kingeptacon God of War Ragnorak, Spiderman, Gears of War 5, etc. All look gorgeous on the 70" 4K 120hz TV. I'm a PC gamer by nature, but the consoles have overtaken PC's
Haha someone else just left me a comment about how disappointed they were with ghost of Tsushima a few days ago. I loved the game though. One of my top 10 games ever👍
Evil West is so close to being really good but it falls short. If they fixed up the combat and had a looser shooting style (the wait for the weak spot lock-on is too shooter gallery) it would be really cool. Also, melee weapons that aren’t only fists made of electric.
I have preferred playing on PC most of my life, only because I valued higher framerate over better looking games. However, I have always eventually found myself going to consoles just to play the exclusives. I bought an original fat PS3 for about $100 just so I could play MSG4. I then fixed up the HDMI circuit on a PS4 I got for free, and I got to play all sorts of games I never could have played on PC. Bloodborne, Detroit Become Human, The Last of Us Remastered, etc. I got a PS5 a couple of years ago. The only reason I decided to get one is because my friend was making many reservations to get in a virtual line and receive one. She had no interest in having one herself, she would just let her friends know if one was available. I decided to bite the bullet and take an offer for one. I still did not find myself playing it all that much. I played a handful of exclusive titles, such as Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us Part 2, but for the most part I really did not play it all that often. It wasn't until very recently that I started playing more games on my PS5 than my PC. A huge issue I've noticed as of late is many PC ports are now terribly optimized. It started with Callisto Protocol, and Dead Space was also not a particularly great optimized experience on PC. While it ran way better than Callisto, it was still clearly severely unoptimized, and I'd experience intense frame drops for minutes at a time. When Resident Evil 4 Remake came out, I had a choice to make. Buy it on PC, and potentially risk having what could be an unplayable mess, or just buy it on PS5, where it is more-or-less guaranteed to run consistently, and also look good. I decided to get it for PS5. I am now at a point where I'd rather buy a game on the PS5, get to play it in 4k and have 60fps, and play a game that is pretty much guaranteed to have a consistent framerate, than risk buying a potentially non-working game for my PC. I'll give Sony credit, the PS5 is really a nice console and I'm genuinely surprised at how far the technology has come. The fact that I can go from a cold boot to in the middle of a game in less than 20 seconds is quite impressive. Even my own computer, which at this point has around $3k invested into it, can't do that. It's also quite nice being able to take my PS5 to my friends house if they want to watch me play a game, rather than having to stream it like I would a PC game from home.
Man😞the creator is WRONG for ignoring your comment like that.. He responded and liked everyone's comment but yours.. he doesn't appreciate the TIME and EFFORT you invested in interacting with him😒.. he's busy replying with paragraphs and emojis to 5-worded comments.. I'm sorry bro..i see u
They sure made a mess od Elden Ring and The Last Of Us remake for the PC version. I just like knowing whatever game you play on a PS5 its guaranteed to play and look great. Plus I like playing while laying down on a couch not sitting in a chair.
gotta say, i'm pretty fucking tired of all you reviewers presenting cross-gen games as "reasons to buy a PS5". my dude, games available on PS4 or Switch are the exact opposite of that, they're a reason to stay on PS4 or Switch. how is that not obvious?
Btw, I was watching this while getting my workout in... Your pacing is great, you sound extremely comfortable with your content. Great vid, and you got me excited about playing the games. keep up the good work... You have a new subscriber...
Don't forget PS4 games that are also worth playing, Bloodbourne, being one I'm going through now & run at 60 fps, then you have Demon Souls, Elden Ring, Resident Evil, Gran Turismo, OddWorld, the list goes on & on, got mine for Christmas & loving it
@@SuperJumpReviews having been a gamer/Collector for the past 30+yrs i only cherry pick the best now as i bought everything previously as my loft can testify 😉
Evil west has some of the most original monsters and the most disgusting levels. It is just a fun game. Doesn't take itself too serious, its just a good time. The combat gets pretty addictive.
