I'd like to second this. It's ok to have favorites, or tastes. You tell it straight, and don't sugar coat it. Like your recent tier list. "This is what I like/think, take it or leave it." That is so refreshing. holy shmoly.
Man I'm so glad I found your channel, I'm an Xbox player who's just made it to HW and I used your hotbar/settings/macro video to just continue fine-tuning my settings You just make super chill, informative videos. This channel will take off for sure with this type of content, can't wait for more videos!
Me and my wife play on ps4 and I'm trying to get my friend to play, he's on xbox. I was wondering how do the controls feel? The ps touch pad is super useful for navigating things and I wasn't sure how they'd handle it on xbox
@@GrimViridian Xbox controller feels completely fine, there is a virtual mouse option in place in order to make menu navigation a little faster like you can do on the PS touchpad but honestly menu navigation on the sticks is just fine to me on both controllers. If your friend is on a Series X I really didn't mind using the base controller at all until I bought a Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma controller, which I'd recommend over base PlayStation and Xbox controllers anyway. It has nice, responsive clicky buttons, triggers and bumpers and any button can be re-mapped to anything you want as well as 4 backpaddle's that can be remapped to any face button which is obviously very useful in MMO's on console. Xbox controllers are absolutely fine but I recommend your friend buys a Wolverine Chroma controller and you and your wife get one too, they're for sure better when it comes to games like MMO's
Started playing in 6.55 did the msq and just recently cleared the savage tier. This will be my first new expansion and I can’t wait there is so much to look forward to 💯
How did you clear the story up To that point? You either skipped every piece of dialogue or bought a boost. No way you started in 6.55 and cleared all the way to end walker and completed the whole story
Hey man I’m an old FFXI player that just started FFXIV. Your videos have helped me a lot. Thanks! Most of the stuff i google is so outdated so I’m happy to have your content. Keep up the good work
Came across your channel when you had around 200 subs. Love your content and am always excited when you release a new video. My favorite youtuber now and cant wait to watch more of your videos!
I just started playing the game again with my level 70 white mage. Watching your content really helps me get up to speed with the game again. Everything's chill and it's exactly the attitude I want to have towards this game. Keep up the great content!
Been loving this channel. And for me I think you hit the nail on the head, just having content like roulettes and fates again to chill in voice call with friends and just hang out is going to be a fun change of pace.
I can't understate how much fun that initial week is with 2x EX. some of the most fun I had in PF was during that time period. Not to mention, World boss Fates having massive crowds and hunt trains are full of new-expansion vigor. A lot of fun ahead!
I've been through the story twice and once they finish rolling out the update to the whole game, likely in the Dawntrail patches, I will play through it again just to see the new textures and lighting in action. I really hope the Hrothgar aren't the last race that gets added but I think a lot of the difficulty comes from how they handled gear in the system. A new race basically requires a re-design of every gear item in the game to fit the new models. Hopefully they can streamline that process, maybe with some sort of AI assistant for the art team. Job wise I have been hoping since I started playing the game that we would see mystic knight but viper looks good too. I'll keep hoping.
You know, it's nice seeing some positivity for the game. You hit all the things I'm looking forward to except one. As a healer main, I am *so excited* for fresh dungeons and under geared content. Healing fresh content is so much fun.
Man you're over hear wanting to go into unknown content while being responsible for everyone's lives meanwhile I'm scared to try tanking basic dungeons XD
@@GrimViridian but that's the fun part! Lol I've been playing healer in MMOs for almost 20 years. At this point, fresh content is the only challenging content. So I love it
first time seeing a video from you and i love it! you have a very chill vibe and a nice speaking voice. very calming :D was a pleasure listening to this while mindlessly grinding in game xD
Man I think the graphics update is going to be huge honestly sure it’s not UE5 but even though each aspect in the presentation was somewhat subtle all of it combined is going to be fantastic. Also I think for viper they are just gonna 3 to 5 button combo, hit a button to change stance, do another combo, rinse repeat. Thats basically all melee in the game. Would be nice if they overhauled all of them. Also they should get rid of separate abilities/combos for aoe. Just give the single target combos cleave.
Really love your videos. Just so good to watch and chill while hearing your thoughts. Really hyped for Dawntrail, from what we heard so far it might be another Stormblood 2.0 content banger!
Started playing a year before Stormblood, and I gotta say I'm hyped for Viper. I'm a huge fan of the concept samurais and I've been playing it in 14 since 2017. Viper is first job in a long time that'll make me drop SAM to try it out. Great video btw!
Glad I found your channel. Great videos. Followed your Twitch for when that gets going. I came to the game from xbox ESO right before Endwalker, so DT will be a big even for me. You are right about the community. I was hoping more of my xbox friends would try the game, but I have been playing solo. After I play through the DT story, I plan to finally break down and join an FC. I think Hunts, Fates, and even roulettes would be a blast with a crew of friends. Looking forward to Viper and taking on tanking this expansion.
