You’re both so much fun to watch. Found Kate, Robbie & Claudia through Janey and I just love Jenny from Creekside. Started watching Laura and then found anotherLaura @ Gardening for Serenity. I’ve learned and enjoyed you all so much. I live on .25 acre in the Central Valley Ca. With climate much like Janey & Robbie zone 9b grew up in the Bay Area so quite the shock. We don’t cool down in the evenings until now in September. Couldn’t maintain the property on my own while working full time so ripped it out and went cactus and succulent. Best decision ever although also requires a bit of work but now retired so easier to accomplish. Still watch you all and continue to learn and get my flower fix from you all. It’s such a pleasure to watch you all with your deep passion for all things garden. Thank you so much for sharing your talent, lessons, passion and fun.

Thanks for sharing. This was so much fun! On Sunday, I was planting some hydrangeas and something caught my eye. Believe it or not, I have a dozen blooms on my lilac in September in southern Wisconsin. This was on a old variety from my great aunt's garden. Also, this summer we have had so many monarchs mating in our wild gardens. It is so wild because we had so much rain in the spring with 8 inches in May and 13 inches in June. I have been playing catch up all season but I never give up! I always enjoy your videos!

I always loved flowers, but in 2020 I found Laura from Garden Answer and it changed my world. Now I've learned to just go for it, It's like painting a room , You can always change it!

Kate and Janey, this was such a fun video. If my hands were tools, one would be an auger and one would be the Cobra Head weeder, and of course I would be able to make my hands appear as needed - to at least scratch my nose.

I have an older kobalt hand trowel with measurements, teeth on one side, and a sharp side with the hook. I use the hook to open the bags of dirt I acquire. Good to know know it cuts twine also! Stargazer lily is my favorite scent. This video was amazing!

My favorite smell would be Sweet Shrub (sweet bubby). They grow wild here in NC and when they were in bloom, we would lower the windows on the school bus (this was in the '60's) as we passed them. You two remind me of my girl friends when we get together each month; in our 70's but still act like teenagers.

What a treasure the two of you 🩷🩷 Favorite flower … cabbage roses because I can’t grow them because I refuse to fight black spot……in the south the humidity and I tried everything known to man for 40 years , favorite tool Japanese hand hoe …..I learned to garden from my mother and grandmother,but got great ideas from Martha Stewart. And PBS garden shows,I am old 😃😃😃. But it still fun to watch you tube gardeners, There is a saying KNOW YOUR OWN GARDEN ,humidity and red clay is not high desert. ,and yes FAILING is learning. I loved hearing answers to the questions from both of you . This was so enjoyable 🍁🍂

Hello Kate! I was watching your garden tour with Janey and noticed the white trim around your windows and door. It looks like you started to paint out the white with a dark color. I like that idea but think you should have a little fun with it and go a deep plum with a touch of red to it. It would go with your darker plants like coleus and the centers of your petunias in the back window boxes.

The minute you asked Janey what is your favorite garden tool, I said horihori. Been gardening for years and hust discovered it this year.😊
