I'm definitely interested a lot in this game and I have a couple friends who really like it, but I'm gonna hold off until we know more about how gbvsr actually works, because it seems to be a new game so wasting my money buying the old one may not be a great idea, especially with how much dlc it has.

Wait for Rising.

Raz, I bought GBVS last week to see if I'd enjoy it enough to get into Rising once it comes out and since then I've been DIGGING YT for nowadays content on the game and for my surprise too little ppl are doing it. Man I know how tough it is to edit and plan stuff so I just wanted to congratulate you for the insane effort and quality you showed on the characters overviews. If I had entered the GBVS without FG knowledge I'm sure you would've been one of those heartful heroes youtube randomly recommends

I was waiting for an excuse to pick GBVS up again I got into it when the pandemic already started, but when they announced rising, I immediately reinstalled the game but I'm still trying to learn another character besides Percival lol. I'm happy the game is getting a second chance.

I just want the RPG game that's coming out hoping 2023 what a game it's looking to be love JRPGs

Unique intros for both variants of 1P vs 2P and 2P vs 1P (i.e. 1P Gran vs 2P Katalina and 1P Katalina vs 2P Gran are different) as well as unique outros for each matchup is something that I really appreciate. It's amazing how much characters' relations you can learn just from those (also there are unique call outs for some moves if characters are especially related, like Lancelot vs Percival). This as well as taunts and dramatic super poses (+ super outro) also flesh out characters' personalities. I miss old BlazBlue and Guilty Gear XX style dynamic intros (snippets of scripted fight) but Charlotta vs Charlotta is probably my fav intro of all time (they fight for each other's box so the winner can stand on TWO of them). Also some closeup stuff like Metera grabbing losers face or A.Belial straight up gouging out a hole in loser's chest (from loser's POV) are cool (or charming in case of Metera) as heck. I really hope Rising won't drop this aspect (I understand why they chose to drop RPG mode in favor of more standard Story mode). Anytime I find a new game that has no taunts I feel a bit disappointed. Finally, I think the game really did what it was set out to do - it lured me into regular Granblue Fantasy fan (though I'm still starting with that one).

I had an eye on this game, but i left DBF cuz the delay netcode, I don't have excuses now, they even put crossplay. When they update the game, I will purchase it for sure

I love Granblue Fantasy Versus. I think this game has a great foundation of what is needed for a fighting game in modern times, especially in the single player department. But I have to disagree with buying the game in its current state as the main attraction for a fighting game is, well, the fighting. I believe it would be much better for the interest of new Skyfarers if they wait for Rising to be released as the delay based netcode stands as the only major caveat for the game's sustainability. Great video nonetheless though

Never stop playing ranked when i can find matches I'm not not really into lobbies I like ranked I wish they had casuals because when you go to lobbies only a few ppl actually play in NY lobby

I was interested in picking this up at a mega sale, so I’m glad to know that it was a good decision to not jump the gun so quickly. The only thing that is still rubbing me the wrong way is the character roster, now I’m not familiar with the source material but as a first impression; it’s kinda weird to see so many knights and paladins in the roster. I know that they’re a big part of the fantasy genre, and they probably play a big role in the actual game that GBVS is based on. But that also raises another question about them not including more distinct and unique archetypes, from a game that presumably has this giant and vast selection of different races and creatures. I’m not knocking the game since I’m probably gonna get it when this new version comes out; but that’s one of the major things that immediately stood out to me.

I would like to play this game but there is literally no one playing it.

If you like to play online, it's a waste of money and you should wait for Rising. I've been wanting to play this game for so long because of all the reasons in this video and more, but if I can't play online properly none of that matters.

7:35 Point #2 is definitely not 100% true there are some very broken characters in this game and bad ones too. Point #3 seems to forget that overdrive exists. And point #4 forget that’s the majority of the cast has air stalls and a few have double jumps. Aside from that then it’s a neat video.
