I spent so long playing the Madagascar game. I was recording some background gameplay and after 2 hours I was like ‘hang on, why am I still playing this?!’
I remember it actually being pretty good… like, surprisingly good. Like, even back in the day I was expecting it to be a soulles cash grab and was pleasantly surprised. I don’t remember much about it, besides it being really good.
I remember the best parts of the Madagascar game was killing guards and running them over with carts and stuff. Kids' games made me sadistic at a young age I guess🤣
Should've made the thumbnail more accurate he said I'll give you a buck to stop is not I'll pay you to stop. You had the first one right why make the second one wrong? Clickbait isn't allowed on here.
For Bolt, what makes the detail even more impressive is that the game takes place on the TV Show that Bolt was (unknowingly) acting on, in the actual movie. So the game is basically Rhino, the one is talking, watching the TV Show.
The bolt easter egg reminds me that in the Incredibles game, if you stay on the main menu for long enough you'll hear frozone telling you to start the game repeatedly
I love how they put in a Zelda reference in the Scooby doo game, only instead of a horde, you get a giant chicken/rooster that'll instantly one-hit KO you.
Jesus, what is WITH Video Games and fricken Chickens?! Zelda, Scooby Doo, Skyrim, why do people keep making one of the weakest birds on Earth into the Ultimate Evil in the Universe? 😂
I was obsessed with that Madagascar game. I would often leave the game running while I did other things and I remember leaving Marty on the treadmill and discovering that accidentally
Here’s a good one: In Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis for the Nintendo DS, if you pause the game and close the DS lid, you’ll hear Mario say some pretty funny things like “Bye bye!” “Hey, come back here you!” And “Not again!” 😂
I remember playing that scooby doo game and being so surprised at the chicken! I actually got it by accident, I wasn’t trying to hit it so it really came out of nowhere 😂
madagascar the video game is a classic!! it needs to be talked about more! although there’s 2 little segments that are just hard as hell for no reason lol
I loved that Buzz Lightyear game when I was a kid. There was a glitch, though, at least on PC, that would make the Zurg boss, found near the end of the game, nearly impossible. And, there would be no way to know whether or not this glitch was active until you got to that part of the game. The only way to fix this glitch would be to start the entire game over and just hope it didn't happen again.
One of my favorite details from a licensed game actually spans two LEGO games. Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. Not only were both film series put out by Lucasfilm, but they shared actor Harrison Ford as a major character. This was something that the LEGO games had fun with. In Star Wars, you can unlock Indiana Jones by going to the Bonus Room and watching the trailer for his “upcoming” game. In Indiana Jones, you actually have to work to unlock Han Solo, as you have to find and rescue all of his friends hidden across various levels. They even got their own cute little cutscenes! So, in short, two of Harrison Ford’s most famous characters are playable across two LEGO games, and I think that’s pretty awesome.
I remember this one Easter egg video you did, it was like a sun puzzle that you use to unlock a door into this beautiful penthouse and then like an 8 hour something video?
I can hear gloria crunching on those peppers. I missed the old madigascar game. Never expected to hear about it anywhere. Also, in the Spiderman game my favorite thing to do on the rooftop level was pull people off of buildings and watch them fall to the streets below. Props for the devs to allow child me to be sociopath Spiderman.
captain theres a cool detail in assasins creed oddesy where when an enemy puts down their weapon and you go out of hiding they will go get their weapons and then attack you
When you go AFK in the bionicals game and the character taps on the screen it use to scare me as a kid 😂 this is probably due to the grudge movie but still it had no right making the fat back tv screen tapping noise so accurately
@@qinxalim9764There was a lot. While they were terrible, I do miss the old tie-in movie games. Though my childhood game that will always have a special place in my heart is, Robin Hood Defender of The Crown. It had first person jousting.
There's another cool little detail in the opening level of the Madagascar game. If you keep hitting the ostriches on Gloria's level, she'll chime in and say: "You can stop hitting ostriches now." It was awesome to see the developers go the extra mile on little moments like that in a movie tie-in game. Made it just a bit more memorable than it probably should have been.
I remember playing the Madagascar game and discovered the hidden dialogue. Never finished the game though, found the avoiding wind part difficult at the time.
There’s actually a hidden detail in fallout 4 that was removed for fear of breaking the game Originally in fallout 4 you could have dogmeat and a normal companion when traveling it was removed for fear of breaking the game and is visible by the fact that the lone wanderer perk isn’t affected by dogmeat But the modding community put that back into the game without any issues Well there’s a ton of hidden dialogue regarding companions when dogmeat is critically injured and needs a stimpack Piper, Preston, and nick will be incredibly worried and you can gain affinity by helping him up Danse will tell you in military speak that he’s injured or i think yell at you for taking him into battle Macready will just tell you he’s injured and Currie will be worried but not to the extent Preston piper and nick are Strong will ask when he can eat dogmeat And x6 will pretty much tell you to kill dogmeat rather than help him up These interactions can only be truly found with that mod installed but it shows how the devs payed attention to how your normal companions will react to seeing dogmeat wounded
Considering the story mission where Dogmeat had to help you find something (forgot what that something was) this actually makes a lot of sense, especially considering if you don't have him following you, he's conveniently there when you need him
I discovered this the other day with Codsworth and Dogmeat as my companions. He said something like "The dog is down" and I thought it was an additional part of the mod. Neat to see it was an intended part of the original game!
You don't necessarily need mods. The lines will trigger in a vanilla playthrough under the right circumstances, such as if you have Dogmeat and other companions at a settlement that's under attack and Dogmeat gets hurt during a fight. Or in my case, Triggermen were chasing me and Dogmeat around Diamond City. They followed me into Publik Occurrences where Dogmeat got wounded and it prompted a reaction from Piper.