Hell yeah Vit im excited, I play on Behemoth & im on my first character currently. Trying to make the push to get ready for dawntrail by early access! Level 63 Paladin and im at the very end of Heavensward
I actually thought you have 100-300k subs by watching this ,like your voice and the videos quality doesn't look like a small channel at all ,i wanna say that this is underrated but it seems like you just started this channel so gl, you have the potential to be the ff channel we needed
My main goal for dawntrail is dive further into raiding.I did some experts and a few savage raid bosses but never finished the tiers. Cant wait to get on my pictomancer and start gaining more confidence in raiding and clearing content.
The hype, for me, is real with viper. Early access going straight to unlock it then burn the next two days with leveling, drinking water, and keeping my FFXIV diaper changed.
Wow first time this has happened, First! Also love the content, keep it up Edit: also as a console about to redeem the free starter bundle on xbox, im assuming I should buy the dawn trail expansion and not endwalker since i'll get everything anyway right?
Hello fellow Primal player!!! My main is also on Primal, though through the wait period, I've been spending a *lot* of time on an Alt on the Crystal DC lol. Got her up to StB so far!
Would love to see fates that are mini puzzles, kite cattle mobs through a series of gates, massive amounts of enemies, you have to be careful with pulls to not overwhelm yourself, kill enemies in a certain order, mini versions of past bosses with mini versions of their mechanics, bardams mettle style tests for fates etc, go wild with it
I just started playing this game in February and playing through endwalker right now im soooo excited to join a new expansion with everyone I just love this game im already 300 hours in 😭
There's also that vendor in Mor Dhona who sells you the mount or the Fall Angel Wings with the bicolor gemstone vouchers. Overall, you need to do about 5,000 fates to get everything.
I really want to know more about Pictomancer, because we know (from Krile and in other FF games) they can heal. So, instead of being able to raise downed people, they'll have heals? If so, will they be casting time heals, or more like insta-cast and regens or something? If the second... they might end up being amazing at soloing: A DPS that can heal themselves?
there’s so much in this upcoming expansion i keep forgetting all that’s happening lol. i started mid 5.55 and was in HW by the time EW came out, i still have a lot more to do but nevertheless i’m so excited for my first new expansion!
I’m insanely excited for Viper. I’m new to the game and have felt meh about most the melee dps. Told me girlfriend “I could really get into melee if there was a twin blade class.” She pointed on the next expansion and I immediately decided I wanted to buy the game. 😂
Very nice, thats one thing about this game, there's a ton of jobs so finding one you like is likely and they're all viable in all content (don't listen to anyone who says otherwise) you've got a while to go before you unlock viper though
I'm with you on leveling. I'll be even crazier than you, I miss having jobs to level that start at level 1. It's sad that we will never get that experience ever again
For 100 or just this expac in general i kinda hope they flair up some of the skills and LBs. The newer jobs obviously get the fancier FX but even the sound design is superior too. Nothings more satisfying than the reaper LB purely for the visuals and sound design so i hope for DT they level up some of the other jobs in that department. Also hoping against all hope the lvl100 Samurai ability isn't an AoE and slaps *Hard* visually and numbers wise
So since i play from A Realm Reborn i say the job trailer releases around the media tour time so it will be in mid to late may in about 1 month from now
Really hoping for more world content like Gangos, just be in zones between msq and slowly grow gear. Something nice about seeing faces pass by, especially before people start flying about and porting.
There comes a point with skill bloat where, occasionally, they just need to clean things up. Like Paladin’s single target combo and multi target combo could be a single button that transforms. There’s not really a good reason to keep them as separate buttons anymore.
Sorry, it's been a while since I set this up. It's actually part of Nvidia GeForce Experience I believe, along with shadowplay for recording clips and such. Game filter is pretty easy to dial in. I only adjust brightness and sharpening, but there's a whole bunch in there you can play with to get games looking how you like.
@@99_Vit NP I just built this pc so I didn't know something like this existed. Thank you got it working! just need to play around with it to my liking now
You should make a video discussing what they should do with the level increase after the next expansion. Should they raise the level cap to 110 or should they do something else? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this
@@99_Vit I kinda hope they don't go with level squish. Instead they should do something similar to what final fantasy 11 does after level 99. Merit point system
Been looking forward to fem hrothgar ever since the males were introduced. My WoL's name literally means "Earth Tiger" So well, there ya go. So glad they came out looking great and I can't wiat for the benchmark so I can finally check them out fully. I'll admit it'll be tough to switch as I love my WoL's current Viera appearance, but it must be done! 4:20 100% agree. No offense to the other races but they really are just different flavors of "Human". While neither of the new classes are fully up my alley I'm happy to see them regardless. Also a melee DPS main so Viper is the most intriguing. I was hoping for a Druid-like "tribalistic" class to go along with the tropical climate as a new mage, but Pictomancer at least is very unique.
I waited so long for a new caster, but picto didn't really hit for me like everyone else. I hope everyone likes it, but I don't think I'll be picking it up. On the other hand, I'm super excited for Viper, especially since playing Magick spearhand on Dragon's Dogma 2!
for the skills discussion. I hope they just change the MNK dash/blink. I hate targetting units just to move around. Unlike RPR, it's just straight forward, literally. I main nin now, and I can at least ground target it. I just have trouble targetting teammates!
