For the last year, I’ve been caring for a dog whose owner has had to go into a care home. Every time we visit the heads straight for the the entrance of the home up the stairs and to the gentleman’s room, as soon as I open the door he jumps on the man’s lap and licks him like mad, then he settles down on his lap and goes to sleep. The only other person the dog licks is me, it’s only very occasionally and it’s only one feather light flick of the tongue, usually on the end of my nose while I’m talking to him. The dog doesn’t ever lick anyone else or sit on anybody’s lap.

So I barely made it through this video. I grew up with Dogs. I am currently sixty one years old and I don't think that I've ever gone more than a single year without having at least one dog at home. When I was just a little boy I allowed dogs to lick me all the time. In the face, hands, arms and legs. I believed the old wives tale that dogs mouths are cleaner than humans. And as far as I was concerned having a dog lick your face was even somehow healthy for you. Something I probably picked up from one of the other kids at school. But that old wives tale was a very popular falsehood. Of course a dog's mouth is not cleaner than a humans. Although humans have tons of bacteria in their mouths as well. But we don't regularly lick our own genitals , what a shame, and butt holes like dogs do every single day multiple times a day. Even right after pooping and after having sex or menstruating. So as I became older I began to question that old beliefs and I found out it was just a bunch of BS. So now when I see people allowing their dogs to lick their faces and especially their lips and open mouths. I really have to look away because it makes me want to barf! IT may well be a sign of affection but I'm the Alpha and I decide for them how to show their affection towards me. And licking in my face is quickly discouraged. Depending on the dog I may still allow them to lick my hands as long as I remember to wash them later. But some dogs just have a slimy, slithering sort of lick that just makes my skin crawl. So those I don't allow any licking at all. Although they can usually get away with a quickie once in a blue moon. But they understand my limits. So next time you think about allowing your dog to lick your face especially. Much less your mouth. I just want you to think about you yourself licking their genitals and butt holes. Because you might as well be if you're letting them lick your face. Yakkkk! 🤢🤢🤢🤢