I’ve played pc for years, rtx 3080. I decided to finally get a ps5 because sm2 and i heard a lot about the haptic feedback. Ever since i bought it, I’ve hardly touched my pc. So worth it and the performance is truly incredible for the price
I cannot wait for a forbidden West PC port is going to be amazing running full quality at60fps vs the 30 on PS5 I run perf on PS5 but good does it look good in quality setting
The PS5 is severely lacking in descent original games, evident by the flood of remakes. Most of the games are basically just tech demos with gameplay and story added as an after thought.
Having to always be online for a single player game because of some bs reason is just a way for them to have control over you after you've already paid for the product. Now you're forever at the mercy of their servers, and when they choose to stop supporting it, say bye bye to your game. Or, if they release a patch that causes problems? Too bad. Install the patch or you can't play at all.
I think if the game was more centered around a single player campaign then I’d have a bigger problem with always being online but since online is such an integral part of the game I don’t really mind it that much. But yeah I know what you mean. Once the servers go then you’re pretty much shit out of luck.
Ragnarok was the first PS5 exclusive that I played and it blew me away. It blew GOW ‘18 out of the water. I wish people gave Callisto Protocol more love because it’s an absolutely solid sci fi horror game…..more interesting than Dead space for me and I love Dead space.
I'll definitely pick up Callisto Protocol soon. Some of the early reviews scared me off and I didn't want to take a chance on a $70 game I wasn't going to like.
@@SuperJumpReviews The game has been patched and I haven’t experienced any technical or graphical issues after about 5-6 hours of gameplay. The melee combat and dodging mechanics will make or break the experience for you, but it plays smooth as hell.
I didn’t play the original version, so the remake has been an amazing experience, the most fun I’ve had with a single player story driven game in a long time.
Just about all these games are also available on other systems. You don't need a PS 5 to play them. Even most of the Playstation exclusive games are also available on PS 4.
@@SuperJumpReviews yes but also alot of these games also are available on other systems. The only 3 games I can think of off the top of my head that's only available on PS 5 are Returnal, Ratchet and Clank a rift apart, and The Demon Souls remake. But your video is misleading. You pretend like you can only enjoy these games on PS 5.
"cross between devil may cry and god of war, an unlikely pairing" Ik its not really the case anymore but God of War was literally inspired by dmc and was basically the westerns DmC.
Here's the thing with Souls games, they don't give you a difficulty option. There is no easy mode. NGL, if I play a game with a difficulty option, I go as easy as I can. I play for fun, not to get beat by the game. Souls games are the antithesis of that. The tutorial boss is a boss, and you're a brand new, weak character that has to learn how to beat it if you want to go any further. I've platinumed Souls games, beaten them, and walked away from them. They're infinitely aggravating and amazingly satisfying, if you can beat them.
No matter what people might say, Forspoken should be here. Forget the haters, they are just "woke this, woke that". Give the game a shot, I promise you won't regret it! It's a load of fun, in a time where games indeed feel more like a chore.
Funny you mentioned Forspoken because that game originally was supposed to be on this list. I took it out the last second because I was afraid people would have a fit it was on here😬I’m actually considering putting it in the next video now🤔thanks for the suggestion 👍
Forspoken is trash. Not even accounting for the “wokeness”. The protagonist you play as is excruciatingly unlikable. Not only is she cringey, she is an asshole to everyone throughout the entire game, and she is borderline retarded (not picking up the duffel bag of money in her burning apartment before she gets her cat). The story is lame. And the gameplay is repetitive and way too easy to be fun. Also the characters all look like there is something wrong with them, like down syndrome or something.
@All - I can't justify spending nearly 2k on 2 games, that I can't have time to enjoy, worse part, they're both remakes. If I were thinking of a third, It'd be another remake as well. Can't do it. Current consoles were all horrible, at least with different consoles we could all enjoy the same games, oops, sony exclusives kinda ruined that.