I remember the best parts of the Madagascar game was killing guards and running them over with carts and stuff. Kids' games made me sadistic at a young age I guess🤣
as I recall, in the 2002 Spider-Man you could unlock the Green Goblin to play as, either through a cheat-code or as a you-beat-the-game unlock (I don't remember which) but it was Harry Osborne in the suit instead of Norman and rather than just being a straight up re-skin, it changed how you play the game and changed most if not all of the dialogue to reflect you playing as Harry instead of Peter.
Kinda funny but one reason is because Josh Keaton, the voice of Harry in the game, was originally cast as Spider-Man before Tobey said yes, so they actually used some of Josh’s lines for the Goblin part
In the first level there is a purse you can find on a roof and if you look around you can find a random woman, give her the purse and you can play as Harry if I remember correctly.
Gosh, I played the Madagascar game way more than I'd like to admit as a kid and I did find the treadmill easter egg on my own, it certainly got a laugh out of me
yes! me and my sisters found the madagascar one while we were having a snack between gameplay, also is the kung fu panda game the one on ps2 where you could do multiplayer pvp?
I don’t remember if it was in the same game or a different installment, but the “this is animal abuse!” Line is also used in s level where you get blown around by wind. Marty would say stuff every time he got blown back and that was one of the lines he had a chance to say! I remember it because I thought it was super funny and kept blowing him around to try and get him to say it again.
there was a detail i found interesting in skyrim recently. you know in the dawnguard dlc where harkon can give you his blood to join him on becoming a vampire. if you are already a werewolf, there is some extra dialogue with harkon saying my blood will purge that filth or something of that sort. there is probably some other dialogue if you are already a vampire from the disease but not from him.
That detail regarding Harkon and the Lycanthropy isn’t exactly a hidden detail it would most likely appear if you got the disease from other werewolves especially if you have Moonlight Tales installed.
Toy Story 2 game brings back some great memories. Youd have to go back to previous levels to use new upgrades to 100% A feature that was not to used in games of this era much, especially kids games!
In the Lego Marvel Game, Stan lee actually has multiple powers from several other heroes.... pretty sure he can also websling like Spider-Man and Hulk out as well..... they gave the creator of a ton of heroes, a ton of powers from those heroes.
I didn't even know most of these games exist. Have you done a details list for Lego games yet? Would be nice to test my knowledge of all the X360 titles.
Honestly I still like replaying the Madagascar games (1 and 2 are made by the same studio that ended up doing skylanders and spyro remakes later haha) every now and then, they're easy and short but pretty fun (and chaotic sometimes). Plus the multiplayer minigames are a cool addition.
I remember that one from Madagascar, I kept playing it over and over again trying to get every coin in every level (sadly didn't managed) but spent so much time playing the mini games in it.
Hey Captain, I think i found another reference to IT that you missed but TBH im not 100% sure its a reference, let me explain. In Hitman, one of the escalation missions in Paris sees you dressed up as a clown, and while exploring the surroundings, you can find several red balloons. Now this isn’t in a sewer, but with red balloons showing up all over games, i wouldn’t be surprised
For Video Game Easter Eggs: In Zombie Army 4's Ragnarok Part 2 DLC during the first "Survive the Ambush" objective, one of the characters, when giving story exposition about the beginning of the universe, says the line "In primordial space, timeless creatures made waves." This is referencing the exact same line from Marathon 2 of the famous Marathon series.
I loved the Madagascar game. I thought that but with Marty was funny as hell when i played it. Like the whole Crash Bandicoot vibes that they had especially enjoyed The Penguins levels
Don't know if you covered this, but in "zelda, tears of the kingdom", when link wears a monster mask, when idle, link acts like the monster he is disguised as Edit: just realized the mask also makes noise of the monster
The Samurai Jack game was my favourite during my childhood..one of the first game i finished in one sitting..5 hours if im not misremembering hahahaha..didnt have a memory card back then..love the crystal, electric and fire upgrades for the katana and bow tho
In Forza Horizon 5 if you are afk in the character customisation menu at the start of the game Scott one of the npcs will start to get a bit impatient.
In Batman Arkham Knight, when you get punched by Gordon, you can see where he punched you. Later in the game if you look closely, it'll briuse up. It reminds me of Arkham Asylum, when he grew a stubble on his face.
Madagascar Kartz was my first Wii game as a kid, but I don't remember any cool details about it lol, this is just one of the only times it'll be topically relevant
I played the hell outta that Bolt game when I was a kid, but I didn't have any storage on my Xbox, so I was never able to finish it. This video makes me wanna play it again.
I have an detail in black ops it may have been told but you can shoot reznov but you can't shoot the allies like woods implying that reznov is not there
Damn Madagascar for the ps2 was one of my first games. And because I didn’t had a memory card I every time grindet the whole game (or only for 30minutes because my parents didn’t allowed me to play more when I was a small munchkin of 6)
Disney Villains' Revenge has enough outrageous details to be in its own video. I think the biggest is when the doorknobs, In and Out, reference the Warner Bros: In: Hey, what's up, Doc? Ha ha! Out: Try to remember who we work for...
i remember playing a few games that had some funny idle animations as a kid. one was Ecco the dolphin: Defender of earth's future, i remember leaving the game idle once to see what would happen (hard thing to do because you have to go up for air every now and then), but when you leave ecco alone long enough he'll turn around and squeak at you impatiently lol another one was dog's life, if you leave jake alone long enough he'll say and do multiple things. sometime's he'll get bored and fall asleep, othertimes he'll get impatient and say things like "come on! can we go yet!?", and sometimes he'll turn around and bark at you XD