My only complaint with the fate log is that it requires too many to access the full list of items from each vendor. You already have to do a lot fo fates to earn the currency, but requiring so many fates in each zone is just overly excessive IMO. I haven't ever been willing to complete any of the fate logs added to the game so far and I don't anticipate that changing if the amounts do get cut in half at the very least.
My brain cant process having every class at max level lol. Now that i have hit 90 on summoner even lelveling my crafters and gatherers feels like a massive project
I love Hrothgar & their history! I'd play a male Hrothgar instead of my male Au Ra if the Hrothgar stood up straight! They are hunched over & that causes allot of outfits to clip all over their bodies! I still can't decide what I play first either Viper or Pictomancer! I hope Beastmaster isn't bad like Blue Mage currently is! I wish they would remove Limited Jobs all together! I stopped leveling my jobs to current level cap! I am playing other games from my huge gaming list! I will be back if another in game event happens either crossovers or holidays! If not, I will come back about a month or two weeks before launch! I am stoked for Dawntrail content because I love my FFXIV Family! I need to find an FC before launch too!
I finished Heavensward three days ago and am now in the middle of the Dragonsong War storyline. Do you think I can get caught up with everything the main story has to offer before Dawntrail comes out?
Ehhh it’s getting tight if you’re not into stormblood yet. You could probably no life it and do nothing but the story but it’s probably better to take your time and enjoy the ride
@GrimViridian that's what I've decided. I'm in the middle of Shadowbringers now. By the time I'm ready to get into Dawntrail, I'll have plenty of time until the expansion after that.
Iam very excited for the graphics update, hopefully my ps4 wont turn into a jet, the expansion is looking good as well but Iam too broke to be excited for it, these expansions are expensive af T_T they're definitely worth it tho
The thing that is holding me from getting back into the game is the fact you cannot create a new character on the server you want if congested. This to me is madness, I'd happily pay... queue for months, whatever it would take, so long as I would be eventually allowed to create it, but nope... because we have the whole migration thing, you can create it on a different server than aether your way to the server you want. Well this does not work if you want to spend time with friends while also waiting on dungeons and whatnot, because you cannot queue up if you are not on your own server. This is so damn stupid and I do not understand why they do not do it like ANY OTHER mmo out there. Create a character and if the server is congested, just wait for a space to free up. It is not damn rocket science (also queuing to log in already exists so what is the F*** problem???)
You can absolutely queue for anything if you’re visiting another server. You can also pay to permanently server transfer later when the world you want is no longer congested. Only thing you can’t really do when server traveling is use your retainers
I'm excited because Endwalker was such a let down, I have removed all expectations so if it's any good then sweet, but if not I'm fine with it. I just want to level my classes again lol. Could care less about the story and characters until they start killing them off.
Got a question for yall. I'm older picked up my son's old account played thru shadowbringers and partly thru endwalker. I play mch simpler rotation can move around alot no cast times. I'm not acquainted with older content but looking to swap to tank or healer for dawntrail. What would you suggest?
@99_Vit alright I figure with new dps classes the que won't get any better. So thought I might try my hand at tank or heals. I used to be a bear tank back in my wow days
Hopefully the class/job design is better. Expansion to expansion theyve lowered the skill floors and ceilings every single time. Hopefully they go for a more...easy to play hard to master approach for at least one or two jobs for people that like to master their class. I play every ff expansion and most patches and have been around since the start of ARR, but I play other mmos in the meantime and really the combat is the weakest part for FF and it has only been getting worse. Yoshi P did acknowledge that so hopefully that changes.
I just started the free trial on Xbox a couple of days ago. What’s the best/most popular server for roleplaying and raiding? I’m in Ultros (NA) and everyone is either AFK and never around when I’m doing my quests and stuff. Feels dead. Edit: I’m only a level 17 Marauder and never played FF14 before.
I keep trying to get into ffxiv because I love final fantasy, but I can't get past the TERRIBLE UI 😭 i understand that it's not meant to be a console game but God damn bro
If you mean how it’s placed, you can literally move every element of the ui around, but if you mean how it looks you’re outta luck on console without mods
I'm glad they aren't trying to add more races since it'll take ages for them to model for each race but the female hrothgar got me thinking... What if they gave each race different height options. Like Tall, human-size and lalafell size? They could reuse the existing races bodies so the models would work on them as well and they can just call them Hybrids. Now a short cat-person or a giant human could work but then we have the problem of races like lalafell who don't really look right with other taller body types. We could scale their size (since there are giant versions of the ff11 small race lalafell are inspired by) but I don't know if that'll work. Probably a terrible idea, I want to know what you all think? It could be an easier way for the team to add new glams without having to do all that work again; however would it feel right? Or would it feel forced or half-baked?
Min/maxing ruins the game. Been playing since the game came out and it’s always the same. Fates are a great example. Give it a week and no one will be doing them anymore. The playerbase doesn’t enjoy it, they only care about getting to the end game.