I really want to buy a PS5 and play HFW and GoWR. I played the originals of both on my gaming PC and not sure if the PS5 is worth just those 2 games right now. They both look absolutely amazing, even as someone who owns a ridiculous gaming PC, I can't deny those games look amazing on PS5. Just not sure what's coming in the next couple years.
@@SuperJumpReviews they don’t know what they’re looking at. When you’re used to playing every game at 30, you don’t even notice when a game is 60. It’s kind of a curse tbh
All these games are on ps4 🤦🏽♂️ so you guys literally paid $600 for a frame rate boost and a faster load time? You could not sell us this shit back in the day. All these games are on the unreal or RE engine so graphics area given. PC has been playing games in 60 fps for a while now but hey let’s hype up these consoles because idk why it’s really not smart to invest in home consoles anymore it’s all fluff and most of them are on pc
As long as the PS5 has been out, the few games worth playing have been very short and easy to beat. There are only 3 games in this list that held my interest. Not exactly a reason to justify getting a ps5 especially when talks of ps6 are floating around
I got one back in January thinking it was going to be a massive leap. I found myself somewhat disappointed at the limitations. I was hoping it could do everything it claimed in the advertising. While it dose run 4k, you can't always run 4k at 60fps. You have to settle for some weird in between resolution if you want a higher frame rate. Impo H.D.R. really is'int all it's cracked up to be. A fair number of games actually look better in S.D.R.. Or you can run ray tracing but only at a target 30 fps that dips below that from time to time. It's backwards compatibility with ps4 games is spotty. The more powerful hardware should make it look better right? Not always. Even after you download some stupid 20gb patch to make the game work you still get all kinds of in game issues. With all of that said it's still better than the PS4. But not as much as I'd hoped. 4k, hdr, ray tracing should function together flawlessly at 60 F.P.S. with every single game. That's what I expected.
There are a few games, mostly first party, that have a mixed mode which provides for 4k and 60fps at the same time. I believe its going to be something like the ps4, in which the graphics and performance improved a lot over its lifespam, because developers learned how to maximize their games for the platform
Hmm I don't know. A lot of this games are coming out for PC too. So basically if U have a gaming pc and you are getting a ps5 for its real exclusives you only will have 2 or 3 games.
Demon Souls Remake Ghost of Tsushima Returnal and so many interesting and beautiful looking games are running on the PS5 yet u choose Evil West over these...Man are u serious at all
I have a gaming PC, yet I'm feeling a powerful urge to get the PS5 recently. I haven't owned a console since the Xbox 360 so the console jump is big. Just feels kinda foolish to buy a console when I have a PC. So I'm not entirely sure yet.
Before watching the video, I predicted Resident Evil 4 would be #1 and I was correct. My favorite next-gen game so far. I've been meaning to check out Evil West. I watched a review where someone tried to bash it by calling it "a PS3 game", but I just so happen to love PS3 games, so that only made me want to buy it even more.
Where exactly are the games? I've had a PS5 for two years and there's nothing to play. I'm sick of the COD rehashes. I think there weren't that many new games at the beginning and I just thought they would come out as time went on. No, nothing. It's like the videogame companies are just taking advantage and don't care anymore. This probably will be my last system, TBH. Unless they start putting out more games, I'm done.
@@SuperJumpReviews There's just nothing out there that makes me want to go out and play it the same day. It's depressing. The last time I played a game that had a story so amazing, it changed my life was probably Spec Ops: The Line and Dead Space 1. Everything since then has just been garbage. The last Spiderman game was ok, I won't touch the Miles Morales garbage, have always hated him.
There is absolutely no justification in this video to buy a ps5. Stick to the ps4 because all the games except 2 of them are in ps4 and the graphics are not much of a noticeable difference. The new consoles are a huge disappointment, no need to buy games for $70 when you all can get them in ps4 for $60. Don't waste your money in a ps5, there is no need at all.
